The reason Ultron wanted to destroy all life was that he was programmed (by Tony) to bring peace, and... well, that's the only logical way to do it completely.
Remember, that was Ultron, not Vision. Vision was a merging of the Jarvis A.I. and Ultron's intended new body. That never happened and Ultron got his body. Just sayin since ya'll kept calling him Vision.

Ultron expanded the scope of his mission from Earth to the universe, and once he learned of Uatu (the Watcher) and as a result the Multiverse, his desire to save the Multiverse grew even more. Ultron is bad news.
What the Watcher did at the end.....It's called a Tactical Retreat which is what Smart Generals do when they realize they're outgunned. Ultron is in a FINAL BOSS MODE and reinforcements along with a new strategy are required to defeat him.
For anyone not familiar with Marvel comics: The Watchers are an ancient race of powerful beings who decided to become the historians of the universe and document everything. They take an oath to never interfere. Uatu is the Watcher who was assigned to watch Earth. In the comics, he is famous for breaking his oath to not get involved. Here we see the first time the MCU version of Uatu breaks his oath. It won't be his last.

@DEOLEN BLANCO An Absolute Point is something that cannot be changed in the past or it would cause the timeline colapses due to a paradox. Tony could perfectly be saved in most of those universes without messing with the space-time continuum, it would only create another timeline, though.
I think Ironman in general unfortunately wasn't meant to live a long superhero life he always had so many enemies and powerful conflicts he had to try to fix it seems the only world that favored him in the slightest is when he becomes a guardian with Gamora
so the reason ultron didn't blow up earth is because he thought he killed everyone already. the two remaining humans have stayed under the radar tell this point.
I believe Jarvis was only able to hold him back for so long so when Ultron switched bodies he not only had the power of an infinity stone but without Jarvis becoming Vision Ultron was able overcome Jarvis's meddling entirely
@@keanugibson3753 JARVIS changed nuclear codes every time someone attempted to get them. That was before he got uploaded to Ultrons organic body. Ultron didnt even know JARVIS was the one blocking him from the nuclear codes access. Sure, maybe Ultron managed to get the codes with the mind stone somehow, but I dont see how the mind stone would help with that problem.
@@Serryy I took it as Jarvis was weaker because of what Ultron did to him so the only thing he can do was change the codes but Tony said that he was doing it without ultron's knowledge because Ultron had thought he beat him at the beginning but as you see later in the film Jarvis started repairing himself while changing the launch codes... however once Ultron had his organic body and the stone he probably realized who was changing the launch codes and there's nothing stopping him from going after Jarvis a second time .....
this episode was fun, but really unbelievable and they stretched imagination to the limit in getting us to believe it. Ultron with the mind stone wouldn't be able to beat Thanos, just like Vision wouldn't have. Same body, same Mind stone. Thanos would have just nullified any attack and ripped it out of his head, like he did with Vision. Also Infinity stones don't work in other dimensions/universed they only work in their own universe. When Ultron went between dimentions/universes they would have stopped working. Just a lot of plot holes and silly stuff in this episode, but still entertaining.
