Cold Starting School bus fleet

Sorry this was supposed to be uploaded last week. In order these buses are
05 2005 CE300 DT466
88 1998 FS65 Cummins 5.9
95 2021 C2 Cummins 6.7
99 2005 CE300 DT466
13 2015 Vision Cummins 6.7
92 2004 CE300 DT466E
Temp was around 30 degrees Fahrenheit as this video was recorded.

Love the FS-65, my first bus at my old district was a 04 FS-65 with a 5.9 as well.
My current district just got rid of our last FS-65, 2000 with a MBE, had been sitting since March 2020

I should have seen ours. Up till spring of 2021 we had busses that sat from the 80s 🤦‍♂️

Im not sure why the newer trucks start so quickly in the cold. I think they have grid heaters instead of glowplugs so perhaps thats why but it still never ceases to amaze me how they start up like any gas powered vehicle does in the cold. I was also amazed how quick that second old freightliner started up after the plugs cycled, that thing was taken really good care of!
