Patel started doing business in 1976, he really deserves such a car 👏👏
If you really want something, it doesnt matter how much it costs- Patel
This guy is really charismatic.
Did you know that Mr. Nikola Tesla, a great engineer, inventor of electricity and scientist was born in my country (Croatia) in a small village, in 1856, and died in New York in 1943. The car's named after him.
Woow good info
I don’t know
Who else came here for the Tesla but discovered the owner is more interesting and likable
i agree
Very chill guy, did not expect it
For sure...for a second I was beaming while listening to him and forgot abt the Tesla.
Yeah me too
This is what "Gujarati's" are like 😂
That guy is so humble you wouldn't think he drives a 20M car
If you meet him in the street, you can buy him soda and kdf thinking he's broke
Forget the car. The owner is interesting himself 😅😅
Its fun to listen to the guy. He has so much energy. He is clearly enjoying his new car
I like him sana
Kenyans are so talented... They see him for the first time and they are already commenting how humble and down to earth he is 🤣😂🤣. Awuoro
Good observation ,your a smart guy

Yaa its really cool to have this in africa. Our governments should wake up and promote such green cars . People are silently dying of cancer from ICE engines

Indians don't eat nyama choma fwaa like Africans. They eat a little roti and ndengu. That helps.
He probably also does not drink alcohol. Very dehydrating. Few things age one's skin and organs like alcohol. The more you consume, the greater the negative impact on your body as time goes by.

I love this guy. So bubbly and happy and positive. Business since 1976? He needs to write something
I love how this man adores Africa
You nailed it
This interview is legit....mzae ako open sana
The owner is a down to earth man.
That is how most dollar billionaires are, they spend on basics first and luxuries last , like Mike zukeberg( simple dressing ) versus Mike sonko(bling bling ).

Wow I used to work at viraj as a teacher back in 2016, though people have had bad experience working with Indians I can say the Patel family were the best bosses very humble

The government should zero rate electric cars and refund all those who have already paid those exorbitant fees.
Their mindset is so behind. All they're looking at is making extra off the top from others...
Please as @FredMSL explain to me why you are saying that and specifically to electric cars
Please explain why you say electric cars specifically sir
Because of their low carbon footprint
The greed can't allow them
How comes no one is appreciating his school.

Hahaha, Patel is very funny and interesting.
Hahahah true
Congrats to Kenya ✌️ from Rwanda 🇷🇼
I think I take for granted being American and seeing Tesla charge stations at City Hall...in rural Georgia. AS IF THAT IS NORMAL...and it isnt. Charge stations all over LA...and I don't blink an eye. Kenya is rising 🙌
The muindi is just Original and real
He's really loud John but if you really listen, he's actually a really kool and hardworking guy who is clearly a respectable businessman employing so many of his fellow Kenyans thanks for showing the diversity and innovation in Kenya.
What innovation..it's just a rich guy buying a car..if only you could hype actual innovations ..made in Kenya..

2 tribes i respect in Kenya when it comes to business, Kikuyu and Indians, big up to the Patels, very hardworking guy
Indians know were the bread is buttered that is manufacturing hope kikuyu can try that
😁 We are impressed because Patel pulls up in a Tesla? Let's be impressed because Patel pays his staff enuff to live next to him or buy their own Tesla's.🙂
@@catherinenyoro3953 when he offers employment to them that's already enough, not everyone should have a Tesla or posh BMW, what we want as human beings is food, shelter and good medication, the rest is vanity 😀
compensation for work done is done based on some merits ie.skills required to perform a task, risk involving in performing a task, level of education etc. So your claim that he should pay his workers to be able to buy a Tesla is stupidly and absurd your pay should will and shall forever be based on this don't expect millions for being a receptionist

