Yes. And it was not the biggest. One of my purple sweet potatoes weighed nearly 4 lbs. If you've not had purple sweet potato pie, you've got to try it.

Summer is coming. Go for it! What kind does best for you in your area? I watched a video with a young couple over there who's had good success with Murasaki (Japanese) and even Beauregard. If you grow your own slips, it's not too late to do it, but use organic potatoes. Much easier to grow. Thanks for subscribing and please spread the word for me.

Thank you. No I didn't. However, God willing, I'll be doing videos from setting slips to planting and each phase of fertilization next season.

Where do you live to have so marvellous plants?? Where did you buy the different sweet potatoes?

Hi Claudette. I live in Georgia, zone 7b. The Vardaman were from slips I grew. In 2021 I bought slips from a plant company in Tennessee but I only got a few small potatoes from them. I saved them and grew slips from them for 2022. All my other sweet potatoes (Japanese, Stokes Purple, Georgia Jet and Beauregard) were store bought from which I made slips. I would definitely be planting lots of Japanese and some Stokes next year God willing. It's easy to grow slips.

Giovanni, though harvesting may seem difficult, but aaah! There is so much joy in exerting some energy to get that potato. Thanks for your comment and stay well man!
