I do it with a brown waterproof eye pencil, the ones that you twist with a rounded stump. It’s much easier and quicker to apply that way (though you have to practice a bit as with any make up technique) and it lasts longer
I KNOW I literally will put like a tiny bit of concealer under my eyes and my eyes are watering for the rest of the day so if I did this the ink would just wash away in my tears 😂😂
This technique usually is safer/easier with pencil or gel liners because they will adhere to the lashes a bit more, and the ink won't bleed into the liquid already in your eye if it smudges. Also, it's not necessary for most eye types except monolids (unless ofc you really like it)

I'm speaking as a person with monolids and straight thin eyelashes, so it works for me and a majority of east asian people, but maybe not for people with thicker lashes. I put it on from underneath the lashes, as close to the eye as possible, and I use a twist up pencil eyeliner for precision and so I don't poke myself. Mascara usually takes care of the smudging and clumps in my lashes anyway, and bc of my monolids, I usually have to erase with makeup remover on a q-tip anyways...
@ML_L I have a similar problem. There is alot of lashes, and they aren't in neat rows. They kinda grow where they want and some are below my main row so it messes up with that type of application
Btw, you don't want to put eyeliner here regularly because it can block your eye's Meibomian glands (they lubricate your eyes) and cause chronic dryness. Once a week is probably fine. Stay safe 💜

this does not work on my lashes, they are too thick, the eyelashes do not let the eyeliner stay straight and it smudges
