    Thanks for that awesome video my bookshelf came out NICE. I still wonder why that 2x12x8 was needed if we use only a small piece?

    Thanks so much! I want one but they're so expensive on Amazon. Building my own would be much more cost effective and fun.

    Great video. Question: what is that you are doing immediately before drilling in the screws - are you countersinking? Also, is that some kind of varnish you are applying before the stain? Thanks!

      @Badfunkyj 9 місяців тому +1

      Doesn’t look like anyone responded, but I’m fairly sure that’s a nail gun and he’s shooting a little finishing nail into it before screwing… just for stability so that it doesn’t get cocked over while trying to drill in screws and hold the shelves perfectly perpendicular at the same time

    Question: the supplies list mentions brackets. Where are these used in the build? Or are they for attatching it to the wall to avoid tipping?

    Hey man, could you have glued the entire thing together and be confident it will hold weight? Wondering why you screwed the L shapes together but then used glue to attach it to the large board

    • @watcherick4433
      @watcherick4433  3 роки тому +1

      Exactly there are some books really heavy.. the L needs screws because of the need to resist the friction of the weight of the books.

    • @deviaterev
      @deviaterev 2 роки тому +1

      The glue wouldn't hold against the end grain in the t's. The screws are needed
