THANK YOU for showing this bike without "Casey Neistat'ing" everything. It drives me absolutely crazy when people review things and just edit the video beyond all recognition. Loud music, 4,500 jump cuts per minute, cinematic close up shots for half of the video, etc. This is the first video I've seen where I can actually hear what the bike sounds like while riding it, and see a 1st person view of its acceleration. It's just so refreshing.
Your right these types of footage are usually short and boring but a few minutes of this is almost like your experiencing the ride. Thank you for this post, Super73 are badass and this video helps with decision of purchasing one.
Great Video! Glad to see someone with Man Meat! ...(over 235lbs) This video made me smile kinda like I was riding with you!! Bug Thanks Again, saving to purchase next month!!
I've watched a lot of videos about the super 73, and this one is by far the best I've seen. Thank you for making it. Lithium cycles should give you a commission, because I'm no longer on the fence.... I'm buying one!
I rode a friend's Scout Rose Ave. and it was faster than I expected. BTW, love the phone mount and speedo app, much easier to read than the tiny stock speedo.
I have the Rose Ave, and love it (same bike)... but, I now want more power. Lolz. I'm dreaming of watts for days, fat bikes, road, chopper, mid drive, hub, aarrrrggghhhh
I’m actually getting a Bluetooth speaker from Zulu Audio specifically made for these types of activities. They attach to your clothing via strong magnets. I’ll definitely be doing a sound check while riding with them 👍
Breaking the law on this ebike?? Lol. Good one. This is a class 2 ebike. In the eyes of the law in California, it's the equivalent to any regular bike.
im pretty sure this thing tops out at about 25 to 30mph depending on weight. if youre looking for something faster check out the onyx electric moped. more of a cafe racer style but still really cool, also it tops out at about 60mph.
I was able to hit 27MPH the very first time I rode my Super73 Original but have not been able to replicate that again, it maxes out at around 24-25 MPH. Can you do a video on how to scroll thru and set up the controller? Thanks.
This is exactly the kind of video I was looking for - thank you! The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on getting one of these are the reviews I've been reading about the wheels and having to get them swapped or fixed. Wondering if you've needed to get any maintenance since getting your bike?
Hi Willis! The only issue I’ve had with my bike is the headlight mount breaking. However, Lithium Cycles was quick to send me the upgraded replacement part. As far as my tires, no issues from manufacturing defects. I went 400 miles before my first flat and that’s because I ran over a whole bunch of goat heads. I put some slime and tuffy liners in and haven’t had a flat since.
Really good idea to share the speed and ride quality! What's the suspension like? Does it hit back on rough roads? Awesome! What are you shooting with?
The fat tires and steel frame do a pretty good job of absorbing bumps along the road for the most part. However, on rougher roads and at higher speeds you will definitely feel those bumps. I’m shooting with a GoPro 6 👍
im really interested in getting an electric bike, i tried the rad rover with the fat tires, said it had a 500w bufang hub motor and i weight about 240 and i was lucky if i got 7 miles, it was soo horrible i ended up returning it completely the ride was horrible and i ended up returning the entire bike back for a refund... in your honest opinion would the super 73 be a good ebike for me or a person weighing about 240 pounds? im looking for a decent range, i would be happy w what i call a res ride, goes around the entire resevoir and is about a 15 minute drive in a car would the super 73 be able to complete my res ride and have enough power to get me home? how is the super 73 power wise? do u have the hub motor or the mid drive motor right by the pedals? thanks in advance..
hey Javi ,bumpboxx says they will be sending you the new flare box for review .cant wait man .i hope it sounds better then the big bumpboxx .and it boasts a stereo amplifier now they say .
I looked at the website, and want to what's an "E-Bike Specialist"? The warranty says it must be assembled by them or the dealer. Do the bikes come preassembled?
The bikes come about 90% assembled. You need to put the handle bars, front wheel, and front brake disc on. It’s not too difficult to do yourself, but if you do, you risk voiding the warranty. My local bike shop put mine together.
I've got a hyper scrambler on order in brushed aluminum, so there's no paint the scratch! I'll take the power to weight ratio of the aluminum frame over the steel frame any day! Juiced has added a frame support/passenger foot pegs mount, since the hyper test ride. Also if you hit a hole with the super 73 front fork, It will jar your teeth! I'll enjoy the Hypers air shocks up front! Along with the bigger motor and battery, of the Hyper 😊
Great video mate. My 73 scout turned up this week in Australia and I love it! It's the best means of transport i have now! I love riding the bike paths! I've ordered the throttle because our in standard trim only have 250watts. Fitting the throttle gives you back the 500w and higher speed limit! 👍
Great video! The bike looks super nice, however it does seem a bit slow for my taste, could be nice with a 1000-1500 watt motor instead for some more punch. then i would definetly get one!
Even if you could, the battery is the same voltage. So I doubt you'd see any increase in speed. Just range. Any increase in amp output offered by the S2 pack will not be utilized by the S1 controller. In order to increase speed and power you really need to upgrade the Trifecta: Battery, Controller, and Motor. High volt battery that allows a high continuous amp draw, a controller that can handle a high continuous amp draw, and finally a motor that can handle all that power without frying. This is what I did on a full suspension CirKit Frame.
On a hub motor ebike you rarely need to shift much and it's simpler for the average newbie consumer to just throttle and go. I rarely need my granny gears in San Francisco unless on the very steepest hills. Usually first couple of cogs are used if geared. They just went for simplicity and low maintenance. One less thing to adjust and one less part to add weight.
@@ebikefansfo I see. I still thinks it's just for more profit. A shifter and freewheel is insanely easy to maintain and super cheap these days. A rider with the ability to properly cadence along with a motor is going to help the motor last longer. In fact, a motor will last longer with gears then with only 1 gear because it's going to burn out faster. From a stand still the motor is doing most of the work with only one speed... this is super inefficient on the batter compared to having proper gearing. Especially is having gears with a mid-drive motor, like a BBSHD, better for low end torque and high end speed not to mention more efficient on battery life when it's spinning at high rpm. Plus, it is less likely to overheat, thus lasting longer...this is only achieved with gears appropriate to his torque ability. We ride both hub motor and mid-drive units. A motor's full potential is totally wasted with only one gear.
@@nettoyageadriance They completely moved away from the BBSHD middrive and are all geared rear hubs now. BBSHD should have gears and I plan to add them to my original Super 73. I do have a A2B Metro direct drive hub as well and use maybe the first two cogs if I shift. I have a HyperScrambler coming that has 9 speed cassette and 1100W MAC motor and an ONYX that has no shifting but a 5400W peak QS motor.
Javi's Boom Tech Ordered a Super73 S1 months ago...should be here by the end of August. I live off of Melrose we should do a meet up and cruise it....in the future of course. Cruise downtown V-Town.
I have the Luna Banana with Ludicrous BBSHD. It’s by far the best performing eBike with the mini bike design. I have a video of it on my other channel, Dos Tacos Motos

