12:13 Thanks for the tip at how to win at floor pan Jenga. Just like yours, after I got it turned it almost fell in place. 👍🏻
Always Interesting to watch! I am an Armchair Enthusiast! NNKH got this channel right!
I wish I could give 2 thumbs up! Thanks for extra effort on "shootin the action", especially crawling around underneath!!
Cheers!
This is the car I hope to start on once all this passes, thank you for the content
I have also used weld through primer or a scratch awl to make witness of flange perimeters. Good stuff.
Excellent video. Thank you taking the time to video the actual work.
Thank you for watching!!
Guy is extremely talented
Hole punch is best tool I've bought had it for years
Thank you for sharing this video!
Nice to see an action video ! Awesome tool for making holes...
Thanks for the pointers;very helpful!!
I just did a full floor on my 69 Mach 1. Had to remove the driver door and side rear wing window. Kept the dash in, but also have a tilt steering which I tilted fully up. Definitely the way to fix a floor.
I need to replace the floor pan on my 70 Mach 1 and I’m thinking of doing it myself. Unfortunately I’ve never done anything like this before? Would you say this is something a beginner could tackle?
I'm hopefully picking up a 70 coupe Sunday. Fastbacks are just too expensive for me. I hope everything goes smoothly and I come home with a Stang.
Nice good luck!
Valuable information! 🤙🏼
Ever think about panel bond glue for the floor, gives it a 100% contact and corrosion resistant
Awesome video mate. Really learnt a lot. Keep up the great work.
Great stuff! Some time show us how you plug weld it in and or what you use equipmen, wire size etc.. Thanks!!!
Will do, thanks for the feedback
Alway .023-.025 for body work!
Question, I noticed you didn't hole punch the lip of the floor pan which attach to the inner rocker panel. Just curious how you weld that in? Thanks enjoy your videos, fred
Good idea to install one-piece floor pan and build that sucker up from there. If you build it up correctly and the new owner keeps it garaged and clean no reason car can't last many years.
clean shop , great job
nice work
Does the hole punch only work on the outside edge on the sheet metal your working on ? Or can you punch stuff out in the center areas too
Great work, love the videos.
Mr Peterson young the guy that you told Libra quarter of an inch on a floor pans for strength I ended up leaving a half inch on that transmission tunnel now then I used navel jelly as far as inside my frame rails but what should I put on the existing metal to preserve better than the naval jelly as far as the overlap and my frame rails and is there something I should put on them
would you ever use a panel adhesive for any part of this type of assembly? Factory assembly of pickup beds uses a lot of panel adhesive. I'e used it my self for parts of collision repairs.
No, I always like to weld everything
PPE BUDDY USE YOUR GLOVES 😊
Really incoming your videos and great job where are you located and how much do you charge I'm getting ready to do mine
So I'm trying to fix one of these up and it's about $440 for one of these do you have a website or place you get them for cheaper? Also great video learned lots
Next weeks project is putting the 82 GT floor into my '68 coupe. I refuse to pay $600+ for a Chinese floor pan that has a 4 month waiting list. #GODOWORK
I see the convertible pan is good for 1965-1973. 1969 through 73 says the front is slightly different. Have you tried putting the convertible one in a 69/70? Also .....do you know if the 64-1/2 is different ? Thanx for the videos. Gives me confidence that I can do this. I have been afraid to do something like this because of intimidation.
Convertible one would fit 69-70 but 71-73 is completely different
Which/who's floor pan did you use please?
Usually dynacorn
Do you always use new door shells
Usually yes unless a customer wants to save the old ones
I can't believe you don't have a lift
Some day soon
Are you accepting any new work from New jersey 1969 mach 1
You can email resto65@yahoo.com and see about openings
Do you use weld thru primer in those plug weld areas?
Its tough to find a good weld through primer anymore
Peterson Restorations i recommend using weld thru ll from 3m, that stuff is great, but you have to shake it 2 mins before every use and store the can upside down because the elements tend to separate inside it
You can buy copper weld thru In UK good stuff
Going to have to learn to proofread myself a little better it was supposed to say I'm the guy you said leave a quarter inch on that transmission Tunnel look also how far do you put your spot welds because I put them every inch
Probably an inch or inch and a half
how do you keep body from twisting without a floor
The inner structure won’t let it twist at this point
As a guy that painted cars for a living… please don’t use sharpies… use a wax pencil. It’s easier for everyone and you won’t wonder what looks like a line bleeding through your paint in 4 years
