This season of S&L is definitely up there with season 1 being top tier. So many twists and turns. Lex Luthor actually being framed for murder, actually being the victim is a far cry from how his character is usually betrayed throughout DC history. But he will soon get his revenge on the Man Of Steel and ace reporter Lois Lane. This Natalie and Matteo situation can end up very badly....I'm wondering how this scenario of Romeo and Juliet will end up? Peia is torn between what to do, her time in the land of the living is almost up....will she make a big sacrifice? Bizarro has finally woke up from his stasis...what will he do? Will he remember being on this Earth's side protecting it from Parasite? Or will he be a mindless zombie like his original iterations and destroy the city causing chaos? Will Bizarro die again sacrificing himself for Superman and Lois?
I'm just spitballing here, and I haven't thought about it for very long, but maybe Nat & Matteo sneak out of their homes to meet each other. Nat is just as smart, if not smarter, than her dad, so it shouldn't be too hard. She then flies him off to where Peia is being kept, but Bruno put a tracker on Matteo, so Bizzaro, somehow controlled by Bruno, steps in to keep Superman busy, while Intergang soldiers bust Peia out of the facility. Maybe Matteo gets caught in the crossfire and gets seriously injured, which would be devastating for Nat. Even if Bruno & Peia somehow survive their battles with Superman & Lois, I doubt Lex will be happy to find out that one of his accomplices framed him and put him in prison for nearly 2 decades. If Matteo survives, I doubt he'd stay in Metropolis because living there would be a reminder of what his parents did.
I'd suggest that Lex will feel more like seeking revenge on Bruno et al than Clark and Lois - it's those two who will be exposing his wrongful conviction, thus being the catalyst for his release. Even if they played a part investigating Lex prior to his conviction, the authorities tapped the phone line and got an unknowingly fake confession to convict him of murder. Bruno and Peia created the evidence that put him away so Bruno could take control of Hob's Bay. Personally I'd want revenge on the people who framed me rather than exonerated me. I've no idea if this Lex knows Superman's identity so he may still be after superman, even if Clark helps him get freedom... You know, I would actually love to see Peia make some sacrifice or some attempt toward her redemption before her seemingly impending death. She seemed conflicted by her and Bruno's crimes for 'the greater good'. It's gonna be on like Donkey Kong.
Dewayne Armstrong bro it literally doesn't matter if he was framed for...anything. he may not be guilty of those particular murders but he is guilty of thousand more murders. Who cares if he was framed. He is exactly where he deserves to be, rotting in prison.
We see John Henry fixing his suit in the closing montage of his episode. And Wolé Parks (the actor who plays him) did tease some upgrades. So maybe we'll get a more comic-accurate Steel suit?
I want to commend Bruno’s actor for his portrayal. One moment Bruno is this nice, lovable dad at the dinner and at the flip of a coin, he turns into this deadly serious mob boss sticking to his words. I do like the scene where Superman offers to take Peia to the hospital. It was another wonderful reminder of who Superman is. It sounds silly to say but I do love how Tyler Hoechlin portrays Superman as well how he is written in the show. At the end, I can see both sides of the argument. John was almost killed by Peia and her husband in front of his daughter. Bruno did almost kill Darlene. As for Clark, he and Bruno are in the same situation with their wives’s cancer. If Peia is dying, it would be cruel to keep her from her family. Yes, she’s a bad person and has killed people. So, I don’t think she should be released. Idk for sure what I would in their place, but I’d think showing compassion is better than withholding it. It’s better to treat someone how you’d like to be treated to be treated than to treat someone as badly as they treat you.
The actress portraying Peia is killing it too. You can tell she's conflicted by her and Bruno's more evil actions for 'the greater good'. On that note I'd really like to see her attempt some redemption before her seemingly impending death. They are doing a great job of humanizing the antagonists this season. I actually agreed with Lois' initial response to the secret wife story. Without evidence of criminal activity, it would just seem like gossip aimed squarely at an innocent and dying woman. Considering the difficulty getting info on Bruno and the lengths he went to to protect Peia, it's not likely the way to get evidence against him. Those super classified files Lois shouldn't have are likely the way. "This is the way" ;-) It's a really interesting angle that Lois and Clark will expose the wrongful conviction of Lex via the Bruno files too, meaning they will be the catalyst for his release. I'm really digging the moral / ethical uncertainty and dilemmas they are digging into this season. Intelligent writing ftw.

I think this will eventually lead to Jordan coming out to the world as superbly finally understand how much working at the fire station means to John, and if he continues to hide himself from the world then it could cost Jon his job. And we never got confirmation that Jordan was going to be a secret superhero forever so now might be the perfect chance.

