Hi im possibly a bit late but lack of fuel will NOT cause heat in a diesel engine, to much diesel or lack of air will cause heat. Petrol on the other hand is the opposite.
After consulting and sending the piston off to 2 engine shops specializing in Diesel engines, the consensus for the piston scarring is still partially from lack of fuel, extended use of ether and high rpm cold start. This is all in line with the history and hours on the tractor, 10k+ hours and it was the tmr mixer tractor on a 200+ cow dairy farm since 1980 in Wisconsin, it’s lived a hard life
Hey man, unfortunately part 2 footage ended up going through our baler and got lost, I do plan to make an update video at some point on that and the rest of the projects. Tractor went back together great, I reworked the cab to make it a bit more comfortable and it’s been working all winter feeding cows. How’s your 1210 working for you?
@Southwest WI Farm so far so good! It's my second 1210 and it's a handy little tractor! I actually just come home with a 1410 parts tractor today if you need anything! I have a bad tractor buying habit lol
@@coryrupnow6559 damn that’s cheap, the guy wanted about that for the turbo and pump when I asked. I’ll message you on fb about some parts I’d be interested in if you’re gonna part it out
