22:10 anyone else remember back in like a19 maybe early a20 when people complained about stealth not working and TFP swore there was no such thing as a "trigger room"?
Nope
I remember them saying that as well. Yet I could with almost 100% repeatability do a POI in perfect stealth, maxed out skills, clear trash as I'm walking one step at a time and STILL spook all the Zombs at certain points. No matter what. There were absolutely trigger rooms.
there are 100% trigger rooms, and stealth is almost useless nowadays. even silenced an smg triggers the entire room of enemies after stealth killing the first zombie
Sure do and now it's almost ALL triggers and it sucks giant donkey balls imo.
@@jonaitkins6047 maybe you were playing Roblox back then?
Never forget the power of the arrow to the knee. If you’ve got archery 3, that’ll slow those feral and rad zombies down considerably if you can’t kill them in one hit
my shotgun just does that lol, it has a stun effect
Your post is post modern poetry
Hurray, really loving this series Prebuilt.
Thanks for sharing
21:23 love the emotion here. Surprise, shock, and amusement all wrapped into one. You might be vary monotone most of the time but it just make's at all the better when you have a more energetic reaction!
I remember playing insane nightmare in God mode for fun, with a T6 M60 and 1000's of AP rounds, went to the wasteland at night, not horde night mind you, and spent about 20 minutes
IRL shooting 100's and 100's of z's while standing in one place. When it was "over" during the day, I was standing in a crater, about 10 blocks wide, and about 4 blocks deep. For science
are you insane? o.o
Regular uploads for a series In a new alpha is a recipe for success. I've been watching every episode on release and I'm clearly not the only one. Your guides are insightful, the series is engaging, keep up the food work and you will take your place amongst the hierarchy of 7dtd content creators. Pretty good job so far
I love how they took the mushroom house and turned it into a whole new POI dungeon crawl-type of place. There's a couple of old orginal Hub City buildings they did that to as well. Seen one of those small pyramid-roof houses converted over too. Some of them are 10+ years old.
The advantage is it has a higher number and arguably a prettier color, we must crave the higher number, the game says so. I am really enjoying the more positive Iz, or at least the attempt at it. Very entertaining, thank you.
5:20 That nurse pulls off pretty damn elegant bob and weave against that bat.
"How did this dog get up here." In my play-through, I am sure I saw a dog float up to the top of a bus. Now I'm just waiting for TFP to give zombie bears the ability to fly.
I wonder how long until FunPimps make it so you can only use 1 elixir a day.
The Fun Police strikes again.
or just adjust the price. it used to be too expensive, now its too cheap
@@psilo5623I think they adjusted the price because of how progression has changed
@@IzPrebuiltif the unfun pimps remove explosives or nerf them significantly I am blaming you and you alone Mr. Prebuilt 😝 nice vid btw
I am not opposed to nerfs in games, but I think an exponentially increasing price for each elixir you buy would be a fair change.
Great strat with the Elexir! Definitely going to use that one!
30:40, if I am not mistaken the trader inventories do not change when you have instant changes to the trader stage, it does a check each inventory reset
So the way the trader stage mechanic works (from my testing) is that traders have a big set of Shit™ and it'll vary from low tier stone and wood level gear all the way up to like gyrocopters.
Then your trader stage is applied like a little paper cut out of just the things in your trader stage limit. So if you're mid level the stone shit will be hidden and the gyrocopters will be hidden. Then when you get any kind of trader stage increase (i.e daring adventurer) it'll move that little paper cut out up to show the higher level gear.
I could be wrong but i tested it by basically selling Jen a 4x4 part in a test world and going up in level and daring adventurer until it actually allowed me to buy it back, all done in the same in-game day with XP commands and such.
I sold her it at level 1, and slowly incremented my level and trader modifiers. Once i hit level 63, with the T4 complete modifier I was then able to open her inventory and see the 4x4 part I had sold her. Again, all without a trader reset.
@@IzPrebuilt Interesting, I didn't think they would even hide the merchandise you sold the trader. I misunderstood the way it works now but now that you mention it I guess that kind of makes sense as a "I have it, but you don't deserve to buy it" kind of logic. Thanks for the info.
“Wants me to go down, but I’m not sure I want to go down.” Sounds like most girlfriends I’ve ever had…
loving this series
Throwing the dynamite in the middle would uncover it. Do like 3-4 and it will create a big crater 🎉. Great episode like always.
