Its fantastic that you clean up the ocean but now what? Where does it go once you load it onto the truck? I think its important to show exactly what happens to the trash , right up to the very last step.
Yes Kim, I believe it goes to Malaysia now that China stopped accepting it. There is something coming on RT (I believe) that shows this - it is not good... From what I have seen on the trailer, Pepsi only recycles a small percentage of the plastic. It is sad - time to step up USA, Canada, EU and handle the stuff, use it for something other than what it is now! PS. I live in Alberta and we produce the materials daily for making plastic from our oil but don't recycle in our province, from what I know...
Great question! Once we collect the trash, everything we collect is brought back to our facility where it's carefully sorted and prepared to be recycled. Anything that can’t be recycled, we're storing for a new future project.
Everything we collect is brought back to our facility where it is carefully sorted. Anything that is able to be recycled gets recycled. In south Florida what can’t be recycled is taken to SWA in West Palm Beach to be turned into energy. SWA is the most efficient, least emission facility in the country. In Bali and Haiti what can’t be recycled we are storing for a future project. Be sure to stay tuned. 🤙
Right?! One man's trash is another man's treasure!!! I was thinking that they could convert the trash into building materials or a source of safe fuel.
I think it's also an amazing thing how you somehow manage to help the people in Haiti, giving them new jobs possibilities! Haiti and all those countries are struggling hard with the consequences of massive industries, plus the awful life conditions. Keep up with the good work, thanks!

I am obsessed with your work. I've been trying to get my parents to get me one of your bracelets but they won't budge. I've even saved up enough money to pay them back.
I'm watching the horror in Libya and seeing how roads are collapsing and flooded everywhere. That led to thinking about pontoon roads that float. That led to "How?" Which led me to you. Upcycling all that appropriate plastic into pontoon roadways to aide rescue crews in natural disasters. Is that even possible? Thank You to all of you for all you do! 💜
Thomas Polinze why won’t they? It gonna get so far out of hand where millions of fish will die and things that will infect us, so obviously they will eventually ban plastic.
Although that may be true, we're not just cleaning the ocean, we're also launching education campaigns so that we can make everyone aware of the ocean plastic pollution crisis. From there, others will be inspired to take action themselves and then it's just a chain effect. We're trying to get everyone on board of the Cleanup Movement so that governments and industries will hear our message loud enough to make the necessary changes.
This could be implemented in California for the homeless. Clean and sort the plastic then sell it to manufacturers in the country (not china). That's how you create jobs and clean the environment, two birds one bottle (stone)
They already do it themselves. Trash pickup in my community would be great. People leaving mattresses on street corners or truck full of garbage because they don’t want to pay $15 bucks per truck load. Maybe next city council meeting I’ll bring it up

They sell it a recycling plant most likely. As far as the footage shows, they are just collecting and sorting the trash, not directly recycling them. Good deeds don't come free, nothing wrong with that.
Hi there! Our bracelets are priced at $20 as they fund our entire cleanup operation. If buying a bracelet isn't an option, you can still make a big impact by picking up trash when you see it and by reducing your use of single-use plastic. 🤙
After it's hauled away in the truck it's taken to our storing facility in Haiti to await use with a future project. In south Florida everything we collect is either recycled or turned into energy at SWA in West Palm Beach. 😎
it's so great what you're doing and I support it very much, but It'd be great if you'd advertise more plastic free solutions/suggestions. That it's necessary to reducing/replacing plastics in the everyday life :)
We encourage everyone to reduce their plastic intake on all of our social media handles. We have plenty of tips and tricks for how you can minimize your single-use plastic intake on our blog as well.
In addition to pulling at least a lb for each purchase, buying a bracelet also helps us offer more than 300 jobs in South Florida, Haiti and Bali. Invest in equipment that can help our cleanups scale, such as the Mobile Skimmer and also help us to expand our reach in raising awareness about single use plastic and the need for the global community to stop using it. Cleanups is a big part of what we do, but turning off the tap of what flows into the ocean is the only way to truly clean the ocean.
@cindyabeyewardene. We love to hear that this has inspired you to go out and start your own cleanup. For us, it's a pleasure to be able to help the ocean and continue to pull pounds. 💪
Absolutely! In many places plastic pollution has become a normal occurrence. That is why it is so important to continue spread awareness of how detrimental it can be to the health of the planet. We're all in this together.

We can make kool toys, homes, clothing apparel, tools, and even toys for our pet buddies and ocean floating devices. We can do ANYTHING that helps mankind.
Hey 4Ocean, plastic can all be converted into gasoline, desiel, or other oils for machine work. The operation to do that will only cost electricity which can be solar powered. Pretty easy process. Pick up or receive plastic, toss in the true recycle plastic, and convert to gasoline. True plastic recycle and unlimited gasoline solution. The project at a large scale will cost about 3million USD
I'm very glad UA-cam has recommended me this. Even tho I live in Germany (it's relatively clean), I can still make a change. I'll order myself some pickup thingys and I'll start cleaning up after Football Games!
In Haiti and Bali we're storing everything we collect for an awesome future project. In Florida we're either storing it or taking it to Solid Waste Authority to be recycled or turned into energy. SWA is the most efficient, least emissions facility in the country. 🤙
