Thanks for comment tony-I've got mine apart now/took the top cover off along with hydraulic pump/ and ram piston out/gone through pump so far seemed fine/ replaced all o-rings though/noticed all 3 piston rings we're perfectly aligned (ram piston) which was not helping anything/there are some other lever-linkage adjustments to make as well picked a manual up at tractor supply which has helped a lot so far/ will let you know if I ever fix it...
The Check valves in piston pump hold the load from leaking back. O ring on standpipe between pump and top cover can leak. Rings on piston can be leaking down. Relief valve can have dirt or broken spring. Not much else left. Check six valve s on cover also. If all else fails put 30wt oil in for a test and see if it leaks down as fast.
Tony- I suggest taking the right hand circular inspection cover off and actuate pump lever with tractor running-if the lift won't drop but will lift- it is not a pump issue/ it's possible that the roller has popped out/if this happens the pump will go to full lift- and the lever that normally pushes on it to dump lift will not make contact/just a thought- hope this helps
Thanks for comment Simon- yes it does have a bit of water- this is actually 5 gallons of new fluid I just put in after draining all fluid through both plugs/ in hindsight should of filled with deisel and flushed through a minute or so-hope you don't make same mistake
Use type 90 thick hydraulic oil never use thinner and or synthetic otherwise your are going to wear out crucial components also ruinning the pump in the process!
You could have the pump out and back in two hours. On a 35 its fairly easy ( not 135 ) drop the oil take off the two bolts holding the plate on top of the hyd cover - remove the stand pipe. take off the right hand side cover were the dip stick is. remove the linkage pins from the lift arms remove the bolts from the top cover lift off the top cover make sure nothing gets stuck viewing through the right side cover. remove the shear tube by removing the split pin and sliding the sleeve back. remove the bolts from around the pto pull the pto back until it come out. at the bottom of the hydraulic case left and right are two nuts holding a small oval shaped plate remove these and remove the plates these have dowels holding the pump in place. the pump should be able to come out through the top now. I don't think I have forgot anything but it is 40 years since I had one out. I could change a pump in two hours but I did nothing else for 15 years but work on these. good luck
I understand but do not find myself in Romania than STOU 10W-30, 20W-30 or T90, T75. It is only to be used for hydraulic and transmission simultaneously. I was thinking maybe I have one of the above specifications. Thank you.
Looks like your hydraulic fluid has water in it. That can't help. In fact I found this video as I'm looking to familiarise myself with what I'll be looking at when I replace my fluid - as it has water in it...
Easy to remove - change pump control valve - pump valves and all O rings - if anything is broken replace it -oil is bad but they will run on mayo and gravel - water enters when the gearstick rubber is fukd - pump is held in with 2x oval dowel plates in the side of the gearbox and 2x splined couplings on the input and output shafts - beware roller on control valve arm from top cover ------------------------ good luck -------------- Rowser.

I know I am definitely late by 5 years but I would reckon that the oil need to be changed since it appears to be half water

I got a massey ferguson 365 and problem is that the pto and the rear arms linkage wont go up and down please
me and my dad are tiding up our massey 35 dose anyone have any tip on how to clean out were the hydrolic pump is
Hey secil- I cleaned mine with diesel fuel in a pump sprayer - seemed to work fine for me- good luck!!
No, but I know how to spell 'does'.
You could have the pump out and back in two hours.
On a 35 its fairly easy ( not 135 )
drop the oil
take off the two bolts holding the plate on top of the hyd cover - remove the stand pipe.
take off the right hand side cover were the dip stick is.
remove the linkage pins from the lift arms
remove the bolts from the top cover
lift off the top cover make sure nothing gets stuck viewing through the right side cover.
remove the shear tube by removing the split pin and sliding the sleeve back.
remove the bolts from around the pto pull the pto back until it come out.
at the bottom of the hydraulic case left and right are two nuts holding a small oval shaped plate remove these and remove the plates these have dowels holding the pump in place.
the pump should be able to come out through the top now.
I don't think I have forgot anything but it is 40 years since I had one out.
I could change a pump in two hours but I did nothing else for 15 years but work on these.
good luck
A lot of water. Change the filter too.
Sorca - I used 10 gallons of tractor hydraulic & transmission oil from super tech brand purchased at Wallmart ... Works fine for mine
