As the mother of two boys who grew up playing this game. I am here crying full of memories. One of those kids is going to college for Aerospace Engineering. Thank you for this.
Well, here we are. 11 years after KSP came out and 2 months before KSP2, someone finally "beat" the game. This is legitimately the best KSP cinematic I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant. The cinematography and music choice are absolutely spot on. I really want to know how you got the shot at the end with the Kerbal planting the flag in so many locations, that shot was especially brilliant!
Makes me cry in happiness not only for KSP, but for what may come outside of the screen. I'm going to become an aerospace engineer, and I envy where we will go.
It's hard to articulate what incredible thing you've done here is. Ksp is always the "funny game with space frogs" but as a 10 year veteran it's far more than that, it's the emotion of pioneering exploration that makes it such an incredible game. Thank you so much for making this.
and thank you for the kind comment, i've also played KSP for many years and the sense of exploration you get from it is special in a way that few other games can emulate
That just left chills down my spine, AND you created a true spiritual successor to the Build Fly Dream trailer that pulled so many of us in way back at the start. Great job.
When I built the Paraterraforming mod 6 months ago, I had no clue that people would be using it in large projects and actually enjoying it. Thank you for making something with it, and thank you for the stunning cinematic.
Honestly, one of the most beautiful KSP videos I've ever seen. Starts off slow and tranquil and builds to an incredible finish. Exceptionally well done! There's so many fantastic shots - View from the Cupola, Sarnus approach, Skylon takeoff, massive shipyards, the Space 1999 looking lander. It's just amazing.
jesus man, you made me think back to when i was first playing the game like 2014-ish. damn good memory's. amazing cinematic, probably one of the best ones ever
Wow, this is amazing! The shots are absolutely stunning, and it's clear that a lot of effort and creativity went into making it. Thank you for making this video, it's definitely one that I'll be watching again and again. Keep up the amazing work!
This is the coolest cinematic I have ever seen, I loved every single second of it. I hope you continue making these and I hope one day I can be as good as you. Amazing work!
One of if not the most beautiful KSP videos (and space videos in general) I've ever seen. These kinds of videos inspire hope not just for KSP, but for real life-to make what you've shown here a reality. That's a special kind of talent. Thank you.
thank you, glad to hear that because the reason i came up with this in the first place was me realizing that the music would be perfect for a cinematic montage
I love how the comment section is all futur engineers haha. This game gave motivation to so many people and to myself. Thank you for the video i love it
This is incredible! This is what I aspire my videos to be. Amazing cinematography, and such diversity. I also love M83 so the music choice is just perfect.
I was blown away by your videos, thank you for sharing! I love your work, you assemble beautiful images and back it with a soundtrack that enhances the visuals without getting in the way. People like you make UA-cam my goto place for beauty and inspiration.
2:06 Sweet! Kerbals managed to get the Enterprise to a fully functional orbiter! Fantastic visuals and having goose bumps with a smile on my face. Thank You!
wow seeing SEP's Starship lifting off into the sunrise signifying a new beginning for space travel and the music changing because of that is my favorite part 3:09 AMAZING work man
Something about this song and the fact that even years after the first rocket went to space, it feels peaceful, adventurous, and fascinating. Despite all the stuff going on in the world, space exploration has not stopped advancing and those involved have a common ground to explore the stars.
this game singlehandedly changed my life. i learned so much, sparked my imagination. genuinely felt emotional watching this. because i got the same child-like wonder and hope i used to have. that one day, we will reach the stars. though maybe not within my lifetime. which is quite sad. but i hope my children will. it's been a year since you posted this, but i hope you see this
From basic sputnik to far-future interstellar mothership. A great future coming for Kerbal. Depend on how far you push the program. KSP is one of the greatest game I have played in my life, and I can't wait for KSP2!
For someone who laterally got into KSP a month ago, this gives me so much emotion, and even the memories of my first orbit, and my first proper mission. This person made me feel for space objects, that's absolutely amazing.
As a KSP player for nearly 4 years now, *Never Stop Exploring.* From the craters of the Mun to the islands of Laythe, the feeling of awe and wonder that comes from the first flyby to the first landing will never go away and be with you as you explore the great beyond.
This is one of the best KSP cinematics ive ever seen, up there with Entropians KSP 1 sendoff video and the KSP 2 trailer itself. Great editing and amazing builds! Criminally underrated.
What an amazing cinematic! There was a lot of work and the result is absolutely magnificent. I hope the future of space exploration will be like the end of your video and that humanity will not lose this taste for exploration! Good job!
I was at my lowestpoint in life when i started playing ksp, the satisfaction i found when i first landed on mun made me realise my passion, today im working in leading fighter jet projectes for my country. Thank you ksp❤
choosing this song definitely was the right idea haha, this video only exists because i was listening to it one day and thought it'd make for a great music video
The use of past, current and potentially future spacecraft as well as concepts is really well done. Your video actually gave me a sense of hope for the future which, lately, has been tough to do. Thank you.
This is a late comment, but anyways.. This cinematic is by far the best KSP cinematic created independently of the actual creators of the games i’ve ever seen. Every shot shown in this video is incredible (would probably take me twice as long to get.. or longer), The shot that i find the most incredible (and/or awesome *and/or* dynamic) is the one at 4:14. Other shots (or multiple) that really stunned me is the continuous shot between 4:40 through 4:43, 4:50 through 4:53, and the final shot at 5:29 through 5:32. Generally speaking, this is just plain awesome! Amazing job, Yukon!
thank you so much! it makes me really happy to see that you like those moments specifically, makes the time i spent getting those right really worth it
@@yukon09The amount of effort is clearly seen in your stuff, Stock or modded. I would personally say that you have some of the best modded builds and stock builds of any player, which is just really cool. (Again, in my eyes.)
For all those space loving people here - when we look up to the stars, we see a small dot of light and still its the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed. The things we are going to see are marvellous. Love you all
This is beautiful, you know something is good when it gives you a feeling of helplessness, when it makes you feel like space is just out of your grasp due to the confines of gravity, when you dream of going to space, orbiting the earth, walking on mars or the moon, seeing Jupiter and its stripes or Saturn and it’s rings, when you aspire of being one to explore the cosmos Well done on this cinematic masterpiece
I loved it so much. Honestly this video deserves a lot more views than it has! It was so well made! This is the only one of your videos that I've seen but here, take my sub! You've earned it with this video
This is a beautiful work of art. Passing the too-many-thousands of ksp hours mark, I'm soooo intrigued by the concept of using KSP as a scene generation tool for story telling, as you've done expertly here. I can't imagine how much work went into these 6-ish sublime minutes, but every detail here looks wonderful. Congrats on not only putting the whole thing together, but actually putting a bow on it and rendering it for that final time. That must have been a moment!
yes you're very right, that's how i felt after finally finishing up editing (along with a ton of relief haha) and you put that feeling into words very well credit must be given for people like nassault for showing that ksp could be used for this kind of thing in the first place it did take a lot of effort, glad you liked it!
I’m so appreciative of this game, it allowed me to further my interests in space exploration when I was a mere 8 or 9 years old. Now I’m graduating from high school and going into mechanical engineering because of this game. Thank you KSP!
We live on a world with explorers who have seen Space - and others who will soon go also. And we striding upon our narrow world, in our petty minds, believing that we who have done nothing, are great.