HELLO: do you think Kyle will think Johnathan has powers? I dont get why Nat is upset by not being able to see Mateo but his parents beat and tried to kill her dad and then had no issues killing her next along with the rest of former John Henry's generations. I do feel at some point Johnathan stress will ignite his powers soon (he has been a hero longer than Jordan). I believe Lois will be examined by John Henry sister Darlene at some point and realize Manheim is overdosing her system to kill her and keep her outta his way! Clark goes off because he and Lois had compassion while Peia was dying for Manheim and their son. Luthor being angry at Lois and Clark is pointless because it took 20 yrs and life experiences to be able to find records due to Manheim/Peia behaviors to get him released and cleared of that situation of wrong doings. Issue is everybody knows where everyone lives now so theres no privacy or a place to feel safe. And that's because of Sarah
This episode was amazing! They were able to juggle so many characters and so many storylines that then overlapped. Every single character got a little arc and the ending montage perfectly shows how well this was done, showing every main character and where they are at in their respective stories. That scene where Matteo goes “hey your dads here” and it just reveals John Henry at the door right before the cut to commercial was so cool, reminded me of the homecoming Vulture reveal. And the following scene of Bruno beating on John was brutal! Him having to allow Superman to take Peia to the hospital and then allowing John Henry to leave was so emotional. This was definitely the highlight of the episode, Bruno is definitely up there with Kingpin for the greatest comic book show villains.
Catchy title aside, i actually agreed with Lois re the exposing Peia story. Without evidence of criminal activity or accusations thereof, that story would simply look like a gossip story, aimed squarely at a woman dying of cancer. If I were Lois, I wouldn't want to sacrifice my journalistic integrity and be seen to be attacking a dying woman, for the small chance that magically led to pivotal information on Bruno. I don't think *that's* how criminal info would be shaken loose. Bruno wanted to protect Peia to the extent of not wanting her to be judged by his reputation, so I don't think he'd allow evidence of his crimes to be linked to her identity. We saw that if anything, it's the top secret classified argus files that Lois absolutely should not legally be able to access (lol), that are the likely key to putting the pieces together. I find it narratively very cool, that Lois and Clark are going to be the catalyst for Lex to be released from prison, by exposing his wrongful conviction. It explains why we've not heard anyone talk about Lex's impending release - there was none. With the cancer, Bruno, Peia, Intergang, Lex, Bizzaro and all that, it's on like Donkey Kong for the rest of the season. I'm curious as to how it will play out. I can understand if the cancer story arc is too difficult for some people to watch, especially since they are doing a realistic portrayal. I lost my mother and other relatives and friends to it, have relatives currently battling it and not doing well, etc. I get it. However, those just saying the season is outright bad, I feel mustn't appreciate good story telling.

I don't know if Peia always had her powers or came into them later, and I know Bruno has clearly been using her to handle problems, but there's just no way I would've went to the lengths he's gone with her at this stage. It didn't really hit me until that gruesome scene where the camera honed in on Peia's face in that alley. For Bruno to see what was happening there and not stop her is insane to me. Like what did he think was gonna happen? She's all ready being destroyed by the Cancer, and even more by the chemo, so not calculating the clear potential max strain, or worse not caring is real villainy. And also ironic in the fact that after his long feud with Luthor, it very much feels like an emotionally reckless move that Lex would pull. Speaking of the Lex and irony, it doesn't get more ironic in a classic sense when you go through all the Superman media through the years that here we have his arch nemesis having to admit that they may have actually wronged Lex Luthor. That's a different gear in the writing and as Boba said, sets up some real interesting possibilities. Once again S3 is top tier.

One thing I noticed as well is that the x kryptonite that effected his face is visibly starting to wear off as well as the scars from it is starting to disappear as well
I actually have a different idea since there’s like five episodes left. My idea is they are going to use lex being released from prison as a sort of cliffhanger to set up season four where he is the main villain and did anyone else notice that clark must be having some deja vu moving lois into that room. thats the room his mom died in from her sickness now moving his wife into the same room

Does anyone else wonder if Peia somehow got cancer through her powers, kinda like how Vulture in the Insomniac Spider-Man game got spinal cancer from his wings' power source? It would be an interesting juxtaposition to Clark; He ages at a slower rate than humans (in Batman Beyond, Bruce is in his 70s-80s, whereas Clark barely looks 50), and he can't get sick the way humans do, whereas Peia's powers are literally killing her.
Sofiyab Ali I feel like his aging should be much slower than that. Didn't Zod and his crew search for Clark Kent for 33 years before they found him? But they barely aged a day. Clearly, even without yellow sun radiation, Kryptonians have a far superior physiology and biological than humans.
I'll be honest, moving to Vancouver isn't going to save this show from CW's budget cuts. I think they'll definitely make a potential 4th and final season a grand one and not cheapened due to Nextstar. Their best bet I think is letting HBO Max give this show a final season and end it the way it needs to.