I think i like the fact that ....MR.patel has agood communication skills ....He is making aGood Rappor with the guy as if he knew him years Back .That's Good
Am proud to be part of the Tesla AI project, much love from kenya.
What did it entail?
The mzee deserves to enjoy his best life and ev.
Amazing video indeed, salute the camerawoman @light bulb moments👍👍🕺🕺🕺
The owner is even more interesting than the car! Nothing much to marvel about with the design, but it's cool to know that it's environment-friendly.
Mr. Viju Patel, thank you for sharing. No gasoline...let's make it happen.
Watching👁👁 👩🏾💻 through your eyes ...
🗞 📰 One Journey🗺🌎🌍🌏 Let's Make It Count❗️
Was waiting for this, knew it was coming. Well done. I saw someone work out the tax incentive on EVs in Kenya and the difference is quite significant. 10% excise duty instead of the normal 20%.
Great step, we need more incentive though.
Elon Musk of Tesla should see this n run towards investing in 🇰🇪 Kenya.
After just 1 car ?
But enyewe kudos to the guy. Owning a Tesla is another experience by itself.
He danced around the how much did you buy it question..with a history lesson😁
He got me when he said the car can dance🤨🔥🔥🔥
He looks simple!.should test drive one soon👍
A humble rich man.He seems to be a quite hardworking and a business oriented person.
Patel, you're a blessing, thanks for showing the world Africa we are making a huge difference. Nice content. I loved it
Nice job African Traveller
Thanks
Being a car enthusiast, this is the best kenyan review I've watched, I wanna do this in the coming years..
Road trip thrill blood here, and the yearn to drive this baby is overwhelming.
Viraj is an interesting and happy soul
In many other countries electric cars are actually subsidized. It's not taxed at all and as a green initiative the governments actually pays you.
Welcome to Kenya the failed state
This government actually hates innovation
Eeh eti pay you and we have our own social problems ...we are collecting taxes at all cost.lol

If you were to ship one mandazi costing 5 ksh from the usa you'll buy it at 100 ksh in Kenya

Too expensive to buy the mandazi 😅 4 times expensive then in Norway 😂

Yea you are better off smuggling it through somalia into Eastleigh..... Oh wait.
Who else has been astonished by the speed of this car 🙋🙋... Zero to 100 in seconds 😳

Many more yet to come as Kenya grows in the next few decades.
Viraj apartments owner probably. The guy is super rich.
They own thousands of apartments in kileleshwa and lavington

Hahaha
Love the video man!!! Afrikan traveller! Electric all the way 🙌🏾
Tesla model X, the most expensive tesla model in the world goes for 9 million ksh (90k usd). I think kenya's custom duty levi is too much.
Yeah, you almost pay the same amount of the car as duty
Kenyan levies overprice the commodities forcing people to switch online .
Though the mzee's 12v battery might die soon. Would advise him to go for lithium ion 12v light weight battery and remove that huge 12v lead acid battery that dies very fast for him to enjoy this baby very well. Mzee am very happy for u here in uganda
I think Tesla Model S plaid is more expensive than Model X
Almost $200,000 and in USA are $80,000 brand new Tesla model X it's sad I saw 2017 ford mustang sold over $80,000 in kenya and you can find $15,000 in USA
So much information and History from Mr Patel. Kudos the good works
I wasn't prepared for a history class today
For the talking of the guy, so good, am used to there English every
Ooh God incredible messange there I love you African travellers viraj is a silent reach man woo and he is also agood hearted guy amazing
He was humble as well.
My thrill for cars just shot a notch higher. I love this.
I think African Traveller should do a special vlog on Mr Patel to tell us the secret on how he has defied aging. I believe it will benefit many.
Eat organic and dont drink and smoke youself silly
The call center said this car is not for Africa😭😭😭..we need to change our leaders
This guy is funny 💯💯💯I love Kenya
Man,this was just awesome!I will pass by his place at least to see it
Great content always 🔥🔥
Best video on this channel. My new dream car... I like how he avoids talking about the price.
Because it's not 20milliom, price is exaggerated, looking through the window right now my next door neighbour charging hers # single parent, unemployed ) not judging or disrespect phew! no way she can afford that, common in the streets of London like BMW 's.
the price is on the internet buddy
Wow the vehicle is driver friendly, good for nervous learners
I have been fortunate enough to be in a Tesla, because I know someone who know someone who owns one. It was Model X year 2020. It can drive itself, waaaa, it’s an amazing car. Ati it avoids collisions as it can stop itself before that happens.
And has also been involved in some spectacular crashes while on 'auto pilot' as the occupant claimed. Rammed into a huge overturned truck on the highway, which the Tesla didn't 'see.' Seems AI is still a long way from differentiating overturned trucks on the highway with overpasses (it slows down when it approaches a flyover/overpass).
@@cobwebtheorem7538 AI is still at revolutionary stage, but the future is well promising. The current issue is on AI ethics and personally I think its a good move to bring in morality at the age of AI lest we'll be doomed in the future.
The vehicle is worth $80k in Us yet in Kenya 20M is about $ 188k with current rates. . What a waste.
Afrikan Traveller great job on this interview, no worries Tesla dealership coming to S.Africa 🇿🇦 añd Robicon is pushing a lot to bring Tesla in Africa. More potential customers waiting for it
