Yes, the mix is a train wreck, which is a shame because there are a lot of good things going on, but some are lost, smeared, drowned out by the damn mix! I'm surprised because JT is almost always spot on. Maybe they had to use a backup sound engineer or something? I sense Justin isn't happy with some of what he's hearing in his in ear monitors, but he soldiers on and it's still enjoyable in spite of the many issues with the mix.

Yeah, there is a lot going on here. You can see Justin signaling at the beginning that the mix was was fucked up. You can see one of his band mates signaling to the board to fix it and nothing got fixed. This is actually one of my favorite JT life performances because it sounds like actual live music and not perfect, props to JT for not trying to yell and just singing his part but he really got buried by the horns, especially. Still a really great recording.

Yes, the mix is a train wreck, which is a shame because there are a lot of good things going on, but some are lost, smeared, drowned out by the damn mix! I'm surprised because JT is almost always spot on. Maybe they had to use a backup sound engineer or something? I sense Justin isn't happy with some of what he's hearing in his in ear monitors, but he soldiers on and it's still enjoyable in spite of the many issues with the mix.

Yeah, there is a lot going on here. You can see Justin signaling at the beginning that the mix was was fucked up. You can see one of his band mates signaling to the board to fix it and nothing got fixed. This is actually one of my favorite JT life performances because it sounds like actual live music and not perfect, props to JT for not trying to yell and just singing his part but he really got buried by the horns, especially. Still a really great recording.
