    Unfortunately Lip Filler migration is extremely common and there are multiple reasons as to why this occurs.
    Even if you go to the best injector, with the best qualifications, there is still a risk that you will experience filler migration. However, there are so many techniques that will slim down the chances of this happening to a patient and in this video I explain how I changed my technique completely!

    FAQ💬
    Q: "Can I get my filler dissolved and re-injected?"
    A: Yes you can! After having your filler dissolved, you will have to wait 2-3 weeks before any filler is injected again.
    Q: "How often do you need lip filler?"
    A: This is all dependent on the person. Everyone is different in how their body reacts and how quickly they break down the filler. We always make sure that you come back for a review so that one of our surgeons can assess your results and determine whether or not you need more.
    Q: "What are lip fillers made of?"
    A: Hyaluronic Acid and this is a naturally occurring substance in the body.

    I had filler for the first time in May. Did all my research and picked someone who’d been doing this for years. She injected the vermillion border and it migrated. 6 weeks later had to go to someone else and get it dissolved. She was surprised the border had been filled. So will be back to the new injector but she will only put 0.5ml in the body of the lip.

    I thought migration happens only if the lips have been injected too many times till it cant hold any more filler? Just like a ballon being filled with water and will burst eventually.

I’ve just atartef massaging juts outside my lips where the filler migrated to and they look like they are changing shape before my very eyes and the migration looks way less. Not sure if this will hold but I hope it does. I’m 5 weeks after injecting

    I’ve had somewhat of a puffy boarder around my top lip even prior to getting my lips done. I’ve only had two full syringes which was done separately within a 4 month time span. My injector says we should inject Botox on the top of my lip to relax the muscle. What is your take on this?

      This can certainly affect the filler. It can’t sometimes illicit a mild inflammatory response. My recommendation is to allow the area to settle and go back to your provider to assess the area to determine whether any intervention is required. Most cases are self limiting

      Could it be that you hate them because they're swollen? It takes minimum 2 weeks for lips to heal so they will look very different in the end. Filler lasts for a few months depending on the brand and will go away but you can get them dissolved if you're very unhappy. I suggest you wait for the 2 week mark and see how you like them healed.

    • @Drsomjiskin

    I’ve had 3 filler dissolves and two lances and I still have the same 3 nodule type lumps on my lip. I’m scared to re fill as the bigger they go the more prominent they will become. Do you have any idea what this could be? They’re not hard but still in certain lights can be seen

    • @phoenixluna4137
      @phoenixluna4137 Рік тому

      Thats a very good question. You should ask him again in a recent video so he can answer that. It's getting more common for nodules to develop from lip filler application. I've read to have the nodule area dissolved. What was the explanation they gave you for the nodules being present still?

    • @Drsomjiskin
      @Drsomjiskin  Рік тому

      This can be a granuloma which is an inflammatory reaction to filler and can’t be removed with dissolving. It may require steroid injection or surgery. Obviously examination and imaging is required

    But why aesthetician don't admit they are doing bad techniques and they are going to look like sausage ducky lip like the Russian technique 🤔? My top lip is thin, and i had to mini lips 3 months separate, so basically, it's 1 syringe 💉 but they look bad the top looks ducky put a line of thickness they use the Russian technique they look like that.. I had seen other videos when they dissolve fillers not because over filled they just had 1 syringe but because the technique was ugly and didn't got the results she wanted like me and they transform her lips from thin ducky with 1 syringe to valentine 💋 lips not ducky and the 2 weeks after they look plump but natural not migration or sign of she got fillers.

Now my lips start to look ducky from the side altough the front looks ok. I have to go back soon but don’t want to emphasise the unnatural look of my profile 🙈I want a more curled up front look without the elongated side look. Wish I lived near you to get it done better. What would you recommend ? Sabrina from Brussels Belgium.

      Traditional injection techniques (repeated horizontal injections into the lips) causes the “duck” look. Instead, find an injector who specializes in the fencing/Russian technique-VERTICAL injections to create vertical height-shortening the philtrum (distance between the upper lip & nose) with crisp borders-“flat” from the side view without projection (aka “duck” lips). You can watch this technique demonstrated here on UA-cam as well as find tons of examples of the “Russian lip filler” technique on Instagram. Also, Vobella would not be the ideal product for this technique. 🙂
