These speakers are a mixed bag ... very clean sounding before and after burning them in, awesome price for 8 inch monitors, the obvious pros and cons from one active and one passive monitors (cheaper to make, limited length on wire). Just too much distortion in the tweeter from low frequencies when the volume is turned up (especially from 808s) .... also too much hiss present when no audio is playin and the rear air port is a bit too audible compared to other speakers. My 10 year old iKey audio m808 v2 may not sound as crisp in the high end, but it holds tight in the mid to low end and the lower frequencies are a bit cleaner and heavier. Kali Audio and Adam Audio make nicer sounding speakers within the same price range. Adam Audio 7 inch t7v sound much better than these (I have the t8v - the heaviest low end, dont even need a sub!).
Hey bro is there a constant noise coming from them all the time is it noticable. Im seeing some bad reviews. When music is not playing are you hearing any noise floor?
Thank you for your lessons. You help me so much! I will be very happy and thankfull to you, if you'll show in your next video how to arrangement pop songs and which plagins to use for that 🙏❤ for example... Which to use for piano, guitar, wind instruments, violin.
Just putting the info out there since I couldn't find it anywhere before buying - these have no latency that I can detect, at least using the analogue inputs, I assume Bluetooth adds its own latency so I don't care about that, I don't use bluetooth for anything that's timing-critical. Yeah I know cabled-up speakers don't have latency, but these are powered and there could be some DSP going on the amp that could take time to process the signal. Since I'm going to use them a lot for playing instruments through in real time, I wanted to know before I bought them, but there was no info so I rolled the dice and bought them anyway. I tested by splitting the signal from a drum machine into one crx-xbt and one other amp/speaker that I know don't have any latency, there was no detectable "flam" sound or phasing between them.
Technical question, if we leave the REAR power switch on all the time and front button off, is the electricity active? Or we should switch OFF both switches? Appreciate comment..
don't buy mackie, bass heavy, muddy. Your ears get tired very quick. I have to turn volume down all the time. Big regret here. using FIIO DAC 32 bit /192 (knowingli crisp and sharp, yet with this speaker sound is muddy) mid is missing and low is muddy high is weak. dont get fooled by the 50cent foam. ou won't hear mid bcs of low and high is weak anyway

That was fire, Your dope Man thanks for sharing !!
I'm happy with my HS8s, but I do like the price on these
And Bluetooth. Idk, I feel like it's all subjective to the sound you prefer
Keep the HS8’s LOL
Love the song. I ordered the crx8's. It'll be my first pair of monitors. Great review, Mackie need to cut you a check.
The pair button is for bluetooth bro

I think Mackie is a Japanese brand. (1 active and passive) pair saves on power
Make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand for all that fire

Wegmans?!?! You from up north?
