I'm 69 and have used false eyelashes many times throughout my life and have never become proficient at it. Don't like sleeping in them like so many of my friends have done and always had trouble getting strip lashes on. This video is for Me! I thought my days of wearing lashes were over but I was wrong. Thank you for showing me that even old ladies can still wear lashes and look good!
@Cupcake4me oh no sorry to hear you are struggling. i guess I've done it A LOT so it comes naturally now. I think practice is the only way forward. Dont give up, it does click into place with practice! Good luck x
Wow, I had no idea you could stick the individual ones onto your own lashes. That makes so much more sense than trying to make that tiny little end stick to your eyelid. Thanks Lisa!
I just made my first attempt at applying individual lashes following your video, and it was so easy and the look is so natural yet dramatic and pretty! Love it!!! Thanks so much!
I've watched so many tutorials on individual lashes and yours is the only one that has really helped me understand how to use them! Thank you Lisa for such an informative video.
@Hazannuma you can have them applied with a more semi permanent type glue like the one used for lash extensions. If you do then you cant really use make-up remover cleansing and washing products daily.. hence no mascara otherwise they wont last the full 2-3 weeks or whatever they are claiming. Its up to you X
True, her accent is super sexy and magnetising )) I loved the tutorial, although I chose to use Cherish Lash growth serum long ago so I don't need false lashes. That's a great UA-cam vlogger and I like that she's into charity.
This tutorial was amazing! I always had a terrible time with individual lashes, and this helped so much! Amazing what turning the box around and a little glue on the hand can do. Thank you!!
@Cupcake4me unfortunately that doesn't really work because the lashes within each individual bunch are staggered and tapered to all different lengths to look natural so when you cut them they look strange. Thanks for your great comments! x
Thanks to this tutorial i dont think im ever going to wear strip lashes again! everybody says that strips are easy but after seeing how to do individuals properly i think this look is more for me and actually a lot easier than trying to avoid that slopping gap i get when i try doing my strip lashes after having a few glasses of wine haha. thanks so much i love your vids!
thank you- thank you. my first application is very soon, I have been terrified to apply (glue getting into my eye / applying to my real lashes) You have put me at ease, that everything will be ok. again, thank you for taking the time to do this for all of us. amy, Framingham, MA.
So so helpful! I'm the MOH at a wedding this weekend and decided it would be a good time to try out individual false lashes as I've been wanting to for a while now... I was scared that I wouldn't be able to do it, but thanks to Lisa's great tutorial, I had a successful practice run tonight!
This is the first video I've seen of you and I have to say that you explained it very thoroughly. I'm not comfortable using the stronger adhesive that last 2 weeks or so. I just wanted to use these lashes for tonight and this video really helped me. Thanks so much and I'm looking forward in watching more videos from you. Good luck with your site!
Lisa, bless you for doing an excellent how to video for those of us, including me, who were too wary of looking fake, lol. You showed that it was painless and absolutely worth the effort for the stunning results. Love ya!!
I've never had individual lashes. I always used the whole ones and I HATED them! I have kinda long lashes but they are quite thin. So I think I should get some individuals, I think it would suit me better
your thoughts are always so precise and well put together. I learn something new with every tutorial (and believe me I've seen them all). Sometimes I go back and watch them again and pick something up I missed before. You are soooo talented and such an inspiration. #loveyoulisa
I just loved watching you. I put this video on full screen and you made me forget this was youtube. thanks for the video! love it. I just went to IMATS and bought a bunch of these eyelashes since they were on sale. and now i know how to use them.. thank you!!
