I shave it all off and started growing it Natural
I have natural hair and that area still fell out. My stylist blended it so I didn't have to cut all my hair off and my trichologists gave me products and a regimen to follow to nurse it back to health. I also reduced stress and increased vitamin and mineral supplements.
I would love to know what her diet is. This seems like a nutritional deficiency (weak hair with a bad relaxer is a bad combo). Collagen peptide powder, vitamin D & unflavored bone broth. Iron? Reduce the amount of sugars and processed carbs in her diet and increase the amount of protein and whole foods. You did a good job Crystal.
Good point.
Frist thing see a good stylist beautiful job her hair looks so good 💞
Hi I've learned quite a bit watching a show about my hair. I would like to make an appointment with you I live in New York but if I could get an appointment with you I would come there. I've seen beautician here and they don't seem to be able to help me.
Also zinc and a zinc deficiency does cause hair loss. We do not naturally produce zinc in our bodies. Diet and supplements are beneficial.
@@nanlenwilliams4913 very true. I also take zinc. The sad part about it is, the supplements are rather inexpensive. You don’t have to have the best of the best. You don’t have to have many but a few basics. The collagen peptide powder and bone broth powder can get expensive but, we invest in a lot of stuff we don’t need. Make the investment and buy it in bulk. It’s cheaper in the long run. It grew my hair beautifully in 3 months. I also look like I got a facelift. Anywho, I believe if she tweaked her diet the hair would grown in strong there. Even if she doesn’t give up the carbs she can add these items to help her crown.
Take a break from the perms. Her hair is thin enough to do without a perm.
I was thinking the same thing; why put chemicals( no matter how gentle) in weakened hair? Why not give her hair a rest, no chemicals of any kind⁉️Educate me ⁉️🤔
@@daisyterry9508 Some customers want the relaxer. They are told the risks in the consultation and they still choose relaxer/perm/bleach. I have sensitive scalp and fragile hair due to genetics(blood disorder) and medication. So I avoid chemicals as much as possible. I also have allergic reactions to raw oils and butters and many store bought and salon professional products. Sometimes I at the salon and they use a different shampoo and I can tell straight away and I have to ask them to re-wash my scalp with something different. It all depends on what the client wants and what the client is willing to tolerate.
@@marleyhill34 I understand they are catering to the client, yet she is the professional⁉️Why not suggest a texurizer that is not as harsh? I am not putting the hairdresser down, she did her job! Yet, me a a lay person can see how thin and fragile the woman's hair is⁉️🤔
@@daisyterry9508 You cannot mix relaxed ends with texturized roots....that's a recipe for more breakage. I'm certain the stylist gave numerous recommendations and the client chose what the client thought was best for them and their lifestyle. My trichologists do not want me to apply heat to my hair or use brushes, However, I do but I do so sparingly. I have a press 4 times a year and get my hair trimmed straight and I brush my hair once every 4-6 weeks. I know this will cause some damage to my hair but I do it so that I can have an easier time styling my hair.
I agree, I suffer from female pattern hair loss and my hair is baby fine , I wouldn’t dare perm my hair anymore ‼️
I've had this happen before when I was still wearing relaxed hair. I used an aphogee treatment to stop the breakage immediately. Great job 👏
She is so naturally beautiful!! If I had her face shape I would NEVER let my hair grow. This style is perfect for her!! Queen's complexion is FLAWLESS!!! JOB WELL DONE! 💜💜💜
That cut makes her look like she does not have a care in the world, absolutely wonderful how you cover these flaws (shortcomings) us boomers will be bringing before you: Looks gorgeous.
I had very very long hair and I didn’t want to cut my hair off to start over but I did I was losing my crown. Do to medicine, my doctor changed my blood pressure medicine and I started using my hair growth serum and shampoo. Giving God all the Glory my hair is coming back. Ladies don’t panic if you are losing your hair. Follow Crystal instructions and Pray. They both work.
I’m losing hair from my crown due to blood pressure medicine as well ahhh it’s my worst nightmare !!! What serum do you use ?
@@SweetPPeaches yes I wanted to ask the same thing too right now I’m taking lisinopril hctz
@@Alcoholpad : Goddess Super growth serum. I really love it. And talk to you doctor about your medicine Lisinopril is not for you.
@@SweetPPeaches l am not sure if I am spelling it correctly but it’s Lisinopril. But I now use Elite Goddess, super growth serum. And shampoo and conditioner.
@@Alcoholpad Lisinopril, was the medicine I was on , But, it was bad for me. I got off and now my hair is coming back. Research it.
