Such a great band with awesome songs at their peak register! Roland Gif's voice is just as perfect live as on their studio recordings. It's so devastating they have never reunited for a new album since then.
Some memories!!! The 80's musical period, could not be fully understood and enjoyed without this magnificent band. Fucking luv them, always did and always will.
There was a period in the late 80s when it didn't matter which party or club we attended, "The Raw and The Cooked" CD would invariably contribute to the background ambience.
Thanks for this phenomenal upload. Saw them in Toronto at a place called Canadas Wonderland during the fallout from Hurricane Hugo. We all were soaked to the skin and the surrounding area was flooded. The band kept playing and delivered an amazing show! Left the show elated although we had to walk through water almost up to our knees in driving rain to exit the park. My teen self would report, the show was 5 stars and unforgettable. Great band!
It's true! I purchased the tickets to the show as a birthday gift to you my friend. It was a great show. I'll never forget it. But, that music appreciation class at NCSU was an easy A. My A was a report on Brian Ferry, of Roxy Music, lol. 😘

MAN......VERY COOL VIBES, TUNES AND A FANTASTIC SOUND. I LOVE IT TO HEAR FYC ON BIG STEREO SPEAKER........UNFORGOTTEN❗ IT WAS FUN IN THE LATE 80S TO MOVE & DANCE TO THIS SOUND IN THE CLUBS GREETINGS FROM GERMANY ❗
Just so glad this has survived. Failed to appreciate just how good they were live, and sorry I missed them at the time (I bought both the Albums) As a bassist I love the driving dominance of David's bass on the live performance, balanced against Roland's distinctive vocals and the plaintive muted trumpet.
It's such a fascinatingly weird concert film. I remember seeing it on VHS when it first came out and not being able to make any sense of it at all. This is the first time I've tried to watch it again in about five years and while some things about it are a little clearer it's still something of an enigma. I mean there isn't even a wikipedia page for it. I'm still amazed that there's no other full concert from this band at their commercial peak anywhere to be found on UA-cam. It continues to leave more questions than it answers 30 years after it's release.
Hi Sam, I was at this FYC concert Paramount Theatre, Seattle, 1989. Your comment makes me feel part of a mystery! True: They shot there official video for "I'm Not Satisfied" at 19:51 [only after a lawyer first came on stage to get audience's consent to appear in it. Of course we did. LOL] Great show! They said it was their last tour date. Ever. I am unsure if that's true.
Thanks so much for uploading this. It must be 25+ since I first saw the concert on VHS. Especially love Graeme Hamilton's trumpet. Andy & Dave went on to produce albums for the Reverend Al Green in the late 90s.
Thank you for loading this. I am a new convert to the band, not unfamiliar to FYC. I never knew what to think of this band growing up, but it's a very cool mix of styles and, of course, Roland's voice....