Top secret classified files from argus aren't easy to obtain. She legally shouldn't have any access to them. I really don't think that's a plot hole of any kind. She only met Diggle in season 1 and may have only been able to build rapport and find out about the files a few months ago, and Diggle only just handed them over to Sam. I see no issue.

Lois used to be all about the Investigation counts, personal should not play a part in keeping a story from coming out... she made friends with Pea in Hobbs Bay I get that, but not such good friends that she will betray her deepest ethics as a Journalist... nothing makes sense this season. That would be entirely out of character. It's one thing to dabble secretly in power giving drugs, it's another to go to your fathers knowingly evil arch nemesis... plus they did evil superboy with bizarro Jon El last season, don't think they'll keep repeating the same note.
@@BatmanBeyondZ Jordan may have been a jerk to him, but really, all it will take to set things straight at the firehouse is for Kyle to be brought in on the secret along with his ex wife, daughter and girlfriend. I think that'll be settled and Jon will continue in the junior program. His character followed a dark path last season and he's getting it together and finding purpose, I don't think they'll change direction again this season tbh.
John Henry was way out of line so what If matteo's parents were criminals that doesn't mean matteo us he is not responsible for what his parents do you cannot judge people based on they're families we are not our parents, and we are not our families I can sense a huge fight between Natalie, and John Henry coming on I can tell there is going to be alot of tension.
I don't think it's at all about judgement of Matteo as a person - JH actually seemed to believe Nat that Matteo didn't know. He responded it didn't matter. I agree. If he was an adult it would be a different story but he's essentially property of his father while a minor, and even if he himself is safe, a young teen girl associating with him is not. It puts Nat and JH at risk of being hurt or killed by Bruno even more than they already are.
They're idiots for cancelling a show like this. But I'm not surprised. All the good shows only get a few seasons because people are obsessed with terrible real life shows that go on and on and on. I barely even watch shows anymore, only the old ones. No use in getting into new shows, they don't last. This is the only one I watch. I'm so disappointed in people the last few years.
We already heard from James Gunn himself earlier this year that S&L would carry on for a season or two, he saw no reason to end the show but that's still up to the CW themselves. Tbh... I have been really disappointed with this season, this latest ep was no exception.. if the show carried another season in this kind of direction storytelling wise, I am not sure if I would care as much. This is not a Superman show this season, I don't care if you drop hints at Lex Luthor or Intergang... this season is driven entirely by the Cancer plot and everybody trying to find love or purpose as a mayor or firefighter. That's fine but shouldn't be the A stories all the time. And this season doesn't look like a very expensive season to make tbh because of how much they are cutting back on the Superman stuff.. it looks more on par with the other CW hero shows in scope and ambition.

The fact Lois is such a major character really makes this a Superman & Lois show hence the name, not just Superman action which it sounds like your expecting.
I can't seem t enjoy this season at all. It barely has anything to do with superman. More like Struggles Of Lois and Clark in Smallville. If it was comic book superman he would search the universe for a cure to save Lois. But nah all we got was the half assed answer that it would be unfair for humans to use kryptonian tech to save his wife. I am like cmon, Clark feels like a total Beta this season plus the focus on every other family in Smallville. Idk where this show is heading honestly, but as the title stating it should be superman and Loises life. Not Clark and rest of the smallville drama.

If he mysteriously cures his wife the most famous reporter “on 2 earths” of cancer and nobody else you think that’s fair? You think that’s what Superman stands for? Boba I would love to see you watch and review these last 4 episodes of the Flash from 9x9 to 9x13. I’m well aware just how bad this show has gotten...Eric Wallace and Co. truly destroyed the quality and it has caused me so much grief and unhappiness. But, for as bad as 9x1 to 9x08 were, for the first time in 3 years we got an episode in 9x10 that brought me back to season 1-3 in its quality and dialogue, in its focus on BARRY instead of these awful new side characters...I miss watching your reviews on this show back when it was still great. If you find the time, especially for 9x10 (although 9x9 is solid as well) I know myself and a lot of others would love to see you review this last arc especially since it’s the Eddie Cobalt blue we’ve all wanted for years and I’m hoping the quality stays at the level of the last episode

