The story - "raped and murdered by a civic volunteer in the hospital". Is it really happened ? She is brutally bitten and the raped and then killed. Do she really goes to the seminar room for rest at 2 a.m. without any fear. It could also happened someone called her to that room on that time , where is here mobile records. If that criminal killed him alone , why she didn't resist him . It is impossible for him alone to tackle her. Her neck bone was broken it means dissociation of spinal chord , only known by the science backgrounds or by a karate trainee . 1.case :- Dr. Didi used rest in that room on her duty days which was noticed by that criminal and on that day he committed the crime. 2.case :- She was called by someone in that room and then the ragging gang bitten her brutally and leave her then the rapist arrives in the scene , when she asked him for help he does what he did. Or she is in her unconsciousness and he commits the crime. According to reports the blood stains ar in his shorts and shoes , then after the crime when he leaves the place , the above security guards did not notice him in such a way. At the ground floor the police and medical staffs are present for 24 hrs. Why she was murdered ? Did she know something big about the hospital ? All the threads are tiden up in one row . There should be a sting operation in the hospital. The unreveal truth will revealed.

Yes.Agree with this reporter madam. Its really decades studying MBBS/internship /MD/DM.Always reading, updating one self with latest changes, joining study centers, coaching centers/online classes preparing for competitive exams.Again have to join primary health care centers if no job is acquired. By the time one starts earning ,the time isn't sufficient to lead a joyous holiday or occasion. The government has to do something for MBBS/MD students. Creating job opportunities. Increasing their pay package. Providing facilities in rural/urban areas to overcome /avoid ghastly incidents. Also ensure their protection safety and security. Providing them separate washrooms ,restrooms/and overall security and protection. Create more medical colleges and more seats as well as jobs.Already they are facing problems due to paper leakages. Its tiresome constantly studying and preparing for NEET.The government should consider all these factors and help them out.The most creamy layers go abroad for further studies and settle down there. The rich having big hospitals, are trained by kith n kin and join their own hospitals. The corporate hospitals absorb all the creamy candidates and pay more and extract more work as well. What about others?who do not have any familial doctors ,or background with doctors profession. Government should take positive impact and consider the plight of medical officers/doctors as a whole.

