I feel so, so bad for Hunter. This is a literal child, and yet he’s a coven head, Belos’s right hand, and in charge of so much. No wonder he looks like he hasn’t slept in years. He’s been manipulated and abused by the man he calls “uncle,” and taught that anything different or “wild” is wrong. It’s clear that Belos isn’t above hurting Hunter as punishment. This kid is a nerd who likes learning about wild magic, and I think he would be a really sweet and kind person if given the chance. One line of his really stuck out to me, when he and Luz were discussing the future. He said something along the lines of “at least you get to decide it for yourself.” He has been forced into this role, and he doesn’t know any better. He’s 16, and has been through so much.

My theory is that Hunter is a half witch. His ancestor was the human that was originally on the boiling isles and half witches can't preform magic.

Hunter did say that he comes from a line of powerless witches so I think being a descendant of the human theory makes a hit more sense. I’m currently obsessed with the idea that Eda can adopt Hunter like when he joins the rebellion. Hunter can be the wise older brother that gets annoying because of how smart he is, Luz can be the mischievous little sister that bugs her brother so much, Vee can be the twin sister of Luz but is just the chill sister that is the complete opposite of Luz but is still wholesome, and king is the baby brother that is cute with everything he does but can get himself into trouble. And Eda is the mom that is just done with all of them but still loves them unconditionally. And maybe Raine can be the cool mom that helps them with there problems and teaches them music. The chaotic family dynamic we need ASAP.
(I edited this after like 2 months because before I just mentioned Luz, Hunter, King, Eda, and Raine because Vee hasn’t been introduced yet so here is her dynamic with the family😊) Also sorry I didn’t mention Camilla but honestly I like Eda as the mom instead of her but that could be because we have yet to see any mother and daughter scenes with Luz and Camila.

when the golden guards face got revealed i literally gasped, grabbed my phone, ran outside my house, called my friend, and made her listen to me rant about how fine he was for like 30 minutes. i also convinced her to start watching owl house. win, win situation.
Most people would assume that Luz is the younger sister, being quite literally younger by a few years. However, as an older sister, Hunter is definitely the younger one. Like Hunter, they are so salty for absolutely 0 reason and would rather die than compromise.
