Any reason why you no longer 'take it to the streets". On this episode, it would have been nice to know how much some people spent on their weddings. Great show as always
It is well. It would have been nice to also speak to people at the other end of the spectrum of the Nigerian economy. This discussion just focused on the super mega loaded folks….😊
See as una dey call millions 🙆♀️🙆♀️🙌🙌🇳🇬 You see eheee, You can have YOUR OWN BEAUTIFUL WEDDING in your BUDGET. Everyone want a 'DREAM WEDDING' but if you can't afford it, please do what you can afford. I know a young couple that got married last year with N500,000. They're happily married now. Instead of focusing on Instagram kinda weddings or you 'keeing us' with your wedding pictures, please focus on having a great marriage. I remember Fela Durotoye (not sure if I spelled his last name correctly...lol) saying they only got married in the court house BECAUSE that's all they could afford! They are LIVING their best lives together. My husband and I got married with less than 20 friends and family members in attendance and it was beautiful. Over ten years in ooooo and we no spend 1 million 🤷♀️. My point is, no go BROKE because of wedding. People wey you wan pepper no send you ooooo.
The main thing is for those who can’t afford certain luxury to stick to their pocket simple. I remember my husband and I still pricing land to purchase during our trad wedding prep, while friends or should I say acquittance who I knew their financial capacity (not trying to compare though) would have focused on spending all they don’t have, lol. Self awareness, contentment etc is a virtue that’s underrated.👌🏾
Beautiful discussion ☺️ I love small intimate wedding with class 💋 Strictly by invitation is the best Just do u, follow ur budget, don't kill urself If there isn't a lot of money,Wedding anniversary can be your dream wedding No stress, no pressure Remember there is life after wedding, plan well for it too
Wow, 10 years in the game and she's one of the best in the industry hands down. Congrats to Bisola Trendy Bee on 10 years in Event Planning. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂
Bisola pick the younger youths that are just coming up in terms of finances n are looking forward to their marriage n youths that are also newly married 🥰🥰🥰🥰 it will be great to hear from them 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
This entire conversation was about the wedding ceremony and not marriage, which is life after the ceremony. That's where the work is. Weddings in Nigeria are very big and expensive because parents often hijack all of it for their show-off and pepperdemgang. I don't think I've seen a small wedding in Nigeria, especially in Lagos, it's almost nonexistent. Once again, thank you Bisola and panel for a beautiful discussion.
Lovely episode. I guess Mimi and I share something,if I would pick a destination for my wedding, it's definitely ITALY. I'm Catholic so having the wedding in the Vatican, then reception in Milan ( of course all outfits will be from Milan as it is a fashion powerhouse) then first honeymoon in Venice. We can go to any of the Islands for the second honeymoon, please I'm a guy but I love me a destination wedding.
This episode gave me an insight on how much some of these things cost, cuz I've always wondered their prices. Thank you all for sharing. Another Great Episode.
Nice talk but you guys are actually making me feel bad cos I used 2.3million in 2019, had my reception at an open primary school field and it was still beautiful....you should have people of our low class too on the show so they could share their own experience and take on this Nigeria wedding topic.. you're doing well Bisola keep it up.
Huge respect to you beloved Bisola. I enjoy watching your interviews and presentations. You are awesome, richly entertaining and highly intellectual. Keep up the good work 👏
I would have preferred a 4th guest- a married woman so we can get a whole perspective on the wedding planning process. I also think if you can afford it, you can be EXTRA with your wedding party. Just know your capacity and get the best of experience.
I like listening to anything that are attach to love/relationship/marriage. With this big big madam n da boss as the guest you wanna scare those of us that are not rich but still want to do a marriage
Omooo, this Bisola events planner knows her onions mehn!!!😁🔥🔥🔥🔥 Such a beautiful and fun conversation. Thank you, Bisola Aiyeola, Femi, Mimi and Bisola.😊♥️
