They are very adept at hiding in plain sight. they are like a ninja. They are living Just on the edge of neighborhoods now. they hide out in places that inacsesable to people,,, like overgrown fields,, behind building, etc. they creep out after dark. we have some here that built a den behind the playground. They are Really Hard to catch, almost impossible. Our little town is trying to figure out what to do,,,,it just had pups and the pups are wandering too,,, by the time we call the police,, they are far gone.
Your post reminded me, when I lived in Mission Beach, San Diego. The seagulls would land on the streets in traffic, because some jerks decided to throw their fast food leftovers out the window. I sreamed at a car, making a u-turn, slowly crushing the birds. I yelled" Stop, you are going to run them over, they kept going. I screamed "you killed them, running them over".The driver, some girl, (it's a college town, would think they had a brain). Nope, she smiled and they drove off. Seared in my memory. Damn "some" humans.
whatever she said, She does not understand coyote, none of the people there seem to. OK,, simple, They prowl at night,, they're there due to a source of food,,, probably first trash cans and no one sees them, they are very hard to see at night, Completely different, one could walk past you at night and you would not know,,, That's how quiet they are. Next,,, they caught a cat, NOW,, they're out there day and night looking for cats. /// i live in LA. Before ,,,not at,,,,,, before sundown put your pets inside and lock them in. cuz,,,, the coyotes are Listening,, OK,,,, no more pets outside, don't let anybody have open trash bags or any way they can get at your trash,, everyone. They will look for a long time and then they go back to the mountains. honestly, you cannot have a cat outdoors EVER, or it will repeat. Good luck, take it serious, and the kids have to be watched every second
Coyotes haven't been forced out of their natural habitats. They've been thriving in in man made habitats and hopped from one urban area to another. Their natural range increased exponentially and now covers most of North America
They are within designated territory….Suggest the so called developers find another career and the drought restrictions removed so all wildlife including hawks etc benefits from their need of water and that brings restoration to the fire flood mud devastated areas.
I wish peopl would listen--- The Situation is like having hungry, feral Pit Bulls invading your neighborhood. they do not differentiate between a furry cat and a small child. i don't want a small child to lose their life,,, treat it as if these are wild, feral pitbulls. //
No water no food resources and were living in their community What is the problem well no water no watering of lawns no wild rabbits any longer etc., How about demanding the laws once responsible where OUR elects knew there were monies allocated to assist wildlife….the California cougars are starving and dehydrated same for bears bobcats skunks fox possums etc all are needed to keep our communities clean of things we humans don’t see and where are the fire mud flood areas being replenished to help them remain safe and in their habitat…? Get another developer out there to profit from irreplaceable land ….
You do take that risk when you make a pet an outdoors ones
Lily Grace ❤
That's weird. Coyotes in that area. Those animals really travelled far from the mountains

They’re hungry and thirsty. Maybe some water sources for the animals so they don’t come near homes.
Well she's a patriot.😒
Probably eating the fast food trash that everyone throws on the ground at PLB

The coyote is armed with an ACME credit card and is considered dangerous yet amusingly inept and accident prone.

No matter what you do to discourage them, there’s always a graveyard nearby that they live in.
