Bubba Dump isn't done in the shop yet; next up, back up cameras!
#backupcamera
#bubbadump

#shopwork
Just to let you know, I love these shop videos. I'm sure others do also. Don't ever feel you have to always push dirt. We love that too. You and Aaron are a real entertainment package. Looking forward to the next episode of "As the Dirt Turns". LOL.
He probably feels the need to push dirt because pushing dirt brings in money and shop time sends it out.
@@BrianFullerton as long as we are watching, shop videos give the best bottom line: No wear and tear on the equipment, no fuel burnt, still making money on UA-cam.
Its just that his pole saw project was milked out to the point of me falling asleep during two of the videos...
@@Sjanzothat is fair!
I love the shop videos too.
@@SjanzoAt what point did you fall asleep? Some parts of the videos are redundant, but there is a "fast forward" feature to get you past these parts.
Great upgrade for Bubba!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
The back and forth with you two guys is hilarious. One of the best things about Dirt Perfect.
Seems like it’s that way no matter who an unnamed person works with lol
You two helped make my day.
April 3 here. Just saw the results of a big storm that passed your way. Hope everyone is ok and not affected.
When the "Work Wife" speaks, you LISTEN !!! 😂👍🎯
The chop saw came out? I haven't seen that used in forever!
thought you were going to move that air compressor outside, its getting in the way-take care
It's nice to see an abundance of caution using three cameras instead of installing just one..
Looks to me the camera boxes have made it a little wider for permits sake!! LOL
I was on team Aaron with the candy cane pole saw, but not with his bright yellow paint. On camera that paint of his looks closer to the green on your DP shirt than it does a real yellow.
On your chop saw buy a steel blade
You should figure a way to have three monitors (they are never big enough). AND you are right to keep Aaron away from the paint choices. He is a phenomenal welder but his paint matching skills... not so much 😁
The next one should be a doozie.
You need electric mirrors
All the times the camera doesn’t record do you think about how you were just talking to yourself?
Good job.
Getting rid of blind spots and making alignment precise while backing around heavy equipment is always a sound idea!! Great job installing the cameras so that they should survive the work day. Ray
Keeps your people from getting squished maybe
I know a black top owner.
I kept asking people how come he doesn't drive truck? Somebody said cause he squished somebody at one time and has never drove since
Joke for comment:
I went to a magic show in Mexico.
The magician said "uno, dos", and then vanished without a tres! 😸
I don’t know if anyone has said this before but between you two guys, it doesn’t matter how crappy of a day I’ve had, you two put a smile on my face from ear to ear. You couldn’t script this stuff if you tried! Keep up the great work!!
You are 100% right. Right now I work alone. But when I did work on a crew with other people the comments the cut downs the jokes picking on each other was always the best part.
The way you two banter with each other, you sound like an old married couple. The way Aaron conned you into putting the cameras on bubba dump seemed too easy for him, how long has he been pressuring or pestering you?😊 Great work guys keep it up.
as much as Aaron wants to believe he was the one that made that choice, im sure DP was putting little bugs in his ear for a little while so Aaron would eventually think it was his idea!! LOL
@@warrenmichael918 a little bug like leaving the box of cameras where Aaron could see it? Never know DP can be devious lol.
@@robdeaton9910 exactly like that , or even saying that since they are selling Lt Dan, the cameras that were going on would have worked out nice to see better. Then not even mentioning Bubba Dump so Aaron gets the idea all by himself! LOL
@@warrenmichael918 okay Warren you are sounding like a conspiracy person, thinking that DP would deliberately redirect tools for Lt. Dan to another project geez that could be stretching it. LMAO I know for a fact since DP announced that Lt. Dan was part of a work program he and his buddy were trying to make happen like Mike Rowe. I am all about that, as a guy who went through Tech school for my trade. I know this thread might bring Mike into it. Mean while back at the ranch granny is beating off the Indians. LOL 😆 DP hope this screws with the algorithms.
Yup! Rubbin’ is Dunpin’! Those shields are gonna be absolutely necessary.
Thanks for the giggles guys.
26:00 Gotta agree with Aaron here, having them a bright yellow is more likely to make sure you don't wack em with stuff. Though to play devil's advocate that's the same thinking of most construction equipment being a bright yellow....and it still gets scuffed up and wacked all the time.
Rear Facing Top Camera: You should have left the top of the square tube camera housing long like a baseball cap brim, to keep more loading splash dirt out of the square tube housing. Or a clear piece of plexiglass to stop dirt infiltration.