I am well practiced with strip lashes but was never confident with this type. I will definitely give them a go now...they look lovely and so natural. Thanks Lisa xx
Thanks for the video !! I was always afraid of indiviadual lashes but you make it looks so easy ! I'll try them ! I agree with you, they give a far more natural look. I have very small bottom lashes, can these be used on the bottom too ?
Thanks Lisa! Did not know to attach them to the last, not the skin. For 30 years I've been doing it wrong; can't wait to try them lash to lash; will probably be much easier.
Thanks for the help! I bought individual lashes and when I went on youtube for some videos, I found a bunch of full lash hot to's and I thought that perhaps I had bought the wrong thing. From the clear way you explain the pros and cons, I'm glad I bought the individual lashes, because they'll fit my lifestyle so much better! Thanks again!
Honestly the best make-up tutorial I've ever watched! The way you explain step to step is so helpful. Thank you very much. Going to give them a try next weekend :D
very helpful!! I was always trying to stick them to my eye..not to my eyelashes! And I had terrible issues trying to remove them (with that clear individual ardell lash glue)... will definately try on the lashes with the duo!! Thanks so much!
Thanks for the video! These seem much easier to apply that the rows of lashes... I often found the long rows hard to curve to fit my eye shape so they wouldn't be completely flush with my natural lashes... Will buy some individuals and try them soon!
This video was great. I'm a room boy so I don't know much about make-up but I've been doing a lot of highs lately so I'm trying to look more professional. These videos really help. Thanks!
I did it! My lashes are actual a nice length and look even fuller and longer with mascara. But for fun I wanted to add some length to the outer edges for a bit of daytime glam. Thanks for the tutorial!
So happy I found this. I've tried to do the individual lashes but now I see that I was putting them on too soon with still wet glue. Thanks so much....I'm learning so much from your tutorials !!
@thenewchivis27juan Yes you can buy them at any good make-up store including the Mac shops and on-line. For a full product list with links please visit my website x
Awesome tutorial, and yes it did help! I'm glad you did an individual lashes application video, seeing as most one on youtube teach to apply band lashes
Amen! Thank you for posting this. I have just started wearing these and have had so much trouble applying them. Thank you for you're instructions. By allowing the glue to become tacky will be helpful. Thank you again. Denise
Hi Lisa, I went on the look out for those Ardell individual lashes. I found them in Gordons Chemist on my lunch break (in Omagh, Northern Ireland). I got myself the Duo glue from the MAC make up counter in Belfast. I am now ready for the Christmas party season!
wow, i didn't know that you glue the eyelashes on your actual lashes! I thought you were supposed to place them on your eyelash-roots! I'll try this out soon , it looks amazing and you xan't really tell if it's fake or not, as it happens with the full lashes. Thanks, you are amazing!
DUO adhesive is what we all use for the removable eyelash strips that last a day, how does it work with the individuals to make them last? Is it a different DUO adhesive than what is used for the lash strips?
You make it look so easy! I've tried 4 or 5 times and invariably make a mess. But after watching your tutorial I'm ready to give it another go. You've addressed all the issues I was having and how to fix it...so thank you! I do have a question: I'm missing lashing on one eye so there's a small gap. Is it okay to drop a lash on the skin in that area? I'd really love to close that gap until new lashes grow in. Or would the false lashes and glue hinder new growth? Same thing happening to eyebrows.
I know this is an older video but it is wonderful! I just subscribed! I am older and have a hard time with the strips and this looks so much easier. Thank you for the amazing close up, it helps me understand a lot better. Have a beautiful day........
How long can you leave them on? Do I remove them daily? I will listen again maybe I missed this. I dont apply on the lower lash right? Do they fall of naturally? So many questions. I just dont want to do something and end up looking goofy. I want a simple natural look. My lash have gotten so thin with time. Thank you for the advice. You make it look simple. I know the ease of which you apply the lashes will come with practice. I will edit my comment when I finish. My husband is helping me. He is good about telling me the truth. Thank you again.
