As someone also with an autoimmune disease, gluten & dairy are also trigger foods for me. Struggle is real as a foodie lol. But like you said, it’s unrealistic to 100% cut out these foods and good to enjoy every now and then. Love your videos!

Thanks for reminding us that consistency in our diet matters most and that one day of overeating will not break the work you’ve done. Today I had my first “cheat day” after a few months of being very consistent in my diet to build muscle and loose weight 😅 I was feeling a little guilt because first, I wasn’t planning on “cheating” and second I have a fear of gaining weight because I’ve struggled with loosing weight all my life. Laura, the reason why your joints hurt when you eat some dairy is because the conventional dairy (pasteurized and homogenized dairy) are very inflammatory and do the opposite of the benefits they claim. MANY people who cannot have conventional dairy do well with raw dairy! Try to get your hands on some raw dairy because it’s very nutrient dense. The pasteurization process of conventional dairy heats the dairy at such a high temp that it essentially burns away any nutrients in the dairy and makes it very inflammatory to many people. Raw dairy has its nutrients intact!
