I am so happy to have found your channel! I love the way you showed at the end of this video how you used this flower and the flower in the first beginner video on a cake. You are making me believe I can do this.
I’m a painter and use oil paint, not buttercream but this was still incredibly helpful! I would have never thought of this technique before, thank you! :)
@@JillyBeann77with thicker oil paints it can work. Some cheaper paints tend to be too runny. But since oil takes forever to dry, the paint applied to the canvas shouldn’t be as thick as in this video. It could take weeks/months to dry. Basically don’t glob it on too thick, and it’ll be fine.
You probably won't see this comment but you have an amazing talent! You can show it too I just wanted to say you are amazing and to keep doing what you do!
Wow!!!!! I was completely mesmerized the entire time watching this. I had no idea what I was looking at was buttercream because I was so deep into the beauty of it all I just assumed it was thickened paint! Goodness I want to go back into my studio and find the perfect ratios to make paint move like your buttercream. Thank you for the inspiration, I’ll definitely be watching to learn from your amazing artistry!
I have a big question I'm looking to learn to do this but hate the idea of wasting all of my trials on a surface instead of a cake while learning. Are these flowers able to be transferable? Can the individual petals be chilled before moving to the cake and assembled there to prevent icing scraping on the cake? I'm sorry for all the questions I'm just so interested and in love with this icing art
I did the course and I absolutely love it! But I think the consistency of my butter it wasn’t smooth. I’ve practice yesterday for 5 hours as I hope I could my best friend a beautiful cake. It is very satisfying seeing you making this master piece 🥰
How often are you refrigerating the cake to ensure that the petals don’t get mixed together - after each petal? And … how do you keep your base coat of meringue buttercream ‘clean’? I would think it easy to do this on marble, but a cake’s surface isn’t marble. Guidance please. 😉
I think if you try this on a piece of parchment, you can do it then freeze and all you’d have to do is peel it off the parchment once it’s set and adhere to the cake!
I attended her workshop. You gotta work it all in an air conditioned room. Recommended temp is 24C. If your room is too cold, the cream will be a bit stiff & it wont be smooth to shape into petals. If you overmix the cream, it’s gonna melt & wont hold its shape.
Right, and all of the clean up she does around the petals and leaves after she places them wouldn't be working out like that on a buttercream cake, or even fondant. Also, I've done the parchment method with flowers and it is never successful.
❤ very beautiful 🌸💐🌺 thank you for the tutorial - this is a technique I have been wanting to learn and you did a great job helping me figure out Palette Knife Painting w/ buttercream…looking forward to more videos ❣️
Thank you for the tutorial. I am a bit concerned that the results may not be good when working on an actual cake. I noticed that you scrape off any icing that is on the board that is not supposed to be there. But on a real cake that has been iced, that would not be possible, even if the icing is really chilled. Am I wrong?
I’m so happy I found your UA-cam channel.

I have the exact same question in my mind 😣😣

If you're working on a buttercream cake, make flowers with buttercream but if making gnash flowers use gnash to frost your cake.

Same thoughts too
What is color medium n how make thicker paint
how do you get the paint to not crack once dried?
Do you freeze them before you take off from where you have ? How do you place them in the cake ? I tried and it didn’t work out .
Nice buttercream consistency is that swiss meringue? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You may check on the caption :D
