Annie, you’re glowing! Mum of an 18 year old girl here, so I’m just reminiscing on what it’s like to be a Mum to a little baby girl, I remember the sleep deprivation well! Enjoy every precious moment, it’s not a cliche to say it goes by so quickly. Sending love from the UK ❤️

A tip I used with my babies is I'd put a warm rice sack in their crib to warm it up then take the rice sack out when you put baby in. It is less shocking going from warm snuggly mom to cold empty crib. Also, wear her swaddle against your skin for an hour or two (just tuck it under your shirt) so it smells like you.

I was wondering the same! I hope he’s helping 50%! As it should be lol
Hope he doesn't just help but does his part as a father.
Also does he work during the week? I mean away from home? Because my husband was very involved but I was extremely lonely and desperate with my high needs baby during the week because he was gone from 8 to 7 5 days a week. It was soooo damn hard.
You look even more beautiful being a mom. MashAllah. Can you share how you stay so stable and grounded having so much to do ?
It depends a lot on the baby you have. Annie's baby seems to be pretty chill (from what I can tell and the fact she seems to be able to get stuff done) so that helps a lot. My first baby almost never napped and cried a lot - and I could never put her down. So if in one day I managed to unload the dishwasher it was a huge win. Calm babies who nap well and don't cry much (and who let you put them down) allow you to do a lot in the newborn stage.
My baby never sleps from around 17pm, she is awake till 19:30. Then we do the bath, food and she is sleeping all night till 6:30am - 7am. Which is great. Consistent routine is everything! I swear ❤

That's exactly how I slowly transitioned our baby girl to her crib. We started with that last "night" wake up and had her sleep there from 5am to 7am. And then just slowly bumped it up and increases crib time until she was in the crib all night. I'm glad you're getting some more sleep! Baths were so good for us as well in really setting the tone for bed time. Our girl loves bath time now and finds it so relaxing.

Hopefully everything’s ok and he’s being helpful and hands on. You say “my baby” a lot instead of “our baby” so I got worried!!! Sending best wishes ❤
I don't have kids and I'm not 100% sure if I want kids, but these tips are amazing Annie. I really like how you allow her to nap during the day but you keep her room bright so she knows the difference. Such a great tip.
My baby boy is just one day older than Nalia. We have also established a good sleeping routine (9pm-9:30/10am, 3-4 feeds at night; he sleeps next to me so I just roll over to breastfeed him😁). My tips: taking a good melatonin supplement in the evening. Usually breastmilk contains melatonin for the evening feeds but it’s always good to be sufficient in melatonin. 2. tip: using a dimmed red light, which also stimulates melatonin production in the baby and yourself.
Oh this brings me back. I always said I was so depressed when I first had my son because I was so sleep deprived. I remember telling people it's like going to a party staying out all night and getting excited to get home and go to sleep in your cosy bed, only to be told you have to go out and party all night long again and again and again...without ever getting a moment to rest. 😅🤣

Amazing tips! Your little girl is so beautiful! ❤ just a little tip from me: my girl slept perfectly until she turned 3/4 month. She wanted to sleep in a more dark and quiet room. It definitly helped with her sleep Regression.

I have my baby boy that just turned 7 months! You're doing all the right things! My little was also not the greatest day sleeper. He loved cat naps! At 4 month mark, he would wake up screaming and crying due to separation anxiety. It all gets more exciting!!! Congratulations! She's beautiful 💕

Correct if I'm wrong, it's been 5 years since I nursed my youngest. But I was always to feed on one side each feeding. There are 2 stages in breast milk: 1, a more watery milk in the beginning. 2, the longer the baby nurses, the milk starts to get thicker and fattier.

You’re doing amazing. Some things I found helpful (even now with a 3 & 1yo) is to try and do a lot of the housework while they’re up so when they nap you can have a moment. Finding mum friends with kids the same age was a game changer too for myself and our kids now love each other and have known each other since they were a few weeks old. In Aus they have mothers groups but maybe there’s something similar?

You are just vibrant, and motherhood looks amazing on you ❤!! Just a heads-up that many babies go through a pretty brutal "4-month sleep regression". Back when I had my first, no one told us about it, so it was tough when my amazing sleeper suddenly turned into the opposite. Every baby is different so obviously this will hopefully not be the case for your babe 🙏, but just wanted to mention it because I wish someone had told me about it beforehand. I freaked out thinking something was wrong with her or that I was doing something wrong and it really brought me to a low point 😔, until I joined a moms group where so many of the moms were going through the same thing. Would have been nice to prepare myself a bit and have known about this!! Sending best wishes for smooth sleep 💫!!

@@surlespasdondine Oh man, that sounds brutal. But on the other hand, at least you knew what to expect from day 1. We, being new parents, had NO idea things would change so suddenly. We had this "amazing" sleeper basically since she was born, and were wondering what all this fuss about sleep issues that our friends were talking about. Then, at 4 months, it changed from day to night - which was also brutal and such a rude awakening 😆😆!! Our friends were like - that's karma for all the good newborn sleep you got 😉😉 !! It was tough at first but then we basically resigned ourself to the fact that sleep was not something that would be a big part of our lives for a while, and that was kind of cathartic 😆. At about 1.5-2 years old, we were finally able to sleep again 😆.

Thank you for great realistic and still positivite video 🤗 try to sleep as much during 2-4months before 4-6m sleep regressions start to hit. Then it gets harder again for a while. Right now enjoying my 1 year old that sleeps 12hours a night (wakes 2times) and also one big after lunch nap :) It gets easier!

I put my baby in the stroller walking around the house doing laundry, bathroom, cooking so he can be next to me and I don’t have to put him on the floor
