    That part at @17:17 hit hard. "Agencies aren't media buyers anymore.. they're like business consultants". I'm new to this game. Was expecting ads manager lingo and instead heard more accounting/biz ops info. I'm def interested in learning more about that side. Seems like that's where the puck is moving

    The point about agencies, buying their clients businesses, sounds a lot like what Amazon does based on the data they have of consumer brands. They can market and sell better than any e-commerce website out there.

    Love this one. Mirrors a lot of my own thoughts and experiences with DTC brands spending like drunken sailors and expecting impossible growth numbers and their desired MER. The amount of 7 to 8 figure brands that I work with that don’t know their numbers and don’t understand that running good google and meta campaigns won’t magically fix everything is staggering.

    This was a good one. Learned a few things. I just started doing some consulting too -- mainly googles ads consulting. It's good money and a lot less stress. I don't think guy is the new John, but he does have better hair.

    MER is the only way to look at this. None of these platforms are great at attribution. You need to look at everything as a whole - how much money you put in and what you get out of it and if that makes you profitable or not as a business. You can tweak and improve and refine making your campaigns more efficient. It's very difficult to attribute especially when customers are on so may platforms and each platform likes to "say" that attribution belongs to "me".
