Based on what I’ve learned in my olapex classes you never inhale the product lol. There is a patented formula that works as glue to repair the bonds that are broken in the hair. No.1 has more of the patented repair ingredients than No.3. You can never over use olaplex because it’s not protein. It may not repair loss of curl pattern but it will repair the bonds that are broken with heat styling. That means after continuous use it will prevent further damaged because the “glue” is holding everything together. Without it, damaged hair breaks down over time, Olapex holds the bonds together until you can trim or your hair naturally starts to return to a healthier state.
Hey, I need help. I have natural hair and I don’t use heat. Wash, flat twist and let air dry. However lately I noticed my hair is matting/ tangling in bunches at the shaft. Never happened before. Would this work?
@@ConcreteRoseKei not if the matting is from dryness. Olapex is not hydrating. I would need to do a consultation but I recommend the pureology hydrate super food treatment on wash day once a week. Going to long between washes has been the main cause of matting with my clients. Hope this helps beauty
Hey , can you please help me I have curlyhair but a stylist straightened it once and now my hair won't curl even a bit what can I do? Please guide me there's no professional ik that I can approach, also there's no curly hair saloon / studio in India Please help me 🥺
The crazy thing is Olaplex actually put the No. 0 in a spray bottle with the new packaging. So confusing with the mixed messaging. If it’s dangerous to inhale, it should’ve even be on the market
I adore Olaplex No. 3 for my relaxed hair as a preventative maintenance treatment on relaxer day to repair the broken bonds in my strands. It’s a staple!! Keep using it💕💕
I can't believe I never heard of it for so long! I feel like my relaxer days would have been a lot more successful if I had known about this bond builder treatment! I'll definitely us it again.
I def noticed a difference in my heat damaged strands with each wash. My hair looks amazing! I’m using protective styles while using this treatment in between.
Thats amazing and keep up with that method it really works. My hair has broken off already because I did not give my hair a break so doing the protective styles doing this grow out phase will really save your hair.
Hey Loves, Sooooo..... OOOPS Olaplex is not a protein treatment its a BOND BUILDER 😂🤷🏾♀️ Since I love yall I bought this product ASAP after yall raved about it in the comments and wanted me to try it and share my impression of it. So forgive the mix up. I never used or heard of a bond builder in my whole little curly life but I'm glad I know the difference and the benefits of it; ITS A MIRACLE WORKER. So for all of you saying it works better with time, I bet but I'm not paying $60 again when it runs out😅; My pockets wont let me, it was so much fun trying it though! As always thanks for watching, yall make me feel so special!!!❤️❤️❤️
What Olaplex does is that it ‘catches’ the loose sulphate bonds in the hair and connect them back together again - so it repairs without adding anything in to the hair like a normal protein treatment ( a normal protein treatment works by adding protein to the hair - but it can’t ‘fix’ anything...) Think of olaplex like adding mortar to a brick wall :) Another thing - one treatment is great, but the hair looses protein bonds every single day - so to get the full effect on really damaged hair you should do a full treatment , then use the no 4-5-6-7 after - followed by a no 3 treatment one week later - and then again a 0+3 treatment a week later again - still using 4-5-6-7 ;) No 0 is the at home version of the salon treatment no 1.... and no 3 is the at home version of salon treatment no 2... it does make it the most effective at home treatment, but salon treatment has even more of the olaplex complex in its no 1 and 2 ( that’s why it’s professional use only) A little tip - try saturating over a bowl starting from the ends - that way, what drips down you can suck up again either with the hair or a no spray bottle ( oh - and there is a reason we use no spray bottles in salon to a it’s to make sure we don’t aerosolize the product , like you discovered ;) )
@@Sexycheeks it connects broken disulfide bonds that are broken due to heat damage, color, bleach damage, its amazing I am a licensed cosmetologist and use it in my hair and on my clients hair all the time. Just an FYI. 3 works great alone and 0 just came out recently. You don't have to use both, but I did just by 0 to try it out. I also use the shampoo and conditioner and leave in which are wonderful! I'm going to try the oil too.
Actually it will work without the #0. Initially the #1&2 were to be done in the salon. #3 was for take home use. #0 was added sometime later! I myself used #3 many years without #0 and still had great results.
When Sephora sold out I ordered a 5 item set from Dermstore. I ended up paying $53 for it once the 15% discount, you get when signing up for emails, was applied. Still waiting for it to arrive via USPS.

Got credit card in hand about to place my order as we speak lol Your results were bomb after one use!
Great video! FYI olaplex has been posting on various post reviewing their products and say not to put it into a spray bottle. I recently purchased the products as well and like it too. 😊😊
Try the number 1 and 2 in saloons. They’re more concentrated 🥰 and yes it’s not a protein, it’s actually protein free! So protein sensitive people can also use it. ❤️ marry Christmas 🎄
Btw olaplex isn't a protein treatment. It's a bond reconstructor. So it repairs the bonds that have been broken from either heat damage (unintentional), heat training (intentional), any colour services ect. It ensures that the bonds in the hair stay healthy
Thanks for the clarification! I wondered if it was a protein treatment since it gave similar results as the aphogee 2 step treatment. I'll continue to use it since you said it works better with time!❤
It's a bond builder. Cosmetologists Brittney Gray and Janae Miller have made videos about it on their channels, as well as a chemist who's youtube channel is Lab Muffin Beauty Science.
Two to three treatments of bentonite clay mixed with water and olive oil to revert heat damage. You dont have to do the wheel head, just the heat damaged sections.
It definitely does. The 0 though smh..... I wish there was a better way to apply it because that little stream of product is a BUST especially for someone who is self-applying.
Both they work in combination with each other. Do 4-6 weeks with olaplex and 4-6 week with protein and alternate or do olaplex and a light Aphoghee together
So I've heard lol. I figured it wasn't a protein treatment but once I have an idea in my mind of what it is my words will slip up and follow. I'll pin a comment to fully clarify what this product is.
I knew you would like it! It looks like it made a big difference to me. I wish you would keep using it consistently but I understand that price is ridiculous 😂
Olaplex isn't a protein treatment per say, tho it has protein in it. It's not meant to treat heat damaged hair per say, only to rebuild the bonds in chemically processed hair but it should help rebuild bonds that are heat damaged.
Product companies are trippin these days with these premium prices; if it wasn't for my subbies I would've never tired it but it did give me amazing results so I can't complain to much......well for $60 I think I got the right to be annoyed at least.
😂 love this video! I’m doing this splurge treatment today, just got my products and yes will be using the Target bag as well since I forgot shower caps!!😂😂😂✌🏽💯

It works fine without the 0 - Olaplex 0 is made as a part of a 2 step treatment to mimic a salon treatment ( where we use 1 and 2 ) Ofcourse there is less of the active component in the 0 and 3, but the way you use is pretty much the same... It’s kind of like a ‘more is better’ situation because the more you use olaplex, the better your hair repairs itself - and it works because it’s not an ‘add on’ like any proteins or moisture treatment ( which is why no 3 is supposed to be shampooed out of the hair after..) It uses the loose protein bonds in the hairstrand to fuse together again, to rebuild the hair with its own buildingblocks..... Where a normal protein treatment will ‘fill up’ the hair with the protein of choice, but that will wash out over time too...
I just worked with the hair that I have. The Olaplex did strengthen it (prevented it from breaking) but the curl pattern is still loose especially when wet but not a big deal in regards to styling and my overall hair health.
