If you haven't already, would love to see a demo on using an iPad to control the panner!! I believe you can do something similar. It isn't "point and shoot" like this one is, but I think you can touch the panner and record automation straight from there through Eucon. Been thinking about getting an iPad for this exact reason!!
@@michaelgwagner No no, I mean using an iPad to control the Pro Tools panner through Eucon and the Avid Remote app. It's not point and shoot. The only difference is you don't have to copy the automation from a different plug-in, you just drag your objects in the iPad panner, and write the automation. If you have an Avid S1 or Avid Dock, you can use the knobs and faders to control those parameters. No need for loopholes, quick and easy. Other panners in other DAW's might be more beneficial for this plug-in though.
Interesting but it seems a bit of hassle Is this the same in Cubase / Nuendo ? Is there another panner in Nuendo other than the dolby one that we can use ?
Use in Nuendo is a bit more straightforward. If I remember correctly you would just use the OSC version of the controller. I think I did a video about that once. 🤔
@@michaelgwagneri am sure you did a previous video, whenever i am looking for something i tend to find something on your channel ❤ alternatively: in nuendo you can also pick third party panners on a channel by channel basis if i remember correctly, so s.p.’s space controller becomes the channels panner and it works seamlessly
you might be able to use reaper's parameter modulation to link the parameters. i never used the remote with spacecontroller but if it moves the knobs with it it will most likely work
the ipad is possible yet the workflow with the phone is more “handy” since you use a one finger control workflow: thumb for write start / stop as well as distance by swiping up and down and the gyroscope for the positioning in the room

It works with the iPad in exactly the same way. I just find the usability questionable. the iPad is a bit too large for a pointing device.

Not if you are mixing Atmos. Then it has to be the Atmos panner.
A demo in Reaper would be great!
I’ll put it on my list. 😉

Can one use an iPad ?
It should work, yes.
