elrs backpack is usefull when you have multiple quad with different channel, or in race, so when you plug the battery on quad is always be set according to the remote, so you dont accidently blast the channel and power to the other pilot. and the module just sync to it
Great comparison and review on the Skyzone Steadview X. The mix mode looks a bit brighter but as for the video quality, I don't think I can really tell a difference. Great comparison video!!!! Great review Albert!!
Hello, and kind regards from Germany I have a question: can you connect directly to your cell phone with the 3.5 jack connection to use it as a screen? If it would also work on my Pico 4, that would be awesome MFG
Ive not had any issues with my 04X but have been thinking of getting another module for Quad-Diversity but still have not seen any definitive proof that 4 are noticeably better than 2 and I've also gotten more into HDZero soooo. A far as ground station I still get better analog reception using one of my FlySight RC801 LCD monitors than I have from my old box goggles, 03X, or 04X so not sure how much that would help me out. Honestly I wish there was an Analog/HDZero external VRX...
Hate to say but my "old" Fatshark HDv2's using a cheap Reaxacc VRX the picture is miles better than the original 04XOLED despite lower resolution, non-OLED, and no fine tuning for focus ... just pulled the O4Xs out and was hoping to hear new Steadyview VRX has improved from version 1 Buit not seeing it... may cut out the bay and try out the Reaxacc VRX. Are your 04Xs original version? Looks like there have been several hardware revisions for the Steadyview VRX.
@@JohnFHendry I bought mine second hand, think its the the V2. I switched to a Foxeer Wildfire receiver and I got way better reception now. Still a bummer that Skyzone doesn't give a f.
@@JohnFHendry I have done zero firmware updates on my 04X's but I did get the V2's as I knew there must have been an issue with the v1's DVR due to it being such a low resolution and sure enough the released a better DVR then the v2's so glad I waited. I was able to get my hands on the Skyvision HDZero monitor thanks to Albert. So I'm all set as far as my Analog and HDZero needs go and both Goggle and HD setups work great for me. I'm still playuing around with the HDZero monitor but lately I have not even been using my external HDZero VRX and just outputting the Skyvision to my goggles. My 04X's seem to be working fine though. My next big project though will be an automatic antenna tracker base station using an Analog VRX and my external HDZero VRX but I still dont fully have my head around which direction I'm going to go with the tracker. Thinking of a DIY using an STM32F103 dev board or just buying a VirtualPilot Sentinel AAT build kit.. Decisions, decisions....
Can this module be installed into goggles like a rapidfire module, or does it need to have a separate power source and external AV cables connected up?
Pretty cool. I a great module to support those using analogue. A warning before updating, in FPV, that's nothing new. 😆 It's nice that they include ELRS functionality. Thanks for another great video. Not a huge difference, but Mix mode 1 looks slightly brighter, but not dramatic difference from my vantage point
Hey Albert do you have any idea what's going on with audio and this vtx? I was thinking it didn't support it the whole time but earlier I recorded some vids driving around on the DVR of my skyzone goggles and there was audio in the playback.. It was spotty though, cut out completely when the signal was low.
I think it's due to compatibility issues with some video transmitters. I would contact Skyzone for further details on what works and what doesn't as I don't know this information.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks, I realized I was just confused over the different receivers. I get audio from the skyzone goggles when using the included v3.3 steadyview receiver. I do not however get the audio when using the steadyview X as a module in the goggles. So when using both modules together, only the regular 3.3 receiver has the audio and it cuts out a lot because the antennas on that module are no good. I thought the only real difference between the two receivers was one having a wider band filter.
I like the ELRS backpack, I think it's easier to change the band and channel through the controller. Awesome video Albert, a lot of information provided.
The color saturation on V1 looked better to my eyes... disappointed to see that. Wish he had shown both in same modes...diversity and mix modes together. Was hoping Skyzone had improved their steady view VRXs. Still using orig Fat Shark HD v2 with 50 degree FOV for analog and haven't found anything better for my eyes using analog. Seems when it comes to FPV goggles earlier models are as good or better overall for a lot of people.. Love the features of the 04x but not the picture quality so may try another brand VRX.
I ordered v3.3 to replace the v2.1 that was in it (not sure if came with it or the second one I ordered) the other is v3.2. Is v3.2 good or I need another v3.3?

When my Google with AV in Needs a Battery does the Module needs an extra battery to ?
Thanks for the video! Any chance you tested this module in the HDZero goggles?
Unfortunately no. I don't own those goggles.

Great overview of the new skyzone module. 👍😎

This might actually be alright for people that want to use analog with their dji goggles , but don't want to mod their goggles...

Hey Albert, will this work with any goggles with av in? Thinking of getting some better dvr for my old skyzone 02.
Yeah, should work with anything with standard analog AV-in.
@@AlbertKimTV thx man!

Researching ground stations 👍🏻
Hey, is this an upgrade if you already have steadyview 3.3 module? I have the new sky04x pro goggles
I think the X is just the 3.3 with ELRS backpack and case but already built.
I didn't see any noticeable difference between the two. What am I missing here?

Does it fit on the Cobra Goggles?
I think it will if you remove it from the case.

Is v3.2 good or I need another v3.3?
I've never used V3.2 so you'll have to ask Skyzone support this question.
