I've loved all the towns, villages you've visited stew, architect is beautiful, friendlier people than we've been lead to believe and welcoming. I think wherever you go stew, you show us by being just yourself (positive, you go with the flow, polite, respectful, and you're a tryer lol) that all comes back to you. Does look beautiful Stu (but cold lol), love the old towns and bridges and water everywhere looks idyllic. I agree that globalism is ripping the heart out of the community, so hard for small businesses to compete and survive in the UK. Large store with high staff turnover and even self serve aren't the same. No personal touch, no place to hear the local gossip lol. Terrible the way things are going, I hope this sinister plan fails and we revert back to those days.
You should go to Albania, is super cheap, people are friendly, there are lots of things to see and places to visit. You need to hire a car thou from the airport and drive around. Hotels are cheap, 4 star hotels at £25 per night with breakfast. Food is like Greek food but 50% cheaper, lots of old world architecture. I strongly reccomend it