You made this less scary to do! I'm trying them this weekend! *Thank you for posting this* You did an amazing job explaining it. Greatly appreciate it!!!!
I personally only use individual lashes, they look so much better and natural. Even if you want a dramatic effect it's totally attainable. I have never glued them to my lashes though which is something I just learned. Would I just use makeup remover to get them off? I'd be afraid of ripping my lashes out.
Another wonderful video! Thank you Lisa. I was wearing individual fake lashes on my wedding day and my eyes never looked better. I'll definitely try applying them myself now that i've got such a great instructor :) By the way, I'm looking very much forward to your sunscreen video now that spring's coming, I remember you mentioned it in one of your skincare videos and I hope you still plan on doing it one day :)
Thanks Lisa, I used individual lashes before and didn't get on wel with them so started using strips, but I think i'll try them again, cos the results look fantastic, comfortable and natural. any idea where we can buy these lashes in the uk please?
Hi Lisa! Have you tried the new Duo Adhesive glue? I would love to see an updated video using this new Duo glue specifically for individual lashes. Showing any tips and tricks. There is a Duo video tutorial on their channel but it says to run the glue from root to tip and that the glue lasts for up to 2 weeks. Was wondering what would u recommend in terms of applying them and how long leaving them in . Thank you :)
Great advice regarding buying the same length lashes. I've wasted many boxes, only using the shorter lashes and throwing away the rest. Ebay seems to be the cheapest place to buy these ones.
what type of adhesive can i use for my lashes to last a full week. ? and where can i find it? love the video. excellent job. extremely educational for me. ( a first timer) :-)
awesome tips. just put mine on. I have the same ardele individual eyelashes but mine has long medium and shorts for better blending i guess. they look so natural and fluffy. cant even feel them after the glue dried. thank you.
Hi could you tell me how do you remove the false eyelashes, I loved your tutorial on lashes but as a novice I would like to know if there is a certain way you remove them thank you:)
wow that looks lovely on you lisa :) do you have any make up looks for long eye lashes but very small eye lids? i mean the gaps between eye lash and where it creases, (usually where liquid eye liner goes ) i cant wear it because it takes up the whole of my eye! thankss: ) x
Lisa, you have convinced me to use individual lashes for my wedding day. I wasn't sure. I tried applying a full set once and it wasn't easy. Plus I chose one that wasn't right was my eyes. I was told that MAC # 7 are good. I think they are good for a night out, but for my wedding day I want something more natural. It appears a little spikey. If I were to choose a full set, which ones from MAC are good?
Thank you, that was very helpful! I tried using them today and they all fell off when I tried to apply mascara, so I think this will help me figure out where I went wrong when I try again tomorrow.
if you trim them they will look trimmed and very unnatural no matter how you cute them because the end of the lashes wont have a thin look like normal lashes do it wont look right
I'm 69 and have used false eyelashes many times throughout my life and have never become proficient at it. Don't like sleeping in them like so many of my friends have done and always had trouble getting strip lashes on. This video is for Me! I thought my days of wearing lashes were over but I was wrong. Thank you for showing me that even old ladies can still wear lashes and look good!
Dee Statham IKR?
Ur one gorgeous lady I tell i
Did you just call her an old lady
TBSS
So not on the skin but on top of natural lashes? MY GOD, I've been doing it wroooonggg...Thank u!!
@Cupcake4me oh no sorry to hear you are struggling. i guess I've done it A LOT so it comes naturally now. I think practice is the only way forward. Dont give up, it does click into place with practice! Good luck x

