Hi - I’m following your directions and once I close the washer before the 4 second count down , the times starts going down and then just turns off and nothing happens ?
Wow. Now I remember why I never used a dishwasher. It takes 15 mins to wash dishes clean by hand, but this thing takes 7 hours, lol

Wtf, an hour, three hours, SEVEN hours!!! That's ridiculous. Like i live alone, I'll just keep hand washing my damn dishes. Is there anyway to set the time that you want?
Cara It’s great for overnight wash or when you’re stepping away.
Freak 7 hrs it takes me less than 20 minutes to wash them by hand 🖐👈👍
But will your dishes be as clean?
If you go for the 7 hour wash....it gives you time to visit your psychiatrist AND pick up the meds they prescribe.

I actually wash my dishes myself but use the dishwasher to dry them because I hate dish racks on my countertop. I have a a whirlpool and it has heat dry & extended dry. It was doing like a steam dry last night andi was like huh? I pressed one of those options? I’m guessing it’s going to take an hr & half to fully complete the dry cycle?

My whirlpool after a normal wash and heat dry leaves my dishes soaked, I think there’s something wrong with the drying element because dishes should not be wet in dishwasher 12hrs later... any advice?

Use rinse aid once a month
I just had dishwasher installed adn having same issue. I called Whirlpool and they are sending out a service tech to take a look. However i have talked to a few other ppl and they have a LG and a Bosch and they are both having same issues... seems to be newer dishwashers do NOT dry well ... makes no sense to me and to have wet moist in the dishwasher ALL the time is a breeding ground , not good for sure

What actually happens during the very long soak and wash cycle? Does it spray water for a while, rest, spray, rest, spray . . . . ? What takes 7 hours?
We have the same dishwasher. Brand new, never used it until now. Is it supposed to make noises as soon as you turn it on? It seems a little too quiet. And looks like the liquid soap just spilled out.

Correction here - Hi temp wash option only ensures the main wash portion and final rinse portion is at 140 degrees maximum for cleaning assurance. - as the room temp dishes cool the main wash portion significantly in any dishwasher!

Thank you very much for this video I just installed a whirlpool dishwasher replacing my old one first off the install on it is the worst and yes I have done this before my old dishwasher everything was accessible when you took the kick plate off this one forget it also the directions for operation are useless on this model I think you covered everything that you need to know to get going I think whirlpool should have you rewrite the operation direction for them Thank you very much

I just got a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher and for some reason, my dishes won't dry. Everything still has water on it.

I wish you covered how to cancel and drain the machine. I’m struggling to figure out if I’m doing it right. Can you please cover that at some point. My dishwasher started leaking at 1am and I need to to see if it’s going to leak and can’t wait 1-3 hours.

Can you open the dishwasher mid cycle if you detect a leak? Will it immediately stop? What buttons if any do you press to drain it? Does NOT using your dishwasher cause a back up or a leak?

Thank you for the vedio, while using the dishwasher I have noticed that top rack mugs or dishes remain dirty, I tried twice but still stains on the mugs

IMPORTANT FACTS added=In owners manual is does state if you use a LONGER wash it saves more Energy & WATER!! Like driving a car slower...& Need to know about inside racks-manual doesnt state that either!! There are clamps to raise upper rack to different positions BUT what is the right side blue piece for- Wine Rack??

Hey! We have the same last name.. also.. I think mine is broken because it isn't turning on at all. Doesn't do anything when I press any of the buttons 😔
I know how you feel. 😩 My husband just bought this exact one at Lowe's hardware for my bday last month. I've used it 3 times and it stopped working yesterday. I press the options I want and press start. The time and lights remains on for maybe 1-2 min and then turns off. It won't do anything but light up and it's only a month old. 😡

@paulaandreaocampojaramillo6884 you could possibly have dishes blocking the soap dispenser door from opening. Try loading dishes away from the dispenser door

@DIYPinto it was user error. We were actually canceling the the cycle instead of starting it. A dumb moment. That's for inquiring tho.

My whirlpool dishwasher is a little different. I have a question because I put it on normal cycle and I didn't know that it takes 3 hours for it so after an hour and a half I drained it even though there were still suds on the bottom of the dishwasher is that okay

I just bought a new Whirlpool. I have used it twice. Now I can't get it to close. Nothing is in its way. When I try to close it within the 4 seconds, it pops it back open. Do you know what is causing this?

I got a new Whirlpool dishwasher n it's nothing like my old 30 year Whirlpool so I wanted my old one back. Lol. I had all these same problems. On my old one it didn't take long to wash n when it started on dry cycle then I would crack door barely n let steam out n my dishes would dry n save on power also. I tried that on new one n it dried better that way.

There is a little door that says "pre-wash" and another little door for rinse aid. *where* does the soap for the main cycle go? Because if I put soap in the pre-wash, it uses that soap immediately, then empties, then goes to the main wash cycle. But... I haven't put any soap for the main wash because I don't see anywhere to put it.

Mine doesn't clean the dishes at all. And I did 2 different options. Do you know what can be wrong ? Just moved into our house a few days ago. First time me using the dishwasher.
Make sure nothing is blocking the propellers such as spoons or forks or pot handles that can dip below the rack level.
My sani wash comes up red and won't allow me to make a wash selection. What am I doing wrong?