At this point, all I can say is 'God Abeg oh', I want my guests and I to have so much fun on my wedding day 😌❤️. I recently attended a wedding, and my mind was blown. Like, the event planner said, you don't have to break a bank, it can be affordable and still be fun 😁❤️❤️. It's the FUN for me 😩❤️, make everybody just gather and have the best time 🥺❤️.
They are talking about the high end earners in Nigeria and they are entitled to spend their money the way they want it but if you know that you are the regular nigerian who earns less than 200,000 or a little bit above then you need to respect yourself and work according to your budget. You cannot earn 200,000 and be looking for 2 million naira wedding hence it's always good to know your capacity and stick with it. I love the final talk from the guy thus," Make sure to put in much work into the marriage like you do as regards the wedding.
10 million for a wedding? That means only the rich can afford weddings these days. Crazy things are happening in Nigeria. Well, I'm glad I've passed that level of craving for a wedding in Nigeria. It's not worth it.
Lol with the economy now things are wayyy more expensive, I plan to make a video talking about how I beat prices during my wedding. It would definitely help someone out there
I have never paid above 30k for asoebi because I always buy about 2-3 yards max. I am a size 8 and I loathe flamboyant styles, so I just buy enough and make a simple, rewearable style. Learnt this particular thing from Smart Money Woman. The planner obviously caters to the higher side of budgets so I understand these figures she is calling.
As a Professional Wedding Planner, Guest Count determines your entire wedding budget. The quality - elements and aesthetics of the wedding, the priorities of the couple is also a determinant. I like the inputs of Bisola the Host, Bisola the Event Planner, Mimi and Femi Soro.
I think we have a wasteful culture in Nigeria. Why would we want to owe to have a big wedding? There's life after the wedding day, people need to focus on the marriage
As nice as it sounds, all these fancy weddings being talked about here don't reflect the reality of most Nigerians. It's strictly for the few 1% or those borrowing to impress.
Pls invite those low class marriage too, I remember those times back in 2008, 2009 where I do see people doing wedding on the street under the canopies, some are a school field no need so much money to rent a big hall n co I don't know if Nigeria still do that if yes, pls bring people like that lets budget from there experience too. Thank you
20million to 100million? Did I hear right? Hian! Sire sey we go do wedding like this...why not exchange vows in a room, reception in your compound and sleep
Soro said his wedding was small but had 300-400 guests 😂😂😂 Plix sirs if it’s not small, dakun baba oko mi how many people he for be 😂 We had about 800 guest during mine sha 😂
My sister! I did not have more then 25 people. Most of the 25 sef, I did not know them. I only knew 8 people who were my family. Left to only me it would be just my husband and I
At 100million naira...they must never argue not to dream of divorce:) The wedding in the epic movie "Father of the bride" was in the yard.. I don't get it.
We alway copied wrong as Nigerian. The western that brought the idea of church wedding and reception do it with miminium spending and quests but our has become crazy .Why will corruption not be become part of our life if wedding cost 20-100millions.
The fact that we even do two weddings is what kills me with laughter. A traditional and church wedding and the only recognised one is court o (which Is the cheapest)
At a wedding or a HIGH CLASS WEDDING. People of God Its not always like this o. Unless you are in the 5% that is freaking rich. Marry your spouse according to you purse o.

It is well. It would have been nice to also speak to people at the other end of the spectrum of the Nigerian economy. This discussion just focused on the super mega loaded folks….😊

You are smart. I was going to say that too.

Like you said, the conversation was about weddings. Not that marriage isn’t valid, but it’s a different conversation.
20 - 100 million for a wedding!? 😮 wuna dey try for that Lagos
My final words: people should think more marriage & less wedding
The lady in green is so beautiful 💐
Lovely episode as usual. Well-done Bisola and the entire NdaniTv crew

Omo Nigerian weddings are really expensive no matter how much
This is my field, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Bisola my bosslady! Keep soaring 💖
Expensive wedding does not guarantee a successful marriage. Each should do what works for them within their budget.
At this point, all I can say is 'God Abeg oh', I want my guests and I to have so much fun on my wedding day 😌❤️.
