this set was sick..took me back…Roy Davis Jr. is legendary. His sets take you on a musical joyride. all u edm kids take notice. when they said "jack your body" it was because you had no choice the music took over your soul. it wasn't about just pumping your fist in the air and jumping up and down. we followed these dj's because they really were pioneers. they each had a sound of their own even though they were playing the same tracks. they didn't have computers to synch their tracks or visuals to distract you from what was going on..they relied soley on their talent and musical instincts on just the right track to play at just the right time, they would keep you moving through the night into the early morning without a break because they vibed with the crowd and fed off the energy released from them.
Dude....there are not enough thumbs up on this comment (nor could there ever be)! Unfortunately the EDM crowd does not come from the same background as the original House/Techno/Garage heads. There is such a lack of soul in todays pop culture, the reflection of which we see (or don't hear) in EDM. I pretty much is what it is generated from: the instant/ microwave/ disposable society that we currently have.
Wah duh tah my damie!
UnkleBlack Truth..Jack had a groove 😊
THIS!!!!!
Kids just don’t know
I keep coming back to this Boiler set over and over. Roy Davis Jr always puts it in my soul. This is why I dj. I'm grateful we have masters like this to inspire us. Chicago forever!
Chi town!!!!
Proton1 Yes eye Proton 1. I've been on 'hard' floors across the world with DJ's of the finest and deepest quality. Realistically, not that many. However those DJ's out there who carved the path and still craft the finest cuts and mixes have my utmost respect. An art that is all too easily judged and not understood...
Man this guy's a Master I hope I get as good as this him one day. Truly killer track selection! Amazing!
CH-TOWN!
This type of house, 70's/80's funk, 90's hip hop and Jazz were the reason why I started collecting vinyl.
I have mad love for Chicago. I'd leave base (Great Lakes) for the weekend and party in warehouses all over Chicago until Sunday. If you know the right people, S. Chicago can be beautiful.
I've jammed out to this set at least 20 times. He tore it up!
This mix was just too sick....his blending is superb!
wow, where do i begin, from start to finish, took chances, i felt the freedom in the room with each track, chicago deep dish house all over this set peace and blessings!

Had to come back to this mix tonight to listen to 16:30. RIP Bobby Womack.
I been coming back and showing my friends this mix for over 6 months, everyone loves it!
+conemar That original Roxanne blend with Woman's gotta have it is nothing short of MAGIC!
that remix of let the music play was godlike!!!!
Forever a legend. This makes me want to cry
I'm glad Roy Davis Jr. is still DJing. I think of him as a music producer first and a DJ second. He's a little rough on the transitions, but I've always enjoyed his hard or soulful track choices. I remember hearing him often at Stompy parties in San Francisco.
You hit it on the head hes a producer first one of the original who still has that old school sexy chicago feel
Love that brotha in the front in black gettin' it. True House Heads go hard, can't just stand around listening to the DJ killin' it.
nice set...happy to see people dancing and enjoying themselves..most boiler room sets i see have the lamest audience..this is how they all should look like ...or more turnt up..the crowd is actually alive here.

Dwayne Falls Police - Roxanne (Master Kev & Tony Loreto MKTL Remix)
Love the set brother, especially how you worked your magic on the Bobby Womack's classic 'Woman's Gotta Have It' - 15:50 - 22:10, wicked!! You killed it man.
+Corey Dawkins, I agree! "That Woman's Gotta Have It" is the classic example of a TRUE house artist such as Roy making magic "House" songs out of things you would never expect.
GENIALE...E MOLTO CULTURALE

11:05 is straight deep down chicago shit...dude Roy Davis representing Chinatown. SIGHTS AND SOUNDS THAT SIZZLE !!!
For all of you that are commenting on saying that the MC is ......... First of all, That's Russoul. He's a vocalist and not a MC. He's done countless work with Mark Grant, Gene Farris and Cajmere just to name a few. He's very talented and has a beautiful voice. Think before you speak.
+Nitram745 It doesnt matter who the fuck he is, he sounds like shit & eating the mic. Maybe if he knew the basics of mic control, he would be singing on more then underground house music?
+Ramon Farahani fuck off
+Dance & Chill 52 likes,really making moves aint ya?
+Nitram745 are you sure Russoul isn't high/drunk? Ghastly performance.
I totally agree with you. What I heard was pretty amazing. That dude has some pipes on him!

@13:10& 13:46 as a DJ myself, I hate it when dudes come up to you wanting to talk. I'm working here! BTW, a little snip of Disco Circus? Get it, Roy!
Dude, thats Glenn Crocker ahah,
Track at 49 please.
The whole crowd at Boiler Room parties look like a loada groupies and clingers. You rarely get a full room getting really into it. Too many self-conscious posers
+Lionel Badrock glasgow. (minus the pork-pie hat arsehole on the mic)
What is the last track? dope track!