The actress portraying Peia is killing it too. You can tell she's conflicted by her and Bruno's more evil actions for 'the greater good'. On that note I'd really like to see her attempt some redemption before her seemingly impending death.
They are doing a great job of humanizing the antagonists this season. I actually agreed with Lois' initial response to the secret wife story. Without evidence of criminal activity, it would just seem like gossip aimed squarely at an innocent and dying woman. Considering the difficulty getting info on Bruno and the lengths he went to to protect Peia, it's not likely the way to get evidence against him. Those super classified files Lois shouldn't have are likely the way. "This is the way" ;-)
It's a really interesting angle that Lois and Clark will expose the wrongful conviction of Lex via the Bruno files too, meaning they will be the catalyst for his release. I'm really digging the moral / ethical uncertainty and dilemmas they are digging into this season. Intelligent writing ftw.

I think this will eventually lead to Jordan coming out to the world as superbly finally understand how much working at the fire station means to John, and if he continues to hide himself from the world then it could cost Jon his job. And we never got confirmation that Jordan was going to be a secret superhero forever so now might be the perfect chance.

HELLO: do you think Kyle will think Johnathan has powers? I dont get why Nat is upset by not being able to see Mateo but his parents beat and tried to kill her dad and then had no issues killing her next along with the rest of former John Henry's generations. I do feel at some point Johnathan stress will ignite his powers soon (he has been a hero longer than Jordan). I believe Lois will be examined by John Henry sister Darlene at some point and realize Manheim is overdosing her system to kill her and keep her outta his way! Clark goes off because he and Lois had compassion while Peia was dying for Manheim and their son. Luthor being angry at Lois and Clark is pointless because it took 20 yrs and life experiences to be able to find records due to Manheim/Peia behaviors to get him released and cleared of that situation of wrong doings. Issue is everybody knows where everyone lives now so theres no privacy or a place to feel safe. And that's because of Sarah
This episode was amazing! They were able to juggle so many characters and so many storylines that then overlapped. Every single character got a little arc and the ending montage perfectly shows how well this was done, showing every main character and where they are at in their respective stories. That scene where Matteo goes “hey your dads here” and it just reveals John Henry at the door right before the cut to commercial was so cool, reminded me of the homecoming Vulture reveal. And the following scene of Bruno beating on John was brutal! Him having to allow Superman to take Peia to the hospital and then allowing John Henry to leave was so emotional. This was definitely the highlight of the episode, Bruno is definitely up there with Kingpin for the greatest comic book show villains.
Catchy title aside, i actually agreed with Lois re the exposing Peia story. Without evidence of criminal activity or accusations thereof, that story would simply look like a gossip story, aimed squarely at a woman dying of cancer. If I were Lois, I wouldn't want to sacrifice my journalistic integrity and be seen to be attacking a dying woman, for the small chance that magically led to pivotal information on Bruno. I don't think *that's* how criminal info would be shaken loose. Bruno wanted to protect Peia to the extent of not wanting her to be judged by his reputation, so I don't think he'd allow evidence of his crimes to be linked to her identity. We saw that if anything, it's the top secret classified argus files that Lois absolutely should not legally be able to access (lol), that are the likely key to putting the pieces together.
I find it narratively very cool, that Lois and Clark are going to be the catalyst for Lex to be released from prison, by exposing his wrongful conviction. It explains why we've not heard anyone talk about Lex's impending release - there was none.
With the cancer, Bruno, Peia, Intergang, Lex, Bizzaro and all that, it's on like Donkey Kong for the rest of the season. I'm curious as to how it will play out.
I can understand if the cancer story arc is too difficult for some people to watch, especially since they are doing a realistic portrayal. I lost my mother and other relatives and friends to it, have relatives currently battling it and not doing well, etc. I get it.
However, those just saying the season is outright bad, I feel mustn't appreciate good story telling.

I had to do a WTF at the idea that in all the years Lois has tried to find dirt on Bruno Manheim, she only JUST got access to top secret files on him... so they knew all along he was this dangerous but did nothing? This is creating more holes than helping this season.

If this show gets cancelled, it will demonstrate just how stupid a network can be.
I don't know if Peia always had her powers or came into them later, and I know Bruno has clearly been using her to handle problems, but there's just no way I would've went to the lengths he's gone with her at this stage. It didn't really hit me until that gruesome scene where the camera honed in on Peia's face in that alley. For Bruno to see what was happening there and not stop her is insane to me. Like what did he think was gonna happen? She's all ready being destroyed by the Cancer, and even more by the chemo, so not calculating the clear potential max strain, or worse not caring is real villainy. And also ironic in the fact that after his long feud with Luthor, it very much feels like an emotionally reckless move that Lex would pull.
Speaking of the Lex and irony, it doesn't get more ironic in a classic sense when you go through all the Superman media through the years that here we have his arch nemesis having to admit that they may have actually wronged Lex Luthor. That's a different gear in the writing and as Boba said, sets up some real interesting possibilities. Once again S3 is top tier.