The happy time is when you post a video and the sad time is when it ends. It’s hilarious to watch you and MBTS. That has to be a great comment generator. Love the channel. Can’t wait to see MBTS using the camera system.
NO❗️⬅️ To any sell of Lt. Dan UNTIL it's finished, and it is used on your channel❗️ 😡 The snowball effect WILL OCCUR in many NOT following anymore. 😡
Mike and Aaron another great update for Bubba, looking good! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
"that's enough nimrod" hilarious banter
The man articulates how articulated Bubba dump is! No April fools joke either
I think the big bracket on the side of the bed you called the "oh crap I turned the truck over mount" is actually to hook up a tailgate where it will open as you dump the bed. 👍
I definitely see the cables breaking before anything else does, but that’s the nature of the game I guess, hopefully breakaway connections may help
Hopefully in conduit, that will save a lot also.
@@Marty54GMC good point
@@Marty54GMC yep, the mud, slop and rocks dont concern me but all the sticks and limbs they haul are gonna try to grab and pull on that wire any place its not tucked away very well. I bet they add some conduit or channel of some sort.
Or just buy wireless cameras.🍻
@@Spitter-ud8jdwhy not use the free ones they already have?
I have maybe 10 favorite UA-cam channels but you guys are by far the most entertaining. The next time you're in Nebraska, stop by and have "The Man Behind the Scenes" can organize my tools.
various people offer completely wireless camera options...........I know what you have was given to you however trying to protect the wires from damage is almost impossible unless you armor plate everything in sched 40 pipe.......... my experience building Deuce & 1/2 brush trucks for the local Fire Dept........otherwise nice build......... oh yeh.........trade in that abrasive chop saw for something with teeth......... 73 MP
Aaron is correct you guys do need a real C.B. radio in your rigs those hand held C.B.'s I cant understand what you guys are saying. And those cameras are the same we are using on our GMC P/U truck they work great and take the weather fine, have no experience with them dropping trees on em.😁
Love the video guy's and dont change anating love it Mike and Aaron .
Mike, you have more dirt on face installing cameras than changing oil
Lol, I thought the same thing! Actually looked like he has a black eye. 😊
Aaron is right, DP was compusating for his warped brain. You need to listen to Aaron more often, and we thank you for the dump truck camera's!!!
I always was amazed at the backing skills of these dump truck operators. That they don't demolish more with these bendy trucks. With these 4 camera's, reversing and clearance of the load is a lot safer. Safety is the name of the game.
Yep, Mike and Aaron, "got to run the 'Wahrs'...". I WOULD suggest putting gussets on the 'top of bed' camera box, as that tower looks a bit like a half driven nail needing a hammering, BUT haven't seen Pt 2 yet, and you guys are pretty sharp. As far as heated seats, isn't that a heated seat switch on the dash? Love you guys as you keep me (us) grinnin' out here in people land!!!!
Mike you two are some type of characters I love watching you guys go back and forth it doesn’t matter what your videos are about I just cannot get enough of them
I would have put thr camera mount on the inside of the bracket next to bed for more protection. Just my 2cents. I enjoy watching the videos. Cheers !
It looks like the view would be blocked more on the inside from the cylinder mount and the end of the bed sticking down.
Never work
Yep yep sureeeee🤔 I am so so sorry to say this but…… nope nada no way the box top camera is going to live ☠️ 😢😢 the sides?? 90% back? 75% survival rate… sticks an brush are going to to be your enemy . 😂😂 but seriously it is a great idea an location spots❤ but honestly? There is not a great safe location for the top box camera 😢 to protect from damage loading…
OHhhhhhhh I know I know!! We put a in bubba dump cab a plastic bowl / with lid!😉 an every time the “” loader operator “” damages the top camera? He hast to deposit $200 in the bowl! AN ( this is the best part ) at the end of the year we take what’s left in the bubba dump bowl and throw a subscriber party 🎊 🥳🎈🎉🍾😂😂😂😂😂😂 lol sorry it’s Monday morning’s an ? It’s replace track adjusters an it’s a “not fun job “ that’s why I am drinking a 3rd cup of coffee watching your videos coz I’m procrastinating on anything I could do but them track adjusters 😂😂😂
Good morning all !!😃😃😃😃
Arron, I sorry to say, but you are banned for life for choosing colors for DP equipment! 🤣🤣 DP, backup cameras are more important than painting BD! Of course, I'm still putting in my bid to exchange out the coupler of the 120 to match the 210!