How The father of the 31-year-old doctor, who was raped and murdered at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, received a phone call Friday morning informing him that his daughter had died by suicide. The accused might not be the actual rapist. and How convenient that the police found a Bluetooth headset right where the victim was. 150 ml of sperm means it could even be up to 10 men who raped her. And the fact that 300 goons came and destroyed hospital premises, including evidence, just the day before the CBI was going to start, means that the people involved had some kind of political influence. The college principal, Sandip Ghosh, is himself associated with a political party and was made the dean of another medical college the same day he resigned from RGK. Also, why is no one talking about the fact that the girl knows the racket? (Today, newspapers talk about adulterated medicine rackets, sex rackets, morphing images sold on dark websites, and drug rackets) happened in the college, which even the professors and dean knew about, as well as the government, but didn’t do anything, and the day of her murder, her car was broken into and destroyed. Maybe to look for the evidence she had collected about the racket? The woman's family has expressed suspicion that someone in the chest medicine department might be involved in the crime."We want an investigation into the entire chest department. Someone on the inside is involved," they told the media. People believe Mamata Banerjee's government, her police, college principal Sandip Ghosh and some intern doctors were involved in this incident.
India is asleep, and we keep pointing fingers at politicians. But let’s face the harsh truth: we are the ones who elected them. It’s time to wake up and stop pretending to be a global power. True strength isn’t just about money and infrastructure; it’s about values, integrity, and a society that stands for something more than hollow nationalism masked as capitalism. Here are some hard-hitting facts: Rape: India ranks 94th globally in reported rape cases per 100,000 women. Crime: We’re 69th on the global crime index. Bribery: India stands at 85th on the Corruption Perception Index. Safety: We rank 67th on the global safety index. Healthcare: 112th out of 195 countries. Press Freedom: 161st out of 180-an alarming position. Human Development: 132nd out of 191 countries. Air Quality: 179th out of 180-breathing poison, essentially. Hunger and Malnutrition: 107th out of 121, with millions going hungry. Gender Equality: We’re 127th out of 153, far from equality. We’ve lost sight of our spiritual and moral values, becoming mere puppets in a show of superficial power. It’s time to stop the facade and confront the reality of who we are and what we need to change.
It took long time. Paying high donations to get into medical College. Paying high fees sacrifice close to 10 years to be doctor and still being abused and assaulted by patients . This has to stop
I was in R.G. Kar hospital for 15 days with my dad who was in the icu. There were cockroaches in the rooms, bugs even in the icu. At night I wouldn't get sleep and would roam around. The worst part is there were zero restrictions, zero security guards. Either they are sleeping or gone for a smoke or drink. I even stumbled into places like the doctor's quaters, students quaters, morgue without anyone stopping me. I wasn't even trying to be conspicuous. I basically came to know every place of the hospital in those days as an outsider. This is the abysmal level of security there.
Same happened in France too recently an Australian woman was gangraped in France by 5 African men. Also 4 foreign tourists were r@ped in Indonesia this year. So rape is happening all over the world not only in India.
I visited India in 2006 and it was a complete shithole then…I can only imagine what it’s like in 2024. At the time I visited a little 10 year old girl was raped and killed not far from the hut I was staying in. I remember upon hearing the news I asked a baggage carrier “is this normal in the country?” and without batting an eye he said “very unusual…they usually rape them at 6 to 8 years old”. 😣 I packed my bags and left the country that night.
Thanks, Palki for raising the right set of issues which the medical fraternity, specially the young resident doctors have been facing for the last 2 decades. • Given the miniscule budget allocation for the health sector along with toxic/corrupt/politically influenced hospital administration, resident doctors are being exploited repeatedly. A junior resident who must deliver his/her duties without basic facilities - proper security, resting rooms for on-call/Night duty doctors, separate clean washrooms, manageable duty hours and most of all an administration which understands the plight and challenges of resident doctors. • A resident doctor in a government hospital has to work for inhumane hours along with their academic commitments, all for a peanut of a stipend. They are not even the permanent employees of the hospital, they are getting a stipend and not salary - yet they are being targeted by patients/families with lack of civic sense as they are the ones in the front line. • Another important point you raised is regarding the concept of “Bond”. It seems it is just another way for the government to make some money by extorting these students. They’ll give you posting to a remote area with no basic faculties while giving you peanut stipends and expects you to actually honour the Bond. I mean what sort of logic is that and if you are not comfortable and want to break the bond - you’ll have pay a hefty amount of money which many may not be able to pay. This is grave injustice towards the resident doctors. I wish more power to the doctors and wish absolute success on these protests and hopefully the main issues get addressed by the government and administration. India just can’t afford to have such an unsustainable working environment for the doctors - corrupt politicians/administration must be removed to bring any change.
As doctor consultent urologest. I cry hearing this story of young resident doctor. Their are animals living in covered of politicians in pak and india. This young doctor need justice.
Thank you, Palki. Thanks for bringing out this issue. I am a doctor in sixth decade of life. For some, I am at the peak of my career. Everyday I think, is this worth taking so much of pain? Shall I take an early retirement from the profession? When I discuss it with others, they say that I am doing a noble job of serving the mankind. But what's the purpose of this inhuman work environment and the expectations from the patients and the society.
Hospital is in area which is surrounded by peacefull communities ! I've seen this hospital crowded with them. Hence the accused might be guy as coverup

Completely agree! The national news is focusing on that civic volunteer. He is a pre-planned scapegoat. The investigation needs to uncover the real culprits, many of whom are already suspected by the local students.
Yes bro police are also involved in this, they knew this guy and used him as a scapegoat, The other thing is he went to the police barrack and slept in the morning and also he left his Bluetooth in the crime scene
It's a shame that Palki is showing it as such a small issue.

She did not talk about the rape and murder instead she talks a complete different topic 😂
Too much speculation and victim blaming.
this case is not about infrastructure but about women safety in this country

Here are some hard-hitting facts:
Rape: India ranks 94th globally in reported rape cases per 100,000 women.
Thanks!

This is horrible. You just lost a doctor that greatly contributed in your society. It is so sad

Call the new name for India as “Bharape”. It’s perfect!
This is first a rape problem & then a medical college problem. Both need to be addressed urgently!
