well, that really sucks, because playing violent video games in my childhood was the best thing in the world. And I m really sure that no one who played violent games is not a psychopath so maybe the violence in games or movies is not the problem. If you think about it, in my country (Chile, yes, is a real country) no one shoot and kill the people who hate in the school or massacre people just for fun. I think that the problem is the education in home and not the hobbies.
That last bit was soul crushing, but I'm glad it came from Chris himself.
This is why rares slowly gone down the industrial toilet. They dropped all the original ips that Made Rare. Microsoft basically capsized rare when they bought em in early 2000s and just showed mercy by allowing live and reloaded to come out
What better way to kill conflict then to buy it out eh
@@elliottscott8112 No, that was all Rare. Most of the original team had left before they buyout so it wouldn't have mattered anyways.
To be honest, that last bit explains why Conker: Live and Reloaded was the way it was, why they censored out many of the jokes and swear words.
Hmm, at least Chris gave a proper answer why there won't be another "real" Conker game. I can live with that. It's sad, but you can't have everything.

Amazingly the tail physics were better on the N64. The spent a lot of time getting it right on that processor.
Conker's N64 model was so pleasing to look at and control. I loved when you'd go into first person mode and he'd look down at you, his eyes would follow you until the camera moved far enough away. His tail would twitch like a real squirrel. His idle animations were hilarious and varied.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see the ex-Rare team behind Yooka-Laylee try a Conker-esque title once they're done with Yooka-Laylee, or maybe the game after their next one.

I wouldn't change a thing to the original one. I think it's perfect the way it was.
I’d say port it to the Xbox, and update the controls to fit a traditional controller layout, and add in the online multiplayer, while keeping in the original multiplayer modes.
@@elibridgers2781 Well live and reloaded basically did exactly that except for the multiplayer which was changed even though it was online. Ironically the multiplayer was actually meant to be just like original but with new maps and modes on top of that. It was first called "Conker live and uncut" and the multiplayer was just like in original (with squirrels and tediz having their original design and having to pick up weapons rather than class based system in live and reloaded).
It would be great if they made an actual Banjo Kazooie platformer for the modern age in which Conker was the antagonist.
It'd be even better if Conker was a playable character. If the day ever comes that we get a game like that I would buy it day 1 and play it till the year after.
If there ever was a sequel...
Tons of gory death animations and Xbox game parodies would be sweet.

I say it was only titled Project Spark because it was the last spark of hope of another Conker game being made. A spark that never caught.

It didn’t sell particularly well either so the cartridges are now worth an absolute fortune.
I saw a copy of Conker at a retro game store, I ALMOST bought it. But, as you said they wanted a fortune for it. I had the money to buy it but I passed it up. I thought I was being smart saving my money, but looking back I wish I had bought it.
I remember being in Highschool Computer Lab, and reading an IGN article about Conker's drastic change.
I only knew Conker from Diddy Kong Racing, so I just said: ".....WHAT?"
this was the game that made me love games as i grew up!
this game is perfect. the last gem on the N64. one of my favorite games ever. nothing really compares to this. thank you for making it Rare. too bad it didn't sell as it deserved.
The last great gems on the system were Perfect Dark and this.. (Both rated Mature now that I think of it) I'd say Perfect Dark is overall better because of the amazing story and multiplayer, but for platforming games this is the best on the system!
Chris! Don't worry, get Matt Stone and Trey Parker to add their really wierd, messed up, random Movie and Pop Culture Reffrences in, and add Rock Star to make it more violent, and make the society in the game more corrupt. BOOM! Conker Sequal

+Guyi621 Supposedly, the sequel goes on that, Conker blew all of his treasury on hookers, beer, and such, and gets thrown in jail, but escapes.
Also, i could've sworn there was mention of Berri being revived as a Terminator-like robot to set out and kill Conker and there's a doppelganger of Conker in the story as well.

Depends... it could be the ORIGINAL ending (Conker blows his brains out with a shotgun in a bathroom), Conker's Other Bad Fur Day (which involved his reign as king), and the multiplayer focused prequel.

This is definitely my favorite game of all time and my second would probably be The Last Of Us and i have really high standards for games. But ever since the first time i played Conkers Bad Fur Day when i was 11 i have always wished for a sequel (Not Conkers reloaded cause its basically a remastered version of Conkers Bad Fur Day). I have always chosen PlayStation over Xbox and have never had an Xbox but when i saw Conker was a character in the game Spark it made me want to get a Xbox One just for that game, But i can promise you if they made a sequel to Conkers Bad Fur Day i would buy an Xbox One just for that reason (Assuming it would be an Xbox exclusive because Rare is owned by Microsoft). My point is PLEASE MAKE A SEQUEL!!!!!

It's confirmed, Banjo Kazooie and Conker along with all the other Rare characters are legally Microsoft characters but spiritually Nintendo characters.
Conker being Rated M I believe was the final reason Nintendo didn't bother buying Rare and started distance themselves from them
Mixed feelings about this one it was good but I was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to a game that was a bit more like the original. At the very least they could have Kept Berri playable I was looking forward to seeing her in action on my TV for the first time as a playable character.

The actual Nintendo may have supported the game, but Nintendo Power sure didn't. After glancing mention in an E3 issue, I don't think they ever touched it again until years later; after Rare had long been sold to Microsoft.
And if THQ didn't distrubuted it, it would never been published in Europe as Nintendo of Europe was more than reluctant to do it. I cannot imagine CBFD not being released in UK, its native land...

Learn to sync sound, noobs. Its really quiet too, so when we turn it up to hear it, we get blasted by ads. Just delete it and redo it.
Pretty sad how this is truth of why these games won't return, this series definitely needed sequels, but it's for the best, Ted Price from Insomniac cringed when he looked back at the original games of Ratchet and stopped throwin' in edgy and mature shit, it'd be hard to get that made now.

Ah, that's a reasonable reason. Never crossed my mind because I thought it was just for people would couldn't understand English accents. Cheers.
