LOWESTOFT COUNCIL WATCH Episode 3 - The Town Hall Project and whispers

In this 3rd video on my new channel highlighting the activities of Lowestoft Town Council, at Councillor Pearce's request, I've not gone back to the old material, but looked at the current videos released. The Lowestoft Town Hall project is interesting, and what got me about this meeting was Councillor Brooks reporting of a member of the public who wishes to serve as a non-councillor on a committee. This is an established feature of some committees when they seek to get specific help, guidance and input from outsiders who are more well versed in certain areas. Clearly, not all members present were aware who this individual was who had volunteered. Details such as this are a sensible use of the in private sessions - and keeping these sorts of details private until they can be made public a proper thing to do. Having the Mayor stepping in to get people back to the meeting after having little chats at the back of the room is a bit odd though? See what you think?

I can only guess at how many pages of text you received from Cllr Pearce (AKA Andy from The Andy & Wendy Show). I doubt it was less than around 10 pages of A4 as he specialises in such wordy nonsense so that the reader will normally begin to lose the will to live before beginning to just skim over it all. He just can't keep it short and sweet but prefers bludgeoning any topic almost to death.

I think that's one of the reasons I decided to do these videos. Let's face it - we have lots of issues in the area, yet these two monopolise every meeting because they're on almost every committee - so it just goes on and on, and some quite decent other members just don't get the chance to be involved.

@@pauljohnson4590 Well I am very much enjoying your laid-back, articulate and witty presentation of the sad facts so well picked up and highlighted. Yes we have a lot of issues and Lowestoft Town Council could be a vehicle for positivity and good for our town. However these two clowns are single-handedly turning our parish council into a complete and utter joke. There's no working collaboratively with other councils, they just ostracise themselves and East Suffolk Council and Suffolk County Council (I feel sure) avoid LTC as much as they possibly can.