From what I remember correctly, that Working Stiff warehouse has a guaranteed Radiated Wight spawn, I remember G,N, & S got the same spawn in one of his playthroughs at the same or less game stage.
21:24 I got caught in that explosion once, I wrenched the forklift and the barrels that it was holding up fell and detonated the whole damn place. Survived though, somehow.
huh. that's an interesting trick with the elixirs, those tier 5 bundles ARE pretty powerful, and to get two of them could definitely get you some of the pstuff you need.
I think Daring Adventurer is good enough that if you can make a functional build with it you should have it maxed. I just used the elixir to go 10 int, 7 str, 4 agility. Nerdy and Cigar ofc. Since it boosts trader stage on top of getting a second quest reward it is very nice to have.
There's something about your series that makes me want to play 7DTD but then I remember about your Desert Ranger series and nah feck playing the game I'll just watch...
Lol why what happened?
Well, I've known about how the Explosive Barrels can destroy buildings for awhile. One of Capp's old test videos was of him attempting to bring down Dishong Tower, and he used nothing but cars and Explosive Barrels in that attempt. At the time, it wasn't successful, because Dishong is too big for the top of the building to be affected, or fully load in, but that was a lot of Alphas ago, and he's been musing that he might try it again, since it's been awhile.
@IzPrebuilt if your going to use this looting trick you might as well take it to the extreme. Save all of your magazine bungles. And while under your Darring Adventurer perk min max for possible useful books like vehicles. Only add and max out for skills your looking for then reset.
this is not a bad idea, by 'skewing the loot table' you could setup your perks to most-likely give you the books you want out of the crafting bundles - though in exchange you have to NOT use your crafting bundles until you use the strat, so you will not be unlocking any recipes anytime soon as you stock up on crafting magazine bundle boxes. It is a good idea.
The buttons being necessary to actually spawn the zombies in is really dumb and kind of a slap in the face. Make them more aware, make them more hidden, if thats even possible, give them more hp. Whatever you want to do to increase the challenge of actual physical zombies that exist in the world. Do not make them incorporeal until you push a button, or maybe you teleport them in? Thats a slap in the face to someone trying to solve your puzzle. Thats a rookie dungeon master move.
*Great job*
Since forgetn elixers are so cheap you could prob use two if you went mining for the mining perks. That way you leave a whole lot of points left over for other stuff when you arent mining
I can say for sure that as long as you don't mind dragging out the early game that maxing out daring adventurer before you spend any other points is well worth it. At least as long as you are doing trader quest for the majority of the daytime at least. Ammo is never an issue and I'm able to afford buying vehicles and work stations.
30:33 Daring adventurer gives you better quest rewards, better barter gives you a better inventory. You didn't take any points into that at Jen's, so there shouldn't have been any changes.
It even says so in the tooltip of the perk but you would have to look at the level itself, not the perk.
Edit: Having full military/leather armor with full perk and fittings actually makes you move faster than normal. You get 75% reduction, so your whole set gives you 5% penalty, customized fitting mods(which can't be used on cloth) give 3% a piece. So you end up with 10% more mobility. You're 8% louder though if you got full adv. mufflers and stealth boots. It is a skillpoint-sink though.
1. Better barter does NOT give you better inventory anymore. That was removed in alpha 21. Daring adventurer gives you better inventor it even says so in the tool tip of the perk. In Alpha 20 better barter did give a better secret stash but the secret stash does not exist in alpha 21.
2. Daring adventurer does NOT give you better quest rewards, it gives you 20% more money and +10, 20, 30 and 40 to your trader stage equating to 10, 20, 30 and 40 levels worth of trader stage. The final rank will let you pick 2 rewards though. In alpha 20 it would give you up to 5 quest reward choices but this was removed and now all quests always have 5 options.
3. the mobility bonus from military and leather armor will say 110% mobility but you are hard capped at 100% mobility in reality, you need actual run speed boosting effects like steroids and megacrush to go above 100% speed.
The extra mobility is simply wasted above 100% BUT the extra buffer will allow you to move at standard speeds when slightly overencumbered or injured.
Feel free to test those things for yourself if you don't believe me. This is literally my job, i know what i'm doing.
Buried Supplies: Are you following the distance sensor? Once you activate it seems those green numbers show exact distance to the chest.
I did that Pass n Gas Refinery the other day and did the same thing with the barrels. Lol. Luckily it was just a fetch
I was able to full stealth clear it on like, day 2 just a few days ago. It's actually a pretty good place for an early game temporary base because of how strong the outer fence is and how close it is to the trader.
