Strijderr! I'm looking for opinions on the E07 tires. I've just got a Tenere, which I'll be using for year-round commuting, but I also want to start doing frequent weekend trips to get more off-road and adventure experience. I'm still a beginner and need a tire that offers a good balance. I've been considering the Mitas E07 and the Dunlop Trailmax Raid since they seem to provide a good mix of safe commuting (especially in the rainy Netherlands) with decent mileage and off-road performance. Any suggestions or thoughts on these options? Or maybe a whole different tire?
Hey bro! I can't speak for the Dunlop TMR, yet. I'm actually considering them as my next set of tires. But they are more expensive then the Mitas E07, which are holding up pretty good so far, given my pretty aggressive riding style. I like to slide, slip, spin and skid a lot, haha. I can compare them to other 50/50 tires which I did ride, Michelin Anakee Wild and Bridgestone AX41. - The Mitas seem to me to be the hardest compound - The Michelin AKW are super grippy offroad but more slippery onroad, especially in wet. Also in my experience they rumble more. - The Bridgestone AX41's are the most quiet of them all on-road and a very solid offroad tire. Though not as confidence inspiring as the Anakee's. Also keep in mind, I have heaps more experience now then when I first started riding offroad. When I was putting 8000km on the Michelin I wasn't adapting tyre pressure.. i didn't know yet, haha. Sidenote: I ordered my Mitas on bandenleader and they shipped a DOT 2022, so keep an eye on that when ordering tires yourself.