Hey Mike, Aaron has become one of my absolute favorites on the channel. You guys argue like brothers. I'm so glad you have him as part of the team!!
Aaron is always right!
Mike your going to have to start saying he him they them instead of just guys before someone gets upset…. I think that’s how that works🤷🏼♂️.
I’m joking.
Did you check that dirt free camera mount for the 13'6" height clearance when it has to be transported on a low-boy. (Comment Generated)!!
Great job. Love your videos. I learn a lot right or wrong. You are an excellent role model for DIY'ers ....
Mike it's time bro-man in the 21st century for a blade upgrade on the metal chop saw to a 12" metal cutting Diablo blade from HomeDepot.😎😎👍👍I Guarantee YOU'LL be floored how quick and strait it cuts.💡💡💡💡For ya To keep dirt out of the camera's. Tac 4 screw nuts in the inside corners so you could cover them with plexiglass.
You knew the light was broken 2 years ago and you haven't fixed it?
Hello from the Netherlands.
thanks for the video DP and Aaron 👍.
Kind regards, Hollandduck
Sorry to hear your getting rid of Luitenant Dan. You sank a gob of money into it. Was looking forward to using it. O well.
LT Dan is what made me start watching you. Can’t believe you’re selling it.
Watch the podcast and you understand why DP kind of has Lt Dan up for sale. Truth is I really hope someone steps up and buys it and DP and them can finish it and use to to advertise for what the cause.
When he bought Bubba Dump i knew Lt. Dan would be obsolete on the offroad part. Now he got that Mack with a patched up bed for on-road hauling, i am expecting a bed swap before it gets sold.
@@Sjanzo Watch the podcast. YOu will see why and understand a lot better why he offer LT Dan up for sale. He is not trying to make money. DP wants to finish it but if someone buys LT Dan the money would be going to a great cause. DP is not keeping a penny if LT Dan sells. I personally hope a few company steps up buys Lt Dan have DP, C&C equipment and others Finish it and use it to advertise for where DP put the money from the sale of Lt Dan. Also remember DP said Lt. Dan was a hobby build more for fun then use.
@@johnunsicker7440 i dont watch the desk podcast, i only watch the shop podcast 😄
@@Sjanzo He always said Lt DAN wasnt gonna be a primary use truck, on or off road. It was always just a fun project truck he wanted.
What a way to start the day, DP and MBTS show
Agree, every morning I tune in to watch!
You guys know that digging dirt, taking out trees & working in the shop is addictive, right? So, keep it up. I'm hooked. We always say, "you can't see all three at the same time".
Wait a minute wait wait ,if the cameras are wired how are you going to raise the box
APRIL FOOL'S
They're going for a wireless bed of course!
@@AquaPeet it was obvious what they were doing when he measured for the cables but I couldn't get April fools day out of my head
Letsdig 18 aka Chris will never be able to beat this ideal. lol
An idea man here; so on that top mount camera i was thinking you would put a slight angle down on the tall attachment prior to attaching the camera box. That way its pointing down more to the fill zone vs off in lala land. But i dont know maybe the camera will catch it all?? Just a thought!?!?
DP until this video I did not know that there was a mud flap on bubba dump. MBTS needs a camera on the roller too. Thanks!!!!
I have noticed the mudflap but i didnt realize there was only one! LOL
Lol
MBTS has a lot of good ideas Mr Dirt Perfect
Arons always right about the yellow
Bubba Dump has eyes.
It's just a haul truck he says.....😮
You two had me chuckling this morning, and I really needed a reason to laugh . Your bantering had me in stitches, with that said, thank you.
Well good thing you buy his Mountain Dew to weld not paint lol😂
Great job installing the cameras Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
With the upper camera mount, how tall will the truck be on the lowboy?
Will not change that
That’s going to make it easier for Gunner to back up when he is driving Bubba Dump, also Mike! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good job guys and eyeballs
Good afternoon Mike and Aaron
I’m here for another bout of humorous comedy and knowledge!
What a funny video! Y’all had me laughing! I love yalls friendship!
Did the camera mount make you over height on tranport?
No
Love the fire extinguisher on the wall marked Pepsi
7:15 [SIGH]...Yet again...
And with feeling...
CHILDREN, BEHAVE YOURSELVES!!!
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
As always, future projects means more great content is coming…lol. Great video Mike.
Good Morning Mike and Aaron. I hope you had a nice Easter. Aaron sure loves that yellow paint. God Bless.