One thing I noticed as well is that the x kryptonite that effected his face is visibly starting to wear off as well as the scars from it is starting to disappear as well
I really hope that they will get a 4th season. Definitely been one of the best series from the CW.

I actually have a different idea since there’s like five episodes left. My idea is they are going to use lex being released from prison as a sort of cliffhanger to set up season four where he is the main villain and did anyone else notice that clark must be having some deja vu moving lois into that room. thats the room his mom died in from her sickness now moving his wife into the same room

Does anyone else wonder if Peia somehow got cancer through her powers, kinda like how Vulture in the Insomniac Spider-Man game got spinal cancer from his wings' power source? It would be an interesting juxtaposition to Clark; He ages at a slower rate than humans (in Batman Beyond, Bruce is in his 70s-80s, whereas Clark barely looks 50), and he can't get sick the way humans do, whereas Peia's powers are literally killing her.

I'll be honest, moving to Vancouver isn't going to save this show from CW's budget cuts. I think they'll definitely make a potential 4th and final season a grand one and not cheapened due to Nextstar. Their best bet I think is letting HBO Max give this show a final season and end it the way it needs to.
Basically I don't want Supergirl level effects for season 4 lol.

Top secret classified files from argus aren't easy to obtain. She legally shouldn't have any access to them. I really don't think that's a plot hole of any kind. She only met Diggle in season 1 and may have only been able to build rapport and find out about the files a few months ago, and Diggle only just handed them over to Sam. I see no issue.

Lois used to be all about the Investigation counts, personal should not play a part in keeping a story from coming out... she made friends with Pea in Hobbs Bay I get that, but not such good friends that she will betray her deepest ethics as a Journalist... nothing makes sense this season. THen she sees the file on Bruno and realizes oh crap... maybe we should expose him more... that's all it took conveniently a box of files she curiously glanced at when she was prepared to turn a complete blind eye to Pea and Bruno.

His character followed a dark path last season and he's getting it together and finding purpose, I don't think they'll change direction again this season tbh.

John Henry was way out of line so what If matteo's parents were criminals that doesn't mean matteo us he is not responsible for what his parents do you cannot judge people based on they're families we are not our parents, and we are not our families I can sense a huge fight between Natalie, and John Henry coming on I can tell there is going to be alot of tension.
I don't think it's at all about judgement of Matteo as a person - JH actually seemed to believe Nat that Matteo didn't know. He responded it didn't matter. I agree. If he was an adult it would be a different story but he's essentially property of his father while a minor, and even if he himself is safe, a young teen girl associating with him is not. It puts Nat and JH at risk of being hurt or killed by Bruno even more than they already are.

They're idiots for cancelling a show like this. But I'm not surprised. All the good shows only get a few seasons because people are obsessed with terrible real life shows that go on and on and on. I barely even watch shows anymore, only the old ones. No use in getting into new shows, they don't last. This is the only one I watch. I'm so disappointed in people the last few years.

We already heard from James Gunn himself earlier this year that S&L would carry on for a season or two, he saw no reason to end the show but that's still up to the CW themselves. Tbh... I have been really disappointed with this season, this latest ep was no exception.. if the show carried another season in this kind of direction storytelling wise, I am not sure if I would care as much. This is not a Superman show this season, I don't care if you drop hints at Lex Luthor or Intergang... this season is driven entirely by the Cancer plot and everybody trying to find love or purpose as a mayor or firefighter. That's fine but shouldn't be the A stories all the time. And this season doesn't look like a very expensive season to make tbh because of how much they are cutting back on the Superman stuff.. it looks more on par with the other CW hero shows in scope and ambition.

Boba I would love to see you watch and review these last 4 episodes of the Flash from 9x9 to 9x13. I’m well aware just how bad this show has gotten...Eric Wallace and Co. truly destroyed the quality and it has caused me so much grief and unhappiness. But, for as bad as 9x1 to 9x08 were, for the first time in 3 years we got an episode in 9x10 that brought me back to season 1-3 in its quality and dialogue, in its focus on BARRY instead of these awful new side characters...I miss watching your reviews on this show back when it was still great. If you find the time, especially for 9x10 (although 9x9 is solid as well) I know myself and a lot of others would love to see you review this last arc especially since it’s the Eddie Cobalt blue we’ve all wanted for years and I’m hoping the quality stays at the level of the last episode
