I totally remember my first Long EZ flight in 1993 after almost two years of building. I droned around in the airport environment for an hour and everything seemed OK so I flew 20 miles away and buzzed my house and wife. I still can't believe I did that. Now I have over 2,000 hours in the two Long EZ's I built.
I just saw this plane parked just down the ramp from the school I teach at at BOI yesterday, had to walk over and take a closer look. Gorgeous airplane and definitely a treat to see! Congratulations!
Congratulations Tanner, your flight looked perfect. Love the paint on your EZ, I fly a Cozy IV and used to own an EZ, didn't build either though. Building is a BIG accomplishment!
I’ve become to be fascinated with this plane and would love to fly one someday. Visibility Is unmatched in the industry …looks like it’s very easy and forgiving to fly. The engine at full rpm however seems a lil odd to me …almost like there is something wrong ….but ? Great vid. Thanks for sharing
No. It flys like most high performance airplanes. - it’s fast and clean which makes it harder to slow down for landing. But other than that it’s a joy to fly and anyone with experience in a few different types of airplanes could safely operate it.
I don't know how long your runway is, but if you've got enough runway length leave the nose up after the main wheels touch. Put the nose down at about 50-55 knots. Have fun, Lgez83DF

Congratuations! I have the virtual version in MS Flight Simulator and have great fun in mine!
Wonderful plane and flight. Great job on both!
My first flight in a Long Ez was superior to my first solo flight in a 150. Was a spectacular day.
I like the paint job and colors.
I remember my first flight in brand new N10LZ....will never forget it....so very thrilling.......
Absolutely an indescribable feeling!
Thrilling but legs shaking like a dog shitting razor blades!
My favorite design of all times CONGRADULATIONS on your first flight!!!
Awesome job Tanner. Congratulations. We used to call that the smoke check look back. Well done dude. Very excited for you.
Congratulations Tanner. Looking very smooth. Nice approach and landing.
Well done. I'm building a Cozy Mk4. I hope to be not that far behind.
Congratulations man- well done. Will be following for updates!!

Congratulations......Happy Landings
Nice job! Did first flight in mine in March '21 also.
Is that center display GRT? I outlined the GRT 10.1 Sport and it doesnt appear to fit on my panel with transponder and radio stack
Did a flight in a Canard. Very surprised how the canard drops lift quite a bit in a heavy VFR rain storm. Not Good.
Very nice cockpit. If you ever decide to sell please let me know.
What engine used? Lycoming, Continental, Rotax ,UL Power, Revmaster VW type or ??
I wonder what is the insurance cost?
how much does this plane cost? and where i buy?
Is that the ronz canard I can see the high performance rudders looks very clean
O-320?
My dad built an EZ and Cozy Mk4….
His EZ had a 290. This definitely sounds like his Cozy
WOW GREAT PLANE!!!
very good, I like the GRT avionics
Kind of an odd sensation seeing that canard sitting out front and every input you make to climb and decend.
First flight and you went with 1080p? 🤣
Love the design of the panel -- did you machine that yourself or use a company?
Good job!
Is this aircraft harder to fly than ordinary ones, like Cessnas or Cirrus?

Nice avionics
Nice!!!
Awesome!!! What engine do you have???
Outstanding!
Curious, does the cockpit have a heater?
Not per the original plans, but it has been done before as a modification, nickugolini.com/Website/Oil%20Heat/Heater%20Links/Oil_heat_N110EZ.htm
@@Wingnut353 Thanks!!
Outstanding! Congratulations! Did you have time in canards before this flight?
Yes, I have about 300 hours in my Varieze.
N785R was EZ, N528DR was Cozy
Awesome flight!
Did you install a roll over structure over the existing glass headrest?
Ya liga TV TV