I love when you said "very naughty" lol, your accent is so cute :)
True, her accent is super sexy and magnetising )) I loved the tutorial, although I chose to use Cherish Lash growth serum long ago so I don't need false lashes. That's a great UA-cam vlogger and I like that she's into charity.
Lisa! I gave this a go yesterday. It was tricky at first indeed, but I remained calm and it indeed changed the whole look. Thanks! :D
Thanks for your great comments! x
Incredibly detailed and well explained tutorial! Thank you, it's obvious that you're a pro!
You always make the most informative makeup tutorials. Lisa, love your channel because you're really one of a kind guru on YT. And the best by far. xx
Your tips are going to be SO helpful to me. I've done these before, but now I'll do them even better. Thank you!
Thank you Lisa Eldridge! This is the best fake lash application video in all of UA-cam! I love how thoroughly you explain things! Thanks

@Chaz1Rugby they sell it at stand alone Mac shops or Pro make-up stores like Screenface, Charles Fox, PAM and guru make-up emporium x
That was the BEST tutorial....and your voice is so soothing. Thank you
I am well practiced with strip lashes but was never confident with this type. I will definitely give them a go now...they look lovely and so natural. Thanks Lisa xx

@badrobot88 I'm wearing the new Chanel colour 'Nouvelle Vague' from their summer collection. Its available from the 7th May. Thanks for watching! x

I could listen to you talk all day lol not only is your accent beautiful but your voice is sooooo calming 😊😆
Best individual lash tutorial. Thank you so much.
This is THE video I've been needing for forever
Your eyes are heavenly. Their color is beautiful!😍
How do you remove the lashes without pulling/damaging your own lashes?
did you figure it out? cos i’m curios
@@anyaevans3625 you need to use an oily make up remover and apply alot of it on the fake lashes
I let mine grow out as my natural lashes grow out.
this was suuuuper helpful. I plan to purchase these tonight & try them out tomorrow morning :)
Looks lovely and wearable. I'm going to try falsies this way : full strips have always put me off, so thanks for this particular tutorial.
Finally a good tutorial about individual eye lashes, thank you! :)
THANK YOU!!! This video is what I needed to see for a clear explanation. Now I am ready for my lashes :)
I’m actually surprised how easy this application was for me as a complete newbie. Great tutorial
wow, i didn't know that you glue the eyelashes on your actual lashes! I thought you were supposed to place them on your eyelash-roots! I'll try this out soon , it looks amazing and you xan't really tell if it's fake or not, as it happens with the full lashes. Thanks, you are amazing!

Thank you so much for that. I think the individual lashes look much better than the strip lashes. Will definetly be trying those x
I never really comment, but this video was incredibly informative with great tips and tricks!! Thank you ♥️
hello, love your videos! one question, how do you remove individual lashes ?
@adoringcarmine thanks! My lipstick is L'Oreal Colour Riche in 'Golden Vanilla' x
Holy moly. That was a superb video. Well articulated, concise(really don't like chatty videos), informative and great angels. Really great.
I know this is an older video but it is wonderful! I just subscribed! I am older and have a hard time with the strips and this looks so much easier. Thank you for the amazing close up, it helps me understand a lot better. Have a beautiful day........
this video is really helpfull =] thank you x
you remind me of natalie portman!
keira knightley too
I get Michelle Dockery!
I second this

Wow you look a lot younger here! Amazing video, Thankyou :) and your eyebrows look so gorgeous too!

Hi could you tell me how do you remove the false eyelashes, I loved your tutorial on lashes but as a novice I would like to know if there is a certain way you remove them thank you:)
Why I have not seen this video before?!?!?!? Anywho, thanx and I was wondering should I do my entire look first and than lashes or lashes first ???
wow that looks lovely on you lisa :)
do you have any make up looks for long eye lashes but very small eye lids? i mean the gaps between eye lash and where it creases, (usually where liquid eye liner goes ) i cant wear it because it takes up the whole of my eye! thankss: ) x
Extremely helpful I have always been intimidated by individual lashes, thank you for the tip!

FINALLY someone who can properly tell me how to put these damn things on! Thank you!!
Thank you, that was very helpful! I tried using them today and they all fell off when I tried to apply mascara, so I think this will help me figure out where I went wrong when I try again tomorrow.
OMG THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN APPLING MY LASHES WRONG THIS VIDEO HAS HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY 👍👍👍👍✌
I wonder how to use it b4 now I know! Thanks! I wonder if you can re use it again?
@VictoriaLynnT93 ha! thats great, i love it! Thanks for letting me know x
thanks Lisa! Who knew that turning the package upside down would cure all of my problems! haha
best video ever!!! i seen others but this is the best one thank u
If the long lashes are too long, instead of binning them wouldn't it be wise to just trim the lashes down to size?
if you trim them they will look trimmed and very unnatural no matter how you cute them because the end of the lashes wont have a thin look like normal lashes do it wont look right
wow! thanks! it looks weird when I use individual falsies, I always though they were a waste of time. definitely going to re-look into them
I prefer individual lashes they take a little longer to apply but I think that they look the most natural. I now need to try the ardell ones!
great tips thanks.i chose you vid for my 1st time with the individual lashes.I'll let you know how they turn out
