This video brought back memories. I still have my first fish knife, a yellow handle imperial. A gift from grandpa. I think a collection of fish knives would be cool ! On a side notice, I need to update my dremel tools lololo . Well done George!
Just a quick ,money saving tip ,get citric acid and bicarbonate of soda ,1 cup of each in a gallon of water, and add some dish soap .works out about 7 bucks a gallon , a lot cheaper than evapo rust , great collection your getting ,very nice indeedee God bless you 🙏. Lee
I have the same yellow imperial fish knife. It was the first knife I bought when I restarted collecting knives. I love the fisherman or toothpick style. Nice collection brother. God bless.
I'm really partial to cracked ice scales like the last two knives you showed. Very nice array of Fish Knives I know Kabar made a fish knife I have one. Fun Video thanks George 😊
Turned out very nice George Being honest my old knifes I leave the natural patina on it. Thanks for sharing nice knifes all three of them and other’s, You take care now .
I like that knife, I do not think that I have ever seen a yellow one before, I bought one of those when I was a boy of about 10-12 yrs old, It had white scales on it and that is all I remember seeing is white, I even carried it to school in my pocket, it was acceptable in those days and our teacher would occasionally borrow it to open a box but that was a different time it would of been late 50's to the early 60s
Quickly coming up on 10k thats so good! You are one of the most wholesome people on youtube and i love your videos. Ive been watching you a long time but never commented, just wanted to congrats you on almost 10k!
Hey george. Looks like you are doing well, good to see it. I think the last two knives you showed had cracked ice handles, not mother of pearl, but i could be mistaken. I have seen some grey area in that regard. Good job on the cleanup, catch a bunch of fish, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
George on that red handled Hammer Brand single blade fisherman's knife there might be a hook remover on the opposite side of the blade or the non blade end of the knife not sure but a lot of the single blade fish knives had the hook remover in that spot!
Is there ever a need to sharpen somehow the fish scaler blade? For some may be just quite blunt?, and will maybe not catch a small fish scale enough to help to remove such a scale!!!
Maybe with a triangle file will clean the edges up. You can get small diamond files that will handle the carbon blade. Thanks for watching always appreciated
I get the paper towels from 99 c store. I prefer them fir the polishing and then use Mico fiber to clean up. Appreciate the support be safe and Happy Thanksgiving
