This used to passed around on VHS back in highschool, it did the rounds.
😂👏🏽
So it was like my high school GF, touche.
💯 ….. college for me …… I’m 50 now.
Ha... nice bro. 🤜🤛
Absolutely what made me fall in love with anime
Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D were the movies that got me into anime
And Project A-ko for the yuri themes.
Hell yeah man, me too. VHD bloodlust is a masterpiece 👌
Bloodlust is another incredible movie.
They weren't my gateway, but hell yeah!
Same. Those and Golgo 13.
Youre in Elementary school, You get a cool ninja movie from Blockbuster, parents think its for kids as its animated, you watch this and your world forever changed.
Lol facts
Yup - you used to be able to find this next to the Disney cartoons in the video rental stores! The sales people and parents had no idea and thought it was just another cartoon.... 🤣
That's exactly what happened to me.
Got it from my local library. Shut it down scared to death my parents would see that playing mid day in the living room.
Wicked City was crazy
One of the OGs that got me into anime! When someone says, "Anime is for kids!" Show them this classic.
Absolutely. This, and Akira.
Well said 😅
@@davidcale7776fist of the North Star too
Rurouni Kenshin (Trust and Betrayal OVA) too. Also Ghost in the Shell (the movie).
Show them Cyber City Oedo 808 next
One of the best movie of the old school anime era !!
Wicked City, Demon City Shinjuku and Cyber City by Yoshiaki Kawajiri
@@Boogen4k you forgot vampire hunter d bloodlust and the running man a short that was part of the neo tokyo anthology
@@kevinsalcedo6055 Yes Vampire Hunter D is the most beautiful film directed by Yosihaki Kawajiri. The Characters look straight out of 'Renaissance' painting?
Let me correct that for you: One of the best movies.
Ninja scroll, ghost in the shell and Akira are the three best anime movies of all time.
lol
Akira is one of the best movies of all time period 🤷🏾
Vampire Hunter D (Bloodlust) too
The Big 3 haha
Gits is probably the best series. if your a serious anime type of guy
They don't make anime like this anymore. Top shelf.
If you talk about cruelty in anime, then there are some: Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dorohedoro, Mugen no Juunin: Immortal, Hell's Paradise, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
@@ИгроБафф they are nothing alike . its the 80 90's vibe. art direction, design, etc. like Akira
Still looks way better than today's anime. Yoshiaki Kawajiri will always be a legend
yea, so much detail and fluidity in the animation back then
But what about Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dorohedoro, Mugen no Juunin: Immortal, Hell's Paradise, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress?
Todays anime is usually VERY lacking
@@ИгроБафф 90s anime just has a better visual looking vibe for me
@@kudasibanda4553 also 90s anime had more saturated colors that just have more life to me
The finger scene was sneaked into the trailer 0:22 😂
Oh snap, you're right!!!!🤣🤣
Lol
Classic scene you can't miss
Peak
That was the death SA for that dude.
It's been 30 years??!!! Some of the best action to this day

Hopefully there's a Steel Book edition. Would go well with my copies of Tommy and Lair of the White Worm.
This and Ghost in the Shell were what got me into anime. Now lets hope they give it a great 4k treatment like the GitS 4k Blu-ray!
Man anime in the past used to be much more cooler and sick, and awesome
Yup
@mdhasiburrahman8806 Japan valued creativity over feelings and agendas and did not give a chit what was shown; now, sadly, they seem to be flowing along the more western mindsets and ideologies and have toned down a lot from what they used to produce
A Certified Classic 🔥🔥
GOATED….. Jubei’s Ninja Chronicles baby( Original Japanese Title)…..waaaaay back in the VHS days .
One of the greatest Anime movies of all time.
Literally started watching this last week. It’s sick
