    Bible verse of the day:
    "For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13

    "Even if they're small, fish are fun." True statement. Fishing from bed…it doesn't get much better. That was a cozy catch & cook. That rising water would not sit well with me. Thanks for another great adventure. PS... nice rod snag at the end.

    Fun watch guys. Be careful by those pressure ridges. Lots of ice movement all the time on Red. That's just a local giving you the "know it all" advice.

    Just checked the regs and you are allowed to cook fish on the ice provided the oil is hot as you are filleting the fish and you must keep the entire carcass for inspection and measurability. Also the fish you consume I believe count toward the daily bag limit.

    • @NASPELTZ
      @NASPELTZ  9 місяців тому

      Yes everything you said is correct. You must keep the carcass to shoe length and fish

      @user-fo7qt7nk7i Thank God you clarified that Karen!! I just hope he didn''t exceed the speed limit on the drive to the lake either.

      Hey thanks for watching, I’m glad you got the same rod I absolutely love mine. I was planing to film a bunch of Mississippi River pepin ice videos, but Mother Nature had other plans. Sadly. I’m working on a backwater video right now though

    Were you part of them that got stuck on the upper redlake? Lol bro dont go out there if you dont see us redskins on the lake yet. Had 100 fishermen caught on a floating chunk of ice. Stay safe. Its not that hard to notice us locals.

    i know the dread of moving a shack that i set up for the day or several hours but if i was staying the night i would have moved like 50 foot away from the edge of the water not like you were hammering them faster than you could think buddy the lord has your soul but the ice just may have bit you in the ass think smarter next time buddy and trust me i believe you had well over a foot or more of ice it doesnt mean risk your life or gear at a minimum you dont have to prove how tough you are we all like you because your calm demeanor and your ability to entertain us

      @NASPELTZ  9 місяців тому

      I totally understand, we should have moved the tent. Honestly I wasn’t trying to act tough I was just being lazy and didn’t want to move it in the dark. Luckily we got off alright but next time I’ll take the time to re setup in a safe location. Thanks for the info

    You may want to check the fishing regulations on whether or not you are allowed to fillet and cook the same fish on the ice.

    You’d almost think there was a reason nobody else was set up on a pressure ridge 🤷‍♂️

    • @NASPELTZ
      @NASPELTZ  9 місяців тому

      There was 30 foot castles setup on the ridge lol, just not this spot, live and learn my friend! It was dumb of us to setup that close to it

      @@NASPELTZ I did risky things when younger also, then you have kids haha. Come to think of it I also used to catch more fish doing those things. Good videos, keep up the good work.

    #lakeback the part your fishing was stolen from us when we signed a treaty with the us government. An old chief said “I’m going to haunt this lake until it’s back into my peoples hands”