22:30
yes, dogs can absolutely climb ladders I watched one do it yesterday
BS, are you sure it wasn't riding on top of another zombie that can climb?
@@stevdor6146 I dont believe so
just when you thought you got lucky and the quest wasn't in the dessert.
I can confirm dogs can climb ladders up, I have a single ladder based hoard base, and they climb up all the time.
Take a Scot to show a sneaky trick involving getting so pissed you forget everything....Twice.
shit, i'll drink to that
I always put my bow X-hairs where I THINK it will be a direct hit np, and....missing completely. Why I dislike bows to much and switch over to X-bow at 1st chance.
You might be the best 7d2d youtuber
I much prefer crossbows to bows. They tend to act more like the guns, less arrow fall-off and issues like that.
I do too, If i get a compound crossbow i'll take it over my compound bow. I just didn't bother with an iron crossbow out of laziness lol.
@@IzPrebuilt 😆 Relatable.
@@yvels3685 That's the thing about my gameplay, I am playing EXTREMELY lazily because I don't find the vanilla game very challenging, even on insane nightmare. While it might seem like i'm "try harding" or even min-maxing (which i was with the forgettin' elixer trick because i wanted to test) but I really am just kinda floating along playing with half my brain turned off. Which makes for better viewing anyway because I actually almost die sometimes.
I am rarely if ever pushed into actually trying in vanilla 7dtd. Even with loot turned down to 25% and feral sense on. I don't play with those settings because i find them annoying and I try to minimize the annoyance i have to deal with in videos because I sound even more annoyed than usual.
And a lot of my mental energy is dedicated to talking and explaining as i go. Usually when i just play on my own "for fun" I pretty much turn sound off, blast music and actually try hard and I'm usually like level 60 by this stage of the game, and i have much better gear and stuff. That doesn't make for very entertaining content though, a guy not talking and just feverishly try harding 7dtd in what can only be described as a trance.
So yeah, you ARE seeing me playing lazy lol.
I tried playing insane nightmare because of this series, it did not go well. I have no idea how you make it look this easy 😅
6:38 - I'm pretty sure the zombies don't spawn on opening the chest; they spawn on taking all the loot (or the supplies, specifically). You can take a second to see what you got, then "take all" and haul booty.
yes, is more like the supplies in your inventory what triggers the spawn
either way, it doesn't matter to look before what is in the chest, usually is meh, I mean, many of the tier 3 buried supplies have worse loot than a decent tier 1 house
this is true, but the longer you spend looking at the contents of the box before you take all, the more time you allow the wandering horde to close in while your are 4 meters deep in a pit.
In my play through I've got Spear Parts for days, and no Rife Parts; leaving me with my sad quality 1 Hunting rifle despite being upto quality 2 Levers.
Don't cut out the loot bag opening 😢
How did you get the mini bike already I've only got them bicycle and I'm on day 21
Anyone know if a legendary weapon is guaranteed for tier 6 or 5 completion? I might have missed it, but when I got max for Joel, he didn't give me one. I was really hoping for a legendary.
i commented this on one of your videos,i have been using this method since the beta
What beta? the game never left Alpha 💀
@@stevdor6146 alpha 21 beta
Hey IzPrebuilt or anyone, I see you put your dew collectors where zombies can't get to them, problem is I put 6 collectors on ground level next to my crafting base, but I surrounded them with a fence of railings 2 high. Are they relatively safe? I'll upgrade the fence to concrete soon.
I have 4 in front of my crafting base and it has nothing to protect it and it’s been like 30-40 day+ without zombie damaging it
Can i ask please, why do you build in attic , thanks and how if possible
They changed the game stage multiplier and the pine forest was nerfed down from 1.2 to 1. I went back into the pine forest to fight day 140 horde and my game stage went from just over 1,000 in the snow biome down to 560.
pine forest multiplier has always been 1.0 , not sure why you thought it was 1.2
@@stevdor6146 It used to be 1.2 for every biome at one time. Couldn't tell you which alpha that was.
@@stevdor6146 It used to be when you were in the pine forest you could go outside from your base and snipe 10-15 zombies every night. You don't see that now and you do when you're in the snow biome.
I feel like it's not explained in the skills descriptions, but how do the intellect skills affect crafting magazine loot tables? It seems like half of them are tied to advanced engineering - forge ahead, repair tools, electrician, and traps. Anyone test this?
