    T7 - The best middle-weight adventure bike in its price range. If only they did a SP version with better suspension and kept it less than the 790 Adv it would be close to being the best middle-weight adventure bike overall. The 790 Adv might be a lot more money but then it's a lot more bike. One is budget, one is premium. Two manufactures coming at the market from different directions. Great for consumer choice.

      The stock suspension is fine for most - just use the factory adjustments - not many bikes at the price has that much adjustment

      Thanks Scott. Yea, there are some pretty good bikes out there below the 10k mark. This is one of them.

    Have many miles of nicely graded wilderness gravel roads in my neck of the woods with many logging type side roads to explore. This Tenere 700 would be a hoot for me. And my very first bike was a 1975 Yamaha DT400 Enduro.

    Great review as always! If you get a chance can you review the ktm 690Adv. R, or the huskey 701 Enduro. Both of these are 100 pounds lighter with 74 HP and set up for off road, thanks..

    Awesome video. Definitely think the Tuareg 660 or KTM 890 adventure will be my choice. I was thinking about the Tiger Sport 660 but I would rather have a touring bike that can go off road for the few times that I’ll actually be doing that.

    Looking at the specs, it's probably closer to the KTM790/890s rather than the R model when you look at the ground clearance and suspension travel. Yet it's always compared with the R probably because of looks.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  4 роки тому

      Thank you.
      The jacket is Rukka and the thermo liner is removable that came with it. Basically I walked into the motorcycle store and said "show me the warmest coat you got for winter riding" and I walked out with the Rukka. It's probably the most expensive of brands but it keeps me warm. 😊 But in the States it might be hard to find, at least I've heard from other guys.
      Gloves, well they change from time to time and day to day, I will not recommend any gloves simply because I have not found a pair that I can recommend.
      Ride safe,
      Scott

    Scott I have another one for you the AV Augusta Suervolace 800 I hope I got the spelling right I know they’re expensive but that’s got to be one of the best looking bikes I’ve ever seen I find a lot of written information but I can’t find any actual test drives or rides I’m getting close to taking the leapAnd it’s going to be the last bike i’ll buy by the way I said that a year ago when I bought my last dirtbike. I do appreciate your opinion thanks again.

      Hi Keith, yes, I've done a review of one a long time ago, it's actually one of my first reviews, so the review and presentation is really terrible imho. It's really a different experience to ride the bike, I personally didn't care for it and the sound...well...let's just say took some getting used too. They look great but you really have to ride one to find out if you can live with one.

    Hey man thanks for the video! Just wondering what the engine performance is like between the tenere and something like the versys 650 or the v strom 650? Which of the bikes feel like it has more torque? Or which one cruises better on a highway or which has the higher top speed? Thanks man!

    Thanks for the review , I am looking for a lighter bike like this . I will be on pavement more then dirt , but i recently sat on a v-strom 650 and 1000(would like to stay lighter then that ) and they felt comfortable. What bike do you think is good if you want to take a passenger sometimes? I already own a wr250r that I love . Thank you

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  4 роки тому

      Your welcome, well, I've never ridden the V-Strom's, an issue I hope to remedy in 2020 so I can't compare to this. This is a very comfortable bike and is one of the lightest in the middle weight adv group, although I did not ride it with a passenger, I think it would do well with a passenger though. They are starting to arrive at dealerships in mass now, so go down and sit on one and take it for a test ride, if you can, but if you do that you better bring your wallet cause you will want to put some money down...I promise :)

      Have you seen the T7 passenger seat? You're not going to be friends with your pillion after a journey. I would seriously look at the Africa Twin if I were you. With the 2020 update you're likely to get a great deal on last years model. The Africa Twin may be a little heavier than the T7 but it's pretty capable offroad and very good onroad. They look great as well.

      Steve Cade ...thanks for bringing that point up .🤔I love the idea of buying a leftover, bought my current bikes used and have absolutely no problems , just looking for a bike that can do it all ..and still be fun .. I have a Road King, FZ1 and Wr250r...the Fz1 is is a blast but the least comfortable. Would look to sell her off in a year or so ..

      Bob Sacamano ...I am 55 , have a torn bicep and shoulders that aren’t great . I keep my bikes in sheds, and I have a small yard , not much room to maneuver. That’s why I am thinking about a middleweight bike . I seem to go to my wr250r cause it the easiest to get to ! Lol , I know , I want smaller yet want to carry a passenger, going opposite logic .

    • @luvsallbikes279
      @luvsallbikes279 4 роки тому

      Bob Sacamano ...I am not crazy about them , I have read they are great bikes . I sat on a dr650 and it felt good but need fuel injection...also wr is a little tall for me , even with lowering seat ...maybe i wait a year and one of the big co’s actually come through with a bigger, modern middleweight bike . That smaller African Twin ? Not as hard edged as the Yamaha 900 Tracer i just looked at ..something fun , approachable for people 54” to 5’11 say ? Lol ...

    Hi Scott, i will buy a bike from Germany, and I live selv in Norway, I find a HONDA DN-01 2011. 5000 km on it. Price is 6800 euros. What do you think about price?

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  4 роки тому

      Hi Wahid, well, that really depends on the condition of the bike. You will have to do a visual inspection of it and Germans usually keep a very good record of maintenance, so check if the bike has been maintained and also not stored outside too. Also, excellent condition means not been "totaled" meaning crashed and insurance has paid off the owner for a total loss and then been repaired/parts replaced and brought back up to legal specs. Then consider it, sure.
      Good luck, Scott

    I don't like this bike at all. It might be really good though, but the looks are not what I want in a bike and I love Adventure-Bikes!
    But this wanna-be Dakar-look is kind of a really annoying thing TO ME! I want to use more drastic terms, but I think that's not appropriate, is it?
    And the price tag is not good at all. If you take the real competition, as far as money and power is concerned, you see that this bike is about 1000€ too expensive. (Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT (8990,-) , Yamaha Tracer 700 GT (about 8600€ (a current pricetag is unavailable) and is basically the road version of the Tenere 700))
    The KTM is not the real competition, because of the more powerful engine and is better equipped.
    Good video anyway
