We still can’t believe how amazing the 6 weeks in Cape Town were. If you plan to go to Cape Town, you need at LEAST 2 weeks. And with 2 weeks, here’s what we would suggest:
    Week 1:
    Day 1-3: Explore Cape Town
    • Day 1: Arrive and settle in. Visit the V&A Waterfront for your first taste of Cape Town's charm.
    • Day 2: Hike up Lion's Head with the family for stunning panoramic views of the city and coastline.
    • Day 3: Discover the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, known for its historic streets and vibrant culture.
    Day 4-5: Nature and Wildlife
    • Day 4: Explore Table Mountain, either by hiking or taking the cable car, for breathtaking vistas.
    • Day 5: Visit Boulders Beach to see African penguins in their natural habitat.
    Day 6-7: Cultural Experience
    • Day 6: Spend a relaxing day at World of Birds, a sanctuary with a variety of bird species and serene surroundings.
    • Day 7: Attend a service at Hillsong Cape Town Church and experience the local community spirit.
    Week 2:
    Day 8-10: Stellenbosch and Surrounds
    • Day 8: Take a day trip to Stellenbosch and visit Tokara for scenic vineyard views and wine tasting.
    • Day 9: Explore the charming town of Stellenbosch and its historic architecture.
    • Day 10: Relax and enjoy leisure time in Cape Town, perhaps revisiting favorite spots or exploring new ones.
Day 11-14: Culinary and Local Markets
    • Day 11: Visit the Oranjezicht City Farm Market for fresh local produce and delicious food stalls.
    • Day 12: Beach day! Sunset Beach, Bloomberg or any of the other amazing beaches
    • Day 13-14: Spend the final days shopping, relaxing on the beaches, or exploring additional attractions like Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

We stayed on sunset beach, but I would totally recommend the Clifton beach area.
But biggest tip for Cape Town would be spend as much time there as you can. There is SO much to see and do. Our video didn’t even cover half of all we did.
Also, the food scene in SA if one of the best we’ve seen in the world and so affordable.

South Africa also has many playground restaurants/cafes and lots of kid friendly activities. Your 4+5yo will LOVE it!
