De Haan, Belgium 🇧🇪 4K

On my wife's birthday, we went to De Haan (French: Le Coq) as a weekend escape. De Haan is a beach resort on the Belgian sea coast in West Flanders. The town was once a popular destination for French-speaking aristocracy and the wealthy.
The central part of town is about a kilometer long and slightly more than half as wide, so you can get around on foot. You can easily take the Kusttram between De Haan and Wenduine. However, if you want to see the sights in inland villages such as Klemskerke, you should travel by bike or car.
The fanciful architecture of many of De Haan's buildings, both commercial and residential, is a distinguishing feature. Many structures are in the Belle Epoque style. The architecture alone may be reason enough to visit De Haan. The majority of these interesting structures are located between the tram line and the beach. Commercial structures (hotels and restaurants) line the path from the tram station to the beach and along the beach itself. Look at the houses on residential streets as well, as almost all of them are charming.

Hi, many thanks 😊✌️ This time we stayed 2 nights and we enjoyed the lovely De Haan once again. Even on one of the hotest day, due to strong wind it was pretty chilling by the beach :) We hope to visit again 😊🖐