I agree with the comment-I cut off my hair and let just the natural growth happen with good shampoo and deep conditioner.
I didn't cut all my hair off. I let my stylist blend it and went to a trichologist.
Good morning Crystal!! Beautiful style!! This is happening to my son right now. He had C19 months ago and after he started loosing in the center of his head m. We’ve decided to cut it down and start fresh using all EHC USA products. Pray for us. He’s half Jamaican and his hair is what he had in common with his father who’s not here.🖤
Good job Crystal..
My hair was breaking/thinning in the crown. I tried every home remedy and my primary care general practitioner doctor tried 2 or 3 treatments. After that with no results, I went to see a trichologist. My hair was thinning and sore in the crown due to inflammation from stress, styling, products and vitamin deficiencies. So I stopped braiding my hair in cornrows and box braids with or without extension hair. I stopped using raw oils and butters. I started moisturising my hair daily with steam. I started shampooing and deep continuing weekly. I started taking more vitamins and working on in my stress. My stylist was amazing and he has always blended my crown area on my natural 4c hair but also when he flat irons it. It's easier to hide with my hair curly.
I love this style on her! This looks really good and hides the breakage very well.
Wow! You did a beautiful job!!! I pray health and healing for this beautiful sister!!❤️❤️
Thank goodness that she did not try to fix the breakage on her own. The short style suits her very well, but I know that if you are used to wearing your hair in a certain style or length a pixie is hard to get used to! But healthy hair is the best hair!
How proud must you feel to know that you just didn't do a professional job but made the lady feel good about herself, thank you for sharing your video ❤, Love from Texas 🥰
In the beginning I was able to comb my hair in a manner to mask it, but eventually cut it. I also visited a dermatologist. Later, I found out that I was deficient in a few vitamins.
You did an awesome job styling her hair. Excellent job!
I'm amazed 👏🏽 you blended the short spot. Her hair looks great.
Her hair turned out beautiful. I was on the edge of my seat with this one!😂😂 Very pretty.🤗
Oh yeah, that looks so good and natural. You can’t tell if she had an issue or not. Great job!!👍🏽
Oh my goodness this turned out so well! I can't believe the hair transformation! It looks gorgeous on her face ♥
She is so pretty, like the cut fit her head and face so well🤎
This is a true recovery! LOVE IT YES!
Her hair looks so healthy! You did a great job blending the crown of her head with the rest of her hair! 👍🏾
As always, excellent information and work. I did start having breakage in my crown after about 36 years of getting relaxers by licensed professionals only. Hair in the crown was only about 5 inches and the rest was past shoulder length. Dermatologist recommended it stop relaxing so I did. She administered the steroid shots and I have a full, long (past shoulder length) head of natural hair. I mostly do twist outs but get it flat ironed 3 times a year for a good trim.
Her hair looked really good. I enjoy your videos because I find them very informative. I think it is great that you consult with your clients about their particular hair journey. Great job!
I liked how you addressed the breakage quickly and well, sometimes it's a of changing your hair products on that person or asking questions about their health without being too personal but as a hair stylist it's important for us to know what's going on in the inside of your body in order to try to assess what's going on outside with the hair Thx
Gm crystal I love the way you cut your client hair, you know you rock!!!!
Wow, Crystal! You always outdo yourself. Her hair looks amazing!
Crystal as usual you did a wonderful job and got her to healthy hair start and God Bless all your client who have major hair problem and allow you to film them . Thank you ladies !
The model and hairstyle is beautiful. It fits her so well. Great job.
She is so lucky she came to you. You do such beautiful work.
You made what most perceive as a depressing moment and made it awesome and beautiful.
She looks beautiful! Great job....
Did my own last perm when I was 18. Hair fell out. Almost 2 decades later, a tiny balding spot in the middle and one on the bottom left corner. It was scarring alopecia. It was only noticeable to me. Had to do a couple of steroid shots, pills, special shampoo and oils. I would NEVER get another perm.
I am going to have stylist try this. My hair has broken off right now in the area too . I don't feel alone anymore. Thanks for sharing
After using a children’s relaxer in my hair. The first thing I did was cry. Just seen all that hair in my hand just was ridiculous. I rinse the relaxer out of my hair and continue to do what I normally do with the shampoo and conditioner. I still have a bald spot in that area but I just comb the hair that is left over that ball spot. I bought your hair and repair serum and it’s beginning to grow back.