💯!!

Casey is one of the best of youtube!
Thank you for actually showing the bike accelerate. Every single video I found has been so overedited that I cant tell how the bike performs

so... did you buy it?
We customized a Super73 Z1 with a 3000Watt motor and 72Volt battery. The bike goes now 44mph on a flat surface. :D
johnnypuetz holy fuck yes!!!!
Hub motor bro,did you reuse the same rear wheels,i am considering buying one but thinking of doing 2wd mid drive plus rear hub.
Loved your vid man, first video ive seen that showed the real power of that motor! Cant wait for mine to arrive

Awesome review... I’m from NYC and I wanted to get an ebike for commuting. I questioned the power on the super 73 s1 but answered my question haha
I am proud that you broke all the laws that were inconvenient to you, as a fellow cyclist I tip my fedora to you. also good demo.
Breaking the law on this ebike?? Lol. Good one. This is a class 2 ebike. In the eyes of the law in California, it's the equivalent to any regular bike.
anybody else paying attention to how nice that neighborhood is? lol great video

Fastest I’ve seen on the Super 73 S1 is 27mph with a 130lb rider on flat. Verified via GPS.
Damn that’s a good camera

Hey cool video javi. I am thinking of buying the same model but I'm 6'1 tall and weight 270 lbs. Can this handle me?
My father-in-law is around the same height and weight and he loved the S73. The bike had no problem handling him. Nor did he feel uncomfortable on it.
Javi's Boom Tech 👍🏼😎 thanks
Man the juiced bike looks way more faster then this !
Andy Martinez yup
Have fun going that with with those weak aluminum frames 😂
Tristan Ervin what’s weak about them? They make quality bikes with warranty which proves quality

The S1. I can’t remember the name but I do know it’s Android only. I’ll check the name and post it in the video description

How accurate is the speedometer on the bike compared to the one on your phone??
It matches my phone's GPS as long as you have the correct tire size entered.

your having too much fun Javi....
wait is that a place from gta?
Its driving me crazy wth is the rest of his shirt say I want to know!