I haven't tested it, but there is a way to figure it out - look at the crafting skill you want to increase, the description will tell you which perks you should add points to if you want to increase the chance of finding that type of magazine in the world. like for example "Wiring 101" for learning electrical recipes, if you click that 'skill' in the description for it it should tell you like "increase levels of Electrocutioner perk and Advanced Engineering perk will increase the odds of finding this skill book"
a weird relationship is that "lockpicking" skill in the agility tree increases the chance of finding Forge Ahead, because Lockpick recipe is like tier 3 in the Forge Ahead magazine series, right before/after cement mixer i think.
What mode shows the red zombie dots on your compass. Sorry I've only played the game for 2 weeks.. late bloomer ;)
got degeal from jen t5 and army gear but didnt have 4th point yet :( so i chose degal but not sure if it was worth. sadness. also did t3 i think or t4 Buried treasure it lead to snow and 8-9 rads f spawned and died horribly was great never doing a digging quest again.
You taught me everything about 7dtd, i watch every video, i observe and study the precision that you execute when you make insane nightmare seem easy. I must say im quite dissapointed with your choice of map where every quest takes 2km.
Just make new seeds until you get a good one 😆
The MP feels like making little damage to ferals. HE or even better AP ammunition solves that. HE is pretty neat with headshots, but works less well on zombies with helmets
It definitely needs a drum magazine, a silencer and a fore grip :) if theres a 4th slot also a laser sight. then you can hip fire headshot em on the move from over 50 metres away :D
**what are you even going on about with those abbreviations?** MP = military police? HE = High Explosive = as in the rocket ammo for Rocket Launcher.
did you mean to say HP? which used to be interpreted as Hollow-Point, but TFP renamed it to HiPower.
Because Hollow point would be even less effective against armor, but in the current A21, HiPower still does more than regular ammo even on armor, just no armor penetration.
@@stevdor6146 MP = machine Pistol
HE = HP, sry my bad
HP into unarmored head makes decent damage, also on ferals, at least it feels like that
9.8 is like very bad rolls for lv6 military armor, i guess.
I honestly forgot you had made this Permadeath. I've only seen you die once, and that was the previous Alpha 21 series where it was Bad Juju. That would've sucked, making it permadeath and dying like that.
Great series.
Do you have a list of mods you use? I'm mainly interested in how you've recoloured /accented the inventory with a dark grey and black background but curious on anything else you may use.
I'm not using any mods. The inventory colour is from using the UI slider on the UI menu in the settings.
Oh! I never even thought to check there.
Thanks mate.
@@Deagessame, this was useful
I like the dynamite trick better. I'm sure the fun pimps will nerf the forgetting elixir.
How does the trader tier work ?
I love how all the youtubers play this game and say that stealth is broken or that they'll try stealth right after jumping from the third story. Everybody and their mother runs in steel armor which makes noise. You can't be stealthy when your clothing makes noise for you. You can be stealthy in this game, but you kinda have to have a build around it. I stick to cloth armor, mostly since I can't stand speed penalties. If I go with any other armor piece it will be the Military Stealth Boots and use all the mods I can to make it worth it. Mostly not though.
Honesty a breath of fresh air to have a 7dtd content creator whos a lot younger, seems like the game is most geared to older folk which isnt bad mind you but its hard to enjoy a lot of creators when their comedy they have is geared towards a older audience.
What kind of ancient comedy are these 'older' creators doing, Vaudeville acts? Slapstick?
@@theritchie2173 if you watched people like glock9 thats more of what I mean, which again is not a Jab at him he's a cool dude.
@@Thundeelord2009 whats ur problem with glocks humor? Like how do you consider it for "older" people? What even defines "old person comedy" that isnt "god my wife sucks" comedy, which he doesnt do. Hes not even old lol
@@meeserbaker ok its clear my word choice is not doing me many favors so I'll say this instead yeah? Maybe it's not old comedy, his jokes do not land with me personally. Better?
@@Thundeelord2009 lmao, I guess. Its not in your taste. I get that. I was just wondering more specifically what you meant. Cuz the only thing I could think of that would be "geared towards an okder audience" would be the swearing but I didnt ask if that was it since prebuilt swears pretty carelessly (in regards to UA-cam's rules of demonitization) too.
Is the calling that one zombie kenny cuz he looks like ken but barbie dumped him and turned to meth? Lol or the sexualization of jen? Or is it just his jersey boy degeneracy identity that doesnt sparkle with you? I'm not mad lol I'm curious.