Just wanted let you know that I was inspired by seeing you cut & correct damaged Hair. I grabbed a beautiful Wig that I made, and did another style to it. At first, I was just going to cut it up by using different methods of cutting techniques like: blunt, pivot point, & razor. I decided to create another style & it came out beautifully. I wish that I could show it to you, Crystal. 🙂 Your work is Awesome!!! I have 6 Manniquins that are bald, with full makeup & the 2 Wigs that I did makes all the difference. Thank you for inspiring me to get back into into the business. Haven't done hair in two years but,I keep my Cosmetology license up to date. God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This hits home for me. I had a stylist straighten my hair with products. She told me not to wash it for 3 days. After that time I washed it, and to my horror my long hair started falling out in huge clumps, especially in the front of my head. People thought that I had cancer because the fallout was so extreme. I called my stylist. She refused to refund her $450 charge, but said to come back and she would work with my hair. She lived 45 minutes away. This was no quick trip. I no longer had trust in her ability to salvage the situation because of her accusatory attitude blaming me for the problem (as if that was even a possibility on some reality scale), and the fact that she acted very strangely (drugs?) the day that she ruined my hair. I was beyond devastated! It took over a year and a half to see my hair start to make some real growth, during which time I became very depressed and reclusive because of my appearance. I purchased a lot of expensive products to try to regain my hair. I have seen a few beauticians since that time, but none of them were very concerned about handling my hair more gently than they would a regular client’s hair. I now cut and color my own hair. I won’t brag about it, because it looks pretty pathetic…but, the good side is that I actually have some hair to work with. I wondered if I was being very vain about this, as I know women who have lost all of their hair to cancer. But, my débâcle didn’t need to happen. I still fulfilled my regular duties, with speaking engagements, and was seen by a large portion of the public. Could I have worn a wig? Sure. But physically, I just couldn’t tolerate those. If hair is a person’s ‘crown jewels’, then losing it unnecessarily, becomes a theft of a very precious commodity, which, for some of us, is the one attractive outward feature that we have. It is like wearing a favorite outfit that boosts your confidence. I do believe that had you been my hairstylist, that my road to improvement would have been much different. I love your videos. Keep them coming. Thanks.
She looks great! Such a compassionate stylist!
Wait so she got another relaxer when she came back? If the relaxer is in fact what is causing her breakage, then why keep doing it?
I said the same thing
It's people like you who care about Hair and you are appreciated. Good heart and good techniques.
Wow, finished style looks great!!
My hair definitely fell out the last time I took my braids out. I was so frustrated I decided to start over with a BIG CHOP and love it ♥️
You are such a teacher Crystal!
I have this exact problem. Exactly. Thank you for this video!
Beautiful job Ms.Crystal love the outcome!!
the breakage was a blessing she looks so good with that short cut. i hope she keeps it for awile
Beautiful style and great work! If I may offer some advice as an MD that specializes in hair, please please please recommend these clients see a dermatologist. Breakage at the crown is usually a sign of underlying issues. Chemicals can worsen this. I see it ALL THE TIME!!!! We rely on our hairdresser friends to work in collaboration with us to make sure we catch this early.
WOW! You did a wonderful job on her hair. My hair has broken off like hers and I have shoulder length hair. My hair is natural so I use a lot of leave in conditioner and comb it to the side to cover the bald spot. My hair has started to grow back but it’s not long enough for me to get it cut yet.
To answer the question in the video, the first thing i would do is stop doing whatever it was to my hair that was causing the damage. (For me it would be braiding styles) i now dont leave them in as long and i leave my hair out in between more.
I no longer cornrows or box braid my hair as it was taking my hair out and irritating my scalp. I miss them.
Love the finished style.
I would have her get tests done for her thyroid, an overactive or underactive thyroid can cause many problems, one of them being hair loss and weak hair. Love the style!!
Hello. Your skills transformed to perfection. Thank you for sharing.
Nice. Keep on blessing everyone with your talent. Amen.
Another fabulous cut - your ladies must be queuing round the block!
Beautiful you are a great stylist
You did a wonderful job on her hair. Back in the 90’s I loved a versatile pixie cut, a cut that I could do a quick wrap comb out style or if I wanted to curl or bump it and comb it with a rake comb. Women have to focus on proper nutrition to help keep a healthy head of hair, especially when getting towards those change of life years. Keep up your blessed, beautiful and talented work. Young women of child bearing years as well need to eat a proper amount of healthy iron in their diet.
Beautiful. I like how you transformed her hair.
Wow did not expect that result! You are very talented.
