This was initially supposed to be a short 50 frame wwx animatic, but since I like to suffer it ended up as a way longer one centered around lwj (the one mdzs character I cannot draw for shit rip), so I pray I will be forgiven for this being a bit rushed and also for making it about lwj (though let's be real, it's what wwx would have wanted.)
The timeline probably makes zero sense, but I'm chalking it up to this all being in lwj's head, so the events that transpire are neither consecutive nor entirely accurate.
Characters are from "Mo dao zu shi" and belong to Mo Xiang Tong xiu
Song: "Some die young" covered by Kaiak
Software used is procreate and premiere pro

I always knew this but seriously the fact that WWX actually came back to LWJ against all odds is a miracle. They got a second chance that people would kill to have. Of course Lan Zhan is going to cling to him as hard as he could now that he's back. After all those years of yearning and mourning. All those missed opportunities because he was so repressed and held himself back so much. I just woke up but I'm already crying over these boys 😭 thank you this was beautiful

Honestly, I would love to read (or maybe even write) the book or a small part of it from Lan Wangji’s perspective.
That would certainly be interesting, would read that fic!
I thought only I am the one who is literally desperate to know LWJ's perspective in MDZS like what he was thinking at what occasion and while he was holding himself back, what was going on in his head/heart? I wish it was mixed perspective so we know more of LWJ! I know his actions speak for themselves but sometimes words also clarify things

1:00 this was the exact moment i started crying. this song fits so well and it hurts :( when jiang yanli and jin zixuan appeared I lost it again. Wei Wuxian deserved to live a long happy life in his first life. It pains me to think for 13 years Lan Zhan was suffering alone in his pining for wwx and drowning in the words he never got to express to him. which makes me so happy they got their second chance.

Also I myself very very very much appreciate that you animate the full songs, thats a lot of frames and you need to plan out a lot of scenes, and also be sure to divide them out, and every frame is so good too, like the expressions and "vibe". Like damn good job on this
