I absolutely love Victor Garber and had no idea that he was gay lol, goes to show how sexuality doesn't have to define your level of success, especially being as talented as he is. I did know about Luke Evans and his choice not to let his sexuality define his acting career is to be respected, those things are actually separate, art doesn't always have to imitate life. Love "Dracula Untold", great movie 🙂👌
Luke Evans deserves the final spot (assuming we're counting down to #1) but, while Colton Haynes roles are less visible these day (he worked in the same DC Universe as Wenworth Miller & Victor Garber, he is not only another out 'n proud actor but also the only one I have fallen in love with on screen. (Not admiration-love like we should all have for Ian McKellen, but 'dear-god-I-want-you-so-bad' infatuation.) I hope that this comment serves to add him as honourable mention. And since I've added Colton Haynes, I should also add Luke McFarlane (best known for the TV series 'Killjoys' and 'Bros'). His omission was expected since he is primarily a Canadian talent, and I'm not sure if his shows air internationally, but look him up. He defines 'dreamboat'. Nice to see a 10 minute video again Eduard I know they take more work, but they are always enjoyable. (Even if you missed my personal hearthrobs)
Jonathan Groff (king george from Hamilton, Kristoff's voice in Frozen) played a lot of straight characters in movies,tv series (Mindhunter for instance) and on Broadway, check out Spring awakening, his big break,it is a fantastic musical. He also equally played gay characters in all the different medias in meaningful projects, likeThe normal heart or Looking, and a variety of plays. He came out at the beginning of his career basically, and it was 2009,very different time from today....Excellent actor and singer
@@stephlefort355 omggg yea him declining an invitation to attend the Saint Petersburg International Film Festival because he felt "deeply troubled" by the Russian government's treatment of its gay citizens is such a power move ❤️
I'd just point out that we're talking about gay actors whose sexuality is known to us. I still stand for placing acting abilities over sexuality when it comes to actors.
Intereting spin. Enjoyed it. You mentioned running low on movies to watch for Reactions? I’d be curious to see your take on 1985’s , “Just One of the Guys” or 1996’s “Natural Enemy”. Thanks for all you do
@@quequitoAR My sexuality was never a question during the audition process: only whether I was suitable for the role. I've played bad guys, male leads in musicals - even Tony in West Side Story.
@@The_Black_Caps Indeed. I had actresses complain that I "make my leading ladies fall in love with me so the show will work." Sometimes actresses got bit swept up in the fantasy.
Since you mentioned Science fiction movie starship troopers, is there any movies that you know that has characters that are gay? The only one I can think of is Star Trek's Hikaru Sulu from the 2000 versions. Also in a horror category I know that they had one in the "Cursed"
🤔 Wow, this is unusual. Gay actors playing straight people. Since its usually always the other way around. Straight actors playing gay roles !. Maybe there is some hope yet, just will not be in my life time..😢
Hy thanks for top gay. Beauty man. And you? I'm itanian gay. ❤ I know the famous man, actor and model. It's not news. Ok. Thanks so much. I love Matt ❤
Gay actors have been playing straight roles for centuries, if not millenia.
they have experience from faking straight life

And is now back on Broadway in the mega-hit "Merrily We Roll Along."
Amen! 🙂
⭐⭐⭐⭐ The 3 hunks that are still relevant in the industry are Ricky Martin, Luke Evans, Matt Bomer!!!
So the others are irrelevant? That's a douchey thing to say. "You're irrelevant now. Goodbye."
Matt bomer and Jonathan bailey are literally gifts to the gay community 😭
They are gifts to humanity!!!😍
@@Tawroset oh yeah absolutely 💯
Wentworth Miller!!!!!

Rock Hudson and Tab Hunter in EVERYTHING they appeared in.

Victor Garber in "Sleepless""----YES!!!!!!!!! Finally someone talented, smart and HOT!!!!!!

This video was absolutely fantastic. You really outdid yourself. So many clips and interesting points. Thanks Eduard 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! And thank you so much for watching my stuff!
Thank you for the video. It was a well thought out video. Thank you for the effort in creating the video.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching my videos!
I knew about Ricky Martin before he came out. I argued with a coworker until he officially came out. 🤪
Ricky didn't ping my 'dar at all. I thought he was straight. But then I also thought Snoopy was real.
I'm a gay actor. I spent my entire career on stage playing straight characters. I only played two gay characters.
Precisely the point! Sexuality is not to define you as an actor; your acting ability is. Thanks for your valuable testimony!

Wow
Gay actors can nail both straight and gay romances so beautifully

Can we all just take a reverent moment to appreciate the utter perfection that is Matt Bomer??😍

I've been thinking about a video about gay characters in predominantly straight shows or movies... I'll see what I can come up with
The Frasier tv show had four or more gay actors. They played their parts very well.
I ADORE Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, and Andrew Scott!!
Thom Bierdz was another soap actor that kept it under wraps in the 80s but is now out. He's an artist now and not so much an actor anymore.
I know another soap actor who kept it under wraps. That was his choice and I would never out him.
Among Victor Garber's Broadway roles was Anthony in the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd.
Um, Cary Grant in all his roles?
oh and there are a lot of actors who have played killers
🤔 Wow, this is unusual. Gay actors playing straight people. Since its usually always the other way around. Straight actors playing gay roles !. Maybe there is some hope yet, just will not be in my life time..😢
Mike Myers is Wayne Campbell and Charlie Mackenzie and Austin Powers and Shrek
Fun thing is that I used to feel guilty of enjoying with ANY gay scene when I was a little devil

Great video. However, they are actors, and their job is to portray a character no matter how they live everyday life.
only 10? you mean out gay actors
No wonder
