Nice that this remaster keeps the smooth and quick gameplay mechanics of the original version, without trying to introduce a bunch of tedious "realistic" elements everywhere: pick up items by walking over them, reload without any reloading animations, climb ladders by just walking into them without using any hands, and so on. This is something that a lot of game developers don't understand: video games aren't real life, and realistic details usually just feel tedious and distracting, unless it is clear from the start that those details will be relevant, like in the "Metal Gear" games for example.
Intriguing. The developers made a lot of interesting choices here, some of which are good, others that are bad. The lack of fog makes the level look way smaller than I remember. Enclosing the level with a fence makes sense, but why not place individual trees between the fence and the "forest wall"?
Back then, when we first beheld our eyes on this MASTERPIECE NOBODY COMPLAINED ...mind you , we evolved from weak ass SEGA genesis graphics (2d) then, to badass (3d) at that time NOONE Ever seen a game that advanced ...
@@huhhah6757 I'm referring to this remake, not the original. The original had fog and didn't have those mountains, so the area seemed absolutely vast. I had this game shortly after launch and it literally made me want to be a game designer, which I eventually ended up becoming. So yes, it left a pretty substantial impression on me.
@@jakobholgersson4400 i don't think nothing new was added. it's simply using higher res textures and as for the fence, as nothing new is added I guess they used the polygons that define the map and used them in a slightly smaller scale to draw the fence. if you notice, it's completely parallel to the trees. so it's the same polygons with different textures again.
Really a remaster that have nice ultra graphic, but same gun mistake. Bolt action sniper shooting lazer, no using scope just ugly zoom ( not so mad without Iron sight).
The goldeneye game we deserve, stunning
The semi auto bolt action sniper rifle 😂
Joking aside, love this game as much!
Left handed rifle being shot right handed too.
I think that's the cutest thing about GoldenEye is the bolt action rate of fire

Damn, bond is REALLY fast working the bolt on that rifle.

This level needs fog

My guess is cause it wasn't totally finished.

Game made me feel sick playing when I was a kid and watching this remastered game play makes me even more sick ....
You must just be a sickly person
I swear that the sound seems a little bit delayed. Probably as a result of the increase of the frame rate?
I would love to play multiplayer with this remastered version.
Thank you. That is crazy because it is like that I remember the game was.
Could they not be bothered to add Bond's left hand holding the longarms?
I don't think you need to equip keys to open doors
No grenade launcher action?
One thing wrong with the sniper rifle. It appears to be a bolt action gun. If it's a bolt you can't fire in rapid succession.
My favorite gun so far is the left handed bolt action semi automatic sniper rifle being held in the right hand. 0:37
Same as in James Bond NightFire, where the the bolts are on the left but held right handed.
This is the best track in the game
I'd argue that aztek is
@@Smoloko123 they are both top tier for me
runway ftw
I don't like that the player disappeared before the camera went into the head like it does on the N64
Im sure they'll fix that when the Remaster drops in a few months
I know the map like a glove but the CCTV's are missing
If i had known that kids would settle for indie games today. I would have never supported gaming so much during its golden age.
It's unfortunate that we aren't getting this instead we are getting the original but oh well. Mind as be grateful for it
So this the Xbox 360 version Xbox live Arcade?
Nice Goldeneye Video 👍

the game should be 4:3 not widescreen
nice
Noice
No Ice
Lots of ice
well i wouldn't go so far as to call it a remaster. more like they cleaned it up a bit.
N64 !!!
No sweet sweet pause music? Boo. Looks great though.
