Wishing you a great week. Because I have hens, I always have eggs. We raise all our own meat too. We have goats, sheep, and black angus.. We also have hazelnut trees, cherry trees, pear trees and about a dozen different apple trees. We also have blackberry bushes, blueberry and raspberry. So thankful for all the bounty. We used to have bee hives many years ago and still have some of that honey, but we need to get new hives. My daughter just spent a week pressure canning pints of beef broth. I have stopped buying bread in the store and make all of our bread and rolls. This was a very long process. I moved to their small farm 14 years ago and it’s an ongoing learning process every day. Take care.
Smart lady! Gathering up the fragments is a great way to use up leftovers. I do this frequently. I make a Refrigerator Soup or Refrigerator Fried Rice using the leftovers from the refrigerator.
Sadly am stuck with Walmart home delivery, so I can't take advantage of store loss leaders or markdowns. However, I just remembered that I like chicken livers so WM has 1.25 lbs. for less than $2. Great source of protein, iron and B vitamins. But it may not be for everyone ... high in cholesterol and should be avoided if you are at risk for gout. Or you may not like them! I personally love them and haven't had for a long time. Should make a couple of meals for very little. FYI.
Your meals look very tasty! We also don't throw out any food. Before my weekly shopping trip, I go through the fridge and freezer and use up any odd bits in a stir fry or a fritata. Sometimes I make a pot of soup.
You have the best strategy...Keeping only the most important ingredients and cooking them with respect...😊 Eating is not an habit, but an experience...
Those muffins and pizza look amazing. Every time you say little as much when God is in it, it reminds me of a song I heard of a ladies retreat where a woman named Mina Oglesby sang Little is Much When God is in it.
Idk if you know this but you can make easy salsa with a can of Rotel (or generic), by throwing into a magic bullet, blender or use an immersion blender. I only add Lawry's garlic salt w parsley to it. DELICIOUS and cheaper than name brand salsa's.
@@jakematic it's soooooo easy and already has everything in it. I use the Hot Rotel but, if I'm taking to share I use one hot and one reg. It never lasts long here bc I use it on EVERYTHING! 😁
Walmart art actually has a Canned salsa that is in the aisle with their Canned tomatoes. It is priced the same as a canof to.atoes, and is surprisingly good. We usually prefer homemade pico, but buy this often. It is better than most hatred, more expensive salsa.
Whenever I buy brocolli, I go thru it and find the cuts that make perfect pieces to add to my pizzas. I typically freeze and place the amount I would use for 1 pizza in quart size freezer ziploc bags. I also buy can olives & slice them up for the freezer. Saves time when I make my pizzas. Every time I make my own marinara sause, i know exactly the portion size to freeze for my pizza sauce into sandwich size bags 😊
I always enjoy sharing time with you on line! Although I am on more of a low carb/higher meat eating plan I still do have a small amount of veggies and fruits on hand. This morning I prepped all my food for the week so that I can just grab and make a meal without waiting. I have a small amount of Brussels Sprouts, yellow squash, 2 small red potatoes, 2 small gold potatoes, a can of Reed's 3 bean salad, 2 dozen eggs, shredded coleslaw, shredded chicken, cut up ham, 1 pound of ground beef, 1/2 pound of bacon, 2 thinly sliced steaks and a pint of blackberries. I have plenty for this week! You are an inspiration gal! Thanks for sharing all you do!
Your pizza looked especially delicious! I'm always using leftovers to do something different. This morning I had 2 pieces of a pork roast left over and a little of the broth that had onion soup mix in it. I put it in my mini food processor and made it into a sandwich spread, adding a little spicy brown mustard and some seasonings. Great on bread, or a wrap. I had some of it with a bit of lettuce and a slice of onion. Yummy. Anyway, thanks for sharing your meal ideas!
I have seen that Loretta brand at Ollies. It is a discount store a lot like big lots. They also have a cheddar biscuit mix and maybe a plain biscuit mix
Robin. I’m wanting to make the muffins but didn’t see where you said if you just made the batter like on the pancake mix box along with the butter and sugar you added or a different measurement. Help please
Robin please let me know how you store the muffins. I love a muffin with my coffee in the morning but here lately when I make them I put them in a plastic container with a lock lid but I only get to eat about 2 more days and then they get moldy and I throw them out. Help!!!! Your tacos 🌮 looked wonderful!!! Love ya❤
Yes if they are very moist they will get moldy. You can keep them in a bag in the fridge which will extend them several more days or freeze them and take out one at a time as you need them.
I wrap them in clear film (saran swrap) put them in a zip top bag and freeze. Take one out and put it in the fridge the night before, or zap it for a few seconds in the microwave. They last up to a month that way. Hope that helps.
Hi catlover! I see you have lots of replies. That’s awesome. I put the muffins in cheap sandwich bags and then put the batch in a large freezer bag. I just take one out at a time.
My homemade pizza always has hamburger. Only buy Pepperoni if I can find small packages at $ Tree. If you had gone out to eat I bet you would have spent $30 even at fast food places. Well done!

I like livers as well. You got a good buy Birgitta! Well done.
I wrap tortillas, naan and pita the same way, individually in parchment paper then put back into the original wrappers then into the freezer!
Thanks for sharing your tip with us!

My favorite pizza is onions, green olives and mushrooms. Cheese of course.
Delicious!

That's a great idea! I've done it a lot with canned diced tomatoes and onion but this sounds better. Thank you.

I do have a video on how to make salsa from canned tomatoes. Cheap and tasty. The rotel is a good idea. Thanks!