I love going full inteligence (9 + 1 using nerdy glasses. the best glasses)
I just try to rush daring adventurer for that 2X reward, since every so often you get forced to choose between 2 really good options.
Did you not know that walking on garbage in houses makes noise and wakes up the zombies in the room? You 'sneaked' across some garbage then complained that everyone in the room is awake. Simply remove the garbage on the ground and you make no noise.
8:41 "MOAR Customized fittings" i am positive that there is a secret mechanic to in the game, once you buy an item you have a +100% chance to find the same item in loot within 10 minutes. just piss in the face
19:35 a Q5 claw hammer, at 50% health his worth 315 dukes, presumably is worth over 600 dukes at full health. Not going to say it is a "fast money maker" but if you needed some spare change you could always cram 3 spare mods into a Q5 tool and get 2000 dukes.
23:59 "cannot double wield them" how has this NOT been added to a modded version of the game yet? this sounds like one of the most-desired features from the community, to have like left click left-handed weapon fires, right click right-handed weapon fires. would be soooo fun, which is why TFP wouldn't add it, but c'mon modding community, let's go!
A wandering horde, I think you mean wandering exp farm.
Is the best strategy with armor to just go padded until you find enough customized fittings and that one book that removes stamina penalties in combat? Only then load up on the perks and then switch armor types? (And after all the club books if you're going strength/heavy armor)
basically yeah
With the changes to how mod slots in items work is that still worth while. As tier 1 item cap out at 3mods if I understand thing right now.
@@WonderbreadXz Yeah it's not that big of a deal because you can't put fittings and muffles on padded armor anyway, so i just chuck banded armor plates, pocket mods and whatever weird mods i find on the padded armor.
@@IzPrebuilt
Yeah I've clearly been doing it backwards then, and I need to be perking into agility/parkour when i've been kind of wasting it into armor
Trigger rooms + stealth build = annoyed gamer
Imo smg5 is best gun in game. All hipfire mods make the crosshairs bigger when you zoom in and i know how much you hipfire in your builds
I prefer muzzle brake over fully auto mod personally with the testing ive done however with you on insane nightmare its probably more viable.
I have a question and is that when you kill a zombie, how do you regenerate your stamina?
When you level up a weapon-specific skill enough, getting kills with that particular weapon type will give you some stamina back.
Also the clubs book series batter up will eventually just completely refill your stam all the way each kill. I have it and can do an entire horde night without having to stop swinging once. Honestly just the points into clubs alone without the book series is insane on the stamina regen, its awesome kinda not having to rely on sexy t rex. As sad as it is its gone tho. Look on the back side of the chem station theres a rip sexyrex drawing
A couple alphas ago they changed most of the poi's to have the annoying floor drops out and you get stuck in a room full of zeds. Now it's these triggers and they are just as frustrating, annoying and sucky. No idea why these guys only seem to be able to go to extremes with changes and completely forget about a word called BALANCE. Btw UnFun Pimps - I want to clear out a poi my own way and not follow your stupid path. And how many of us actually believe that most of the poi zombies decided to hide in the ceilings or make a fake wall to hide behind?
You jump around like you play alot of TF2
Man, I really want to like this game, but the increased amount of "zombies suddenly hiding behind/above you when you enter a room" is really ticking me off. I keep dying because I suddenly get cornered out of nowhere and it sucks. Just let me sneak around the place, Fun Pimps.
They really nerfed stealth into the ground with all those trigger rooms.
well it is not likely that all the rooms were trigger rooms, but they make it easy for you to alert the non-trigger rooms during the day, without any perks into stealth. Going at night and with stealth perks, you will still set off occasional trigger room but more likely will experience less alerts in non-trigger rooms
Why the heck wont they add visible points so we know how many points we need for next tier to unlock, we just have to take a guess
I don't actually think they want us to do it the way I do it. Wouldn't be surprised if they removed it or nerfed it in future.
Do something slightly different than the InTeNDeD way
The "Fun" Pimps: UNACCEPTABLE
If not the points at least the ammount of same tier missions you are missing for it.
How do you manage to put out this much content for a game you don't like? Are you under contract and HAVE to play it? Does the cartel have your family and they're forcing you to play as a ransom? I don't get it and I'm genuinely curious.
Well I do it because it makes me shitloads of moneys. And the how? I just do it. I simply do the thing.
@@IzPrebuilt i respect the grind.