Hey Aaron, you do NOT want the Camera Mounts to stick out like a sore thumb...
You WANT them to blend in...
If they're too obvious, you just know he'll use them as TARGETS TO AIM FOR when dropping stuff in the bed...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
WTF!!!!!!! SELLING LIEUTANT DAN? That would be like getting rid of MBTS or SELLING the 120! I started watching your channel with you and MBTS building the Lieutant. I keep watching to see the progress. Now I'm hooked, and will never see The Lieutant streching his new legs. 😭😭😭😭
In the automotive (autobody / collision 25 yr's ) / (Boeing Aircraft painter 747's 767's, 5 yr's) painting world, their are "RUNS," and then their is what is called "CURTAINS," It takes a special skill-set to achieve "CURTAINS," on such a small part. Aaron has so much paint of that first bracket, the poor truck will be leaning to that side, LOL. Wink, wink, good thing the truck isn't an airplane, the FAA would make Aaron redo the paint-job on that bracket, worried the aircraft wouldn't be able to fly-level. LOL
Safety first. Good call. One of the funniest Dirt Perfect episodes. LOL! Hey Aaron, you'll need more that just an add on run of the mill AM/FM radio, needs a weather channel, maybe even a DVD player. Oh and by the way since Bubba Dump is so loud, you'll need a good set of healthy speakers, sub-tweeters, sub-woofer, and throw in a 1000 watt amplifier and of course the superior audio cabling to ensure you hear all the highs, mids, and lows. Bubba Dump will be rockn' it. One of a kind Perfect Dirt hauler. Kinda fits with the one of a kind Mad Max Beast tree saw/trimmer. I know Mike, Aaron does not need any more ideas. LOL. Cant wait to see how it all works. I'm sure it will be a blast.
Heck Mike, don't worry about the missed video of you drilling holes, you and AARON are the entertainment, love your videos, have any SPRINTCAR videos made the grade ?
Only a boilermaker would turn a square tube upside down to see if it fits the other way!!! Lol😅😅😅 make sure you tell him I said that. I am a pipefitter
Morning DP and MBtS. Always a good idea to remove blind spots. Also I’m not anywhere near the best operator in the world, but having spent a little bit of time in rock trucks it definitely is difficult at times to gauge where your back end really is.
This video didn't show up on my phone until 29APR2024, so the monitor is likely already mounted ... but it looks to me like a convenient, factory-looking location would be that blank, operator-facing panel on the left dash (opposite the right panel with all the switches). Regardless of where it winds up, Big Thanks for all the cool videos.
It's about time for a Bubba Dump Paint job. I'm thinking Black cab and frame with a lime green bed. THAT my friends would be COOL !!
'Rubbin dumpin' MBTS it only makes sense when you say it. Well done Dirt Perfect looking after the employee - he really is a happy chappie. No excuses now MBTS.
Like these videos. You are referring to the paint job quality. Here in South Africa we call it covid quality... You inspect/pass it from a distance..
Interesting sneekpeak outro showing the SSQA Tree Saw mount. Buzz Kill is going to be even more useful. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Like the shop videos, fun watching and listening to. Ssoooo- Aaron using the athletic type paint, must of got it from Captain guy, down the road apiece, 🙄😉😏😂😂😂. Go shop time, love it. Thanks for the update.😊
Okay, you were right, rubbing is dumping is probably the stupidest thing Aaron has said, BUT It made me watch the video.
Who broke the window in the dozer pushing brush! I’m not sure loading bubba dump is the concern. All I’m saying is that wouldn’t have happened with Jerry. lol 😂
You have to be of a certin age......but the Bickerson's are alive and well......LOve you guys carry on..be safe...
I knew you'd sell Lt.Dan before you completed him 😂
As always, coffee and lots of laughs with you guys is the best way to start my day.
Cameras on Bubba will be a huge safety improvement Mike. Well done on the placement. Next will be a heated Massage driver's chair for Aaron?
Someone mark it on a calendar, DP actually admitted ON CAMERA that MBTS was right. 😁
Now LD18 is going to get backup cameras. Only his will be Bluetooth. 😂😂😂
No problem with losing content from the mud flap... you'll gain a lot more about muddy cameras... the way you guys high ball around in Bubba Dump, they will get muddy. My ribs hurt from giggling at your banter, can't laugh, the wife's asleep.
Ha' way Mike, let Aaron loose with the luminous yellow paint 🤣🤣🤣
Those cameras are going to make life easier reversing Bubba Dump 😁
