It was Kaiser/Zane Truesdale who was looking for the Cyber Dark Dragons that was locked away in the temple. When he turned edgy, he changed his name to Hell Kaiser. I think the original Duel Monsters name was Spells & Wizards in the manga. The idea of certain cards being character specific has always been odd to me. I guess some cards are one of a kind or have very little quantity in circulation. Arcana had his own Dark Magician and Alexis' brother had a Red Eyes, too. I totally forgot about the Tarzan themed student! 🤣
You guys are my favorite thing to listen to when I'm at the gym! On another note, isn't it interesting how Etrigan is sort of like DC's Devilman? The dynamic of Jason and Etrigan is so reminiscent of Akira and Amon to me. Both came out in 1972 as well! Oh, and since Shaheen was looking for reading recommendations, I think the original Jack Kirby run is really solid. Then there's a short story arc written by Dwayne McDuffie (Milestone Comics founder) where Etrigan tries to run for president and it goes completely off the rails. I think that one is in the 90's run.

I've only just now started to watch movies by myself, I wish I saw mazinger infinite in the movie theaters, but none of my friends wanted to go.
I was amazed to hear grandizer was getting a video game. I hope we get to swap skin and play as other mazinger robots like mazinkaiser skl.