Bring her back. We wanna see her dolled up! 🥰🥰
Let your client know that she looks fabulous with the pixie cut... Great Job!!!
Bless her heart , you do great work bless your heart too
You made her Gorgeous!! 😊
Beautiful person stay safe y'all and healthy.
My friend and I both had our hair brake off like that years ago. I believe the perm was extremely old cause we bought it at same time and both had breakage in the same area. It did grow back after getting a cut.
No more home perms for me. My scalp is sensitive so right now I'm keeping the chemicals, products, and raw oils and butters to a minimum.
Her hair looks Fabulous💥
This is so me..I love it..especially the way you curl..Another Great job lady..continue to be Great 👍
She looks great, very stylish. Fantastic haircut, I bet she was delighted with it. x
, ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT WORK, TOTALLY AMAZING!
She should wear her hair short because the style looks fantastic
I am so impressed with your confidence in cutting very short?
It’s def vitamin deficiency hair loss. My hair did the SAME thing and no matter what kept shedding until I got my iron and vitamin D levels together. Protein treatments slowed the breakage down but the issue will continue for years until it is fixed. I had a great stylist and she would give me great corrective cuts. Also, water treatments in different cities can be hard and affect the hair and skin and make it drier. But I will bet a lot of money that it’s vitamin deficiency. She should ask her PCP to check her blood work specifically for any vitamin deficiencies and iron whenever she gets routine checkups. It’s not something they routinely check for. So you have to ask. Also, a lot of doctors do not make the correlation between hair loss and diet or focus on it. They are thinking about big picture things to keep you alive. So ask and don’t assume they know or check. Personally, My hair has FULLY grown back in my crown but it is a much straighter curl pattern right now. It’s been a yr since the big chop and getting iron infusions and taking 50,000 u Vit D supplements for 8 wks. I haven’t had a lick of shedding or hair loss. Before taking any supplements talk to your doctor!!!!
U did that!!👏👏👏👏 BEAUTIFUL 😁
Hello am watching from Dominica in the Caribbean I enjoy watching your live UA-cam channel
People in Prince George’s County don't go to Secrets Hair Salon and Hair Care. The Owner knows nothing about hair texture and will rip you off.
Her cut is beautiful
Beautiful!
Her hair is beautiful..luv it
Love watching you , you do wonderful things to damage hair !!!!!
My hair was broken off like this .Istop perming it and went natural.now it's very thick and healthy.
I had this before mines came from stress after losing a Parent. I kept playing in that spot. I used that green and white bottle called Wild Growth hair oil . I mean my hair grew very fast and my cousin is a hairstylist as well did me a 2 sew ins in 5 months my hair was long.
Great job 👏
Her is beautiful you did that 😊
Wish you lived near me. Not all "hairstylists can cut. You a a true professional.
Her curly pixie cut makes me think of the coats of Devon Rex cats. Super cute and pretty! 💓
You did a beautiful job on her hair
Her hair looks beautiful👍🏿for my crown area when it was damaged by the relaxer, I've use Jamaican oil, caster oil and Cantu curl activator. I would applied and twist my hair. Now my natural hair and the crown area grew about 3 inches within 6 months.👍🏿👍🏿😊
Really good job. I can’t even tell there was a short area.
Great work normally hairstylists will give a buzz cut. I love the pixie cut.
I like it, I have breakage in the crown of my head and nerve spots at the back of my neck , when I have my hair cut it doesn't look good long because my hair will start breaking again on my neck, my never look good long.
Wow shampoo and conditioner works great I had the same thing happen to me because I was really sick in 2019 now my hair is healthier than before
Beautiful finish.
Her hair looked so much better and healthier
A beautiful haircut and the lady really suits her beautiful face!
Her hair 💇♀️ is beautiful
Hi Crystal. I am new to your channel. I love all of the hair video u posted, and I have learned alot. My sister have alopecia. She been wearing wigs for years. By watching your videos gave me hope to help her to start back feeling good about her hair. Thank you so much for sharing because you don't have to take out your time to do that. I would love to watch your Live, how do I go about doing that please?
First the hair looks great. Blended her and she is on her way. I think I remember you said you do a neutralizer on the hair to make sure that the hair is not still processing.
I have not heard you say, but I would guess you need to come into the shop ASAP
Beautiful hair style. The client have to stop doing what caused the problem.
Herbal treatments and eating sea moss daily has helped me tremendously. Keeping up with protein treatments, separate the broken area and give it more TLC. If I’m using heat, I make sure I use heat protectant.
